Bully Xpress Pet Transport

The person who runs this business, Stephanie, IS a total fail. I was on Uship for the first time trying to transport my dogs from California to Kentucky. She bid on my transport and she then texts me saying that she can do it cheaper. I paid her $ 650 through paypal weeks in advance. She told me she can only pick up my dogs up on ⁸⁄₁₈. The day before, I contacted her, she said she maybe had to move the pick up date to ⁸⁄₁₉. AFTER I had put my dogs in a pet hotel to be picked up at. And the pet hotel charges me $ 100/​day for 2 pets. I firmly told her no, because she was so adamant about getting my dogs picked up on ⁸⁄₁₈. On ⁸⁄₁₈ she texts me saying she couldn’t pick my dogs up because a truck hit her while she was on the freeway and that she broke her wrist! She said she would pay for the extra day the dogs were in the pet hotel… She did not pick them up or respond to me!!! I called and I text her with no answer for days. She seemed a little suspicious in the beginning bc she would only insist on texting and not calling, but I really tried to keep it cool because I didn’t want her to bail out on picking up my dogs. After sending her numerous texts, she then said she would refund me, which she didn’t. Days past and I got so frustrated I just called my credit card company and they took care of everything. They did a charge back to her paypal.
My parents went to pick up the dogs from the pet hotel and I searched for a new transporter on Uship. The one I found did an excellent job communicating with me, updating my dogs’ status and they were very prompt. It was definitely worth the extra $ 200.
Overall Stephanie’s service was a big scam in my opinion. She’s untrustworthy, shady, a liar, and a thief. She picks and chooses how to run her business.
