Was one of the only places open on a snowy Monday which I appreciate. The subs were basic cold deli subs. Only meatball sub was hot. I got the special and sadly would only rate it slightly above a clean Subway sammich. Get a gritle, heat my meat, and melt my cheese and it’s 4 stars until then, 3.

Absolutely amazing. You’ll never look at chain sub shops the same again. The only thing that needs to be changed are the hours… Be open more, Gary Z’s!

No complaints whatsoever. A great, quality sandwich at a fair price. The bread is fresh and the cheese is good even though it was white American, which I usually don’t like. I got the Italian and the small size filled me up. This place is very no frills and cute and it’s nice to support a local business. :)

These other reviews ain’t lyin. These subs are incredible. Hidden gem in southwest Michigan. I’ve lived in the area for 6 years, I’m pissed I hadn’t found it sooner. The secret is the bread. Fresh and perfect.

THE place to go for a really great, freshly prepared sub sandwich! My favorite hands down is the Italian. Bread is freshly made and very yummy. Limited hours — but a great go to for lunch! Local owners. No seating so be prepared to take your sub to go!

If you want a great sandwich that you know had been made fresh and is dang tasty, make a stop here. I regularly come here for lunch and would highly recommend it over the local Subway restaurant.
In fact, I wish that Gary-​Zs had a bigger presence than they do here, in Buchanan. Their prices are better, their subs are better and I’d rather be supporting local business than a franchise chain restaurant.
If you happen see that they have the pulled pork subs on special, GET ONE!
