Another excellent meal at DJ’s. Stopped in for breakfast sandwiches and ended up with a «Make your own Omelette» and Steak & egg sandwich. This is a small friendly group that does a ton of catering work locally and is gaining in popularity for the«go to» place for chicken. I’ve been before for chicken and other lunch and dinner items but this was the first time for breakfast. I was served a large rib eye topped with a perfectly cooked egg topped with cheddar cheese(real stuff, not processed) served with a generous portion of home fries. The Omelette was perfectly cooked and stuffed full of my choice, also served with today and home fries. Highly recommend giving DJ’s a try if you haven’t. It’s home cooking but you don’t have to do the dishes.

The wife and I were up that way getting pictures done at the Frederick Inn B&B and the photographer suggested DJ’s. We are very happy that she did. We ate in. DJ and Curt are very friendly. The food was excellent. The wife had the club sandwich w/mac & cheese and pasta salad.(The feta in the salad really made that special!!) I had the reuben w/fries and slaw. The reuben was very good. Just the right proportion of the ingredients. The slaw though was phenomenal!!! I’m very picky w/my cole slaw and theirs was almost as good as gramma’s. Although we are moving soon and probably won’t be able to go back we will definitely recommend this hidden gem to our friends in the area.

My friend and I went here on Friday for lunch, this was only our second time there but later that evening we ran into David(the DJ in the name) out in Frederick and not only did he remember us but asked how our lunch was! Their sandwiches are huge, I’ve had their chicken salad and not only was it the best I’ve ever had but it, along with the fries was so much food I ate it for lunch, some more for dinner, then the rest for lunch the next day. This has definitely become my go-to place anytime I want delicious food.

Dj’s catered an outdoor Halloween Party for our club this weekend. Everyone raved about the food. Juicy bbq and fried chicken. Amazing huge hotdogs. Coleslaw had the perfect tart to sweet ratio with a nice thick but tender cut to the cabbage. Although I love brisket, it usually gets stuck in my teeth. Not Dj’s! tender, juicy and flavorful. They also offered a baked potato bar. Great idea, perfectly cooked potatoes with lots of toppings. We look forward to attending any event they cater.

WOW! Hands down the best wings in Frederick County! They are the most juicy, moist, large wings you can get with the perfect breading. They are then pressure fried and appropriately drained, no greasy residue. The owner is a machine and he runs the entire joint with like 1 maybe 2 other people… never sacrificing quality or service. Ive eaten the pastrami, ruben, and chicken n waffles… all EXCELLENT! Its more of a takeout place right on 85. The dry rubs of Old Bay and Garlic Parm are outstanding, but so are the Honey BBQ and DJ Crazy style. The only downside is the hours, but My family makes time to eat this amazing food. You can truly tell the owner cares and appreciates his craft. A perfect meal is capped by getting some DJ’s and washing it down with some delicious craft beer from Mad Science, down the road in Adamstown. Maybe these guys can pair up for some real smack your mama cuisine!

Stopped by this evening and tried the rib eye sandwich. YUM! Perfectly cooked and so delicious with a sprinkling of fried onions. Handcut fires — oh yeah!

We used DJ’s for a large party at our house a couple weeks ago. The chicken is the best around. We have bought chicken from a number of places around Frederick and these guys are hands down the best. If you have not tried their ribeye steak sandwich, its wonderful. They don’t use steak umm’s, its a real piece of ribeye. The fries are truly hand cut and are excellent too. We have not had anything at DJ’s that we didn’t like. DJ and Kurt are great guys living the dream so you have to check them out.

Great food! Went to a catered party and the food was fabulous! Loved the pulled pork, cole slaw and fried chicken. I will always use DJ’s for my catering.

Stopped for breakfast. Don’t expect anything but takeout! 3 small tables max 6 people seated and picnic benches outside. But breakfast sandwich was good for the price. Unfortunately they ran out of bagels so I couldn’t get exactly what I wanted — not unexpected for a small establishment.

Broasted chicken and waffles a glorious meal for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Everything I’ve tried on the menu has been completely enjoyed comfort food. Feeling healthy that’s ok too DJ’s aims to please and will make you what you request, it doesn’t have to be on the menu. If you’re feeding a crowd the broasted chicken and some sides are perfect. DJ’s catered my family Christmas party 2014, I walked in and on short notice he hooked me up with a meal that everyone was thrilled with and asked to take home extras! I’ve been going at least once a week since then. Friendly service and the best comfort food around.

My friend and I went shopping near Frederick and wanted something delicious to eat before heading back home. Neither of us are terribly familiar with the area so, we consulted Unilocal and found that this place had all 5-star reviews. We were not disappointed! The food was wonderful. I had a crab cake(perfect), hand cut french fries and cole slaw. It was really good and filling. The fries were some of the best I’ve ever had. My friend had a club sandwich and fries and potato salad and was equally impressed. The décor is very very casual with just a few tables but it was nice and warm and the guys made sure that we were happy with our food. They even gave us samples of their baked mac and cheese bites… so good! The service was excellent and I will definitely be going back.

Welcome to Buckeystown, MD folks and probably one of the best kept secrets for not only your 3 squares a day, but catering needs as well. Having patronized the local Buckeystown food scene for 17 years, DJ’s is a very welcome addition. The new owner(s) took over a vacant establishment and turned it into what I would classify as second to none café/bistro. Look, there is a plethora of food choices on Rt.85& Rt.355 all of which are serving you the same old frozen, processed or just plain mediocre food. Everyone one of us easily spends between $ 10 – 15 on lunch(admit it) or more. Take the drive 5 minute south on 85 to DJ’s. Aside from their standard fare which is sure to delight even the pickiest of eaters. One can indulge in one of their Daily Specials. Let me start out with what brought us there to begin with.(ok to commence drooling) Chicken and Waffles. Now I know a lot of you are saying or at they very least thinking, «chicken & waffles» really… WOW !! Personally, never had this combo although I have seen it on many menus south on I-95. Whatever these guys do, they do it right. This fried chicken was cooked to perfection and the skin which I usually pass on will be in your all time top three. Guaranteed! Waffles of course made to order and compliment the spectacular fried chicken well. All topped with a sprinkle of powdered sugar. Appetite? Better bring it bc order this and you may skip dinner. Can you say too damn good not to stuff your face? Ok now let’s get some of the other dishes that are certain to keep you coming back. All of which have or will soon pass through these lips. –bacon wrapped meatloaf –prime rib sandwich –fish and chips(pretty standard here nothing over the top) — lasagna with sides I’m sure there are plenty more & not enough space to expand. Find out for yourselves fellow Unilocalers. PS– if you find yourself wondering wether or not to order the crap soup. Do yourself a favor and order two. That way when you get home to rave about it, you can let your audience taste it.

What a hidden gem! Fresh food made to order. I had the broasted chicken. Best fried chicken ever! My husband had a juicy, flame-broiled burger. Definitely worth the 5 minute drive from 270 down Buckeystown Pike! I was excited to see they do delivered and on site caterings for all size events. We can’t wait to come back to try their homeade crab cakes!!!
