Charlotte, NC
Do not look for modern amenities in this 90-​year-​old inn. The rooms have no phones, no AC, no TV, and no WiFi (although it is available in the lobby). The board and bat walls offer no insulation and everything in the next room can be heard. The staff is extremely nice. Breakfast and dinner are included, and the food is pretty good. The rugged ambiance is nice for a short stay.
