Joe and his wonderful little florist shop on the Main Street of Bucksport Maine deserves your business next time you want to say it with flowers. Besides the fact he is a small business trying to make it in a town that just lost its main revenue source, a large paper mill, Daffodills florist runs a business with a lot of heart, community spirit, a fair price and nice flowers.
To illustrate, my mom recently entered the Jed Prouty Assisted Living Home on the other end of Maine street. Last time I visited, I bought a little terrarium from daffodils that they delivered for free bcz it was walking distance from their shop. It cost me half of what I’d pay an Internet FTD florist PLUS. I learned that Daffodils commonly DONATES free flowers to the assisted living center.
But the kicker that made me award them five stars happened over Christmas. I ordered a Christmas wreath, at a modest $ 30 fully decorated price, to be delivered to Mom. The manager of the Jed prouty said it was a fire hazard and couldn’t be put in her room. So Daffodills gave Mom roses to put in her room, no extra charge! I didn’t even ask them to do this. I was so impressed with their generosity.
Good price, community spirit, honest caring service. Don’t bother with their website as it doesn’t work and should be replaced, but call 207 266‑4211. Leave a message if no one is there to answer the phone and your call will be returned,
