I’ll keep it short sweet and to the point: Clean, comfortable dining area(check) Kind people who clearly care about their customers’ experience(check) Well flavored gyros with fixings– tamotos, onions and sauce– that add flavor rather than simply exist… y’all know what I mean.(check) And pita that is oh so good.(check) Add all those checks and you should find a nice place to visit for solid Greek fare.

This is the best Greek food I have found. It doesn’t matter where I try to find the perfect gyro, my quest always leads me back here. This place has been around since I can remember and I know why. The owner is an expert at authentic greek food. The lamb is made right in front of you on a rotating spit and is seasoned to perfection. The tzatziki sauce is my favorite part, I always ask for extra sauce. You will not be dissappointed if you try this place folks. The prices are way more than reasonable. The fries are pretty standard, but thats not why you should go here. Also if you have a sweet tooth try their balaklava! This place is tiny on the inside, but does offer dine in service. Whether you live in Bucyrus and havent been here yet or you are just passing through YOUNEEDTOTRYTHISPLACE!

I love Greek food and I know good Greek food. This is not it. The only two good items here are the gyro meat itself and they do have the best pita bread I’ve ever tried. However, one if the other best parts of a gyro or salad is the tzatziki sauce and this was not good at all. It was a gross looking chunky texture and barely any flavor. The salad had tomatoes that were not ripe and of poor quality and the olives had pits, maybe some don’t mind spitting them out but I hate that! Also, it was below 40 degrees out and I don’t think they had the heat on. There was a fire going but it wasn’t doing much. I was so cold! I don’t recommend it unless you just wang to get the pita bread!!!

I have been visiting this restaurant about once a week or so for the past several months. This is the only Greek place I know of in Bucyrus. I continue to return for the food and service. It is to the point now where the young lady working the register/serving knows what I want and how I want it and I no longer have to order. I enjoy that level of service. The food here is standard Greek fare, with gyros, Greek salads, desserts, etc. The tzatziki sauce is well flavored as are the excellent fresh cut fries. The chicken is very well seasoned and I am tempted to get a chicken salad as opposed to my usual. I usually now get the gyro salad. I can only recall one time where I felt the vegetables were not as fresh as they could be, but every restaurant has a bad day so I do not give any negatives for that. The prices are very reasonable and I believe at lunch you get a free beverage with your sandwich and fries purchase. Seeing how the prices are low as it is, that is a good bargain. Service is consistently quick, personable, and orders are always correct. The dining room is filled with family photos and other scenes from Greece. The room is two levels with a fireplace, small, and cozy. This is not a place for large crowds, but I’m sure they could accommodate if needed. I have never found the restaurant to be dirty, filled with un-cleared tables, or unkempt. Today even, the server offered to clean my usual table for me — again this was a nice touch. With this being the only place of the sort in town, I enjoy that they take the time and provide authentic Greek food. Do not let the location or fact that this place resides in small town USA deter you. You will be disappointed if you miss this gem. Very nice people and very good food. Stop by and visit. Wave to me if you see me in the corner enjoying a gyro salad reading the news on my iPad. I’ll be there next week for sure.

This place is a hidden gem! We discovered it on the way home from Cedar Point. I don’t remember if they had an actual sign or not. I just remember seeing the words Greek food and pastries brightly lit on their window and door. I spontaneously decided to try it and I’m so glad we did! The classic gyro is delicious. The meat is so flavorful and I like that you can taste a bit of gaminess from the lamb mixed in with the beef. Their yogurt sauce is incredible. I’ve never tasted one like it before. It’s a lot thicker in consistency than what I’m used to. The staff are very friendly. The prices are really affordable. They have a lunch special with gyro, fries, and a drink for around $ 5 from 11:30 — 2:30. Be sure to pronounce gyro(yee-roh) correctly and they might be impressed or like the other reviewer said, give you something for free: o I unfortunately mispronounced it so… lol yeah. I hope I will be able to stop by there again! We don’t have this little family owned place in CA ;n;

Little Athens is a gem on the edge of the heart of downtown Bucyrus. They serve a full Greek-style menu, and they cater to your tastes(no tomato!). There is also a nice little dessert section, and the baklava is quite yummy.(I might have tried them a few times in my life.) I decided one Bratwurst Festival to ditch Mo’s Gyro’s stand and walk down to Little Athens, and I’ve been hooked ever since. You can’t even compare them because Little Athens’ gyro is 100x better! And less expensive! I introduced my parents to this lovely establishment’s food, and now they love the gyro’s, too! If you’re not a fan of the traditional gyro meat, they offer chicken, and I believe there is a veggie option. Their french fries are a treat, and they give you a ton for a low price. However, the gyro alone fills one up. I typically don’t expand my horizons when ordering here so I can’t really discuss the depth and breadth of their menu, but I’d have to say that their gyros are fantastic! I really should try other menu items. I suggest calling ahead because they can be quite busy some evenings. I think I will cry if this restaurant ever closes. The original owner’s son is now in charge, and he’s expanding the menu. He’s also allowing plastic so you don’t have to plan ahead and get cash out. Edit: July 2014: Not long ago I read in the newspaper that they have gone for the year having no health code violations! That alone tells you something about a restaurant! I just had a gyro about a week ago… perfect amount of meat and toppings. Two thumbs up.

I LOVE this place. The owner is from Greece and has authentic cucumber sauce and hand made baklava. Very nice place and I’m always 100% happy with what I get. Try a cheese pie, feta cheese in a pastry wrap. So good! If you want authentic Greek gyros this is the place. Once I got a free meal because I pronounced gyro right(it’s yeehro). If your anywhere near bucyrus and want Greek, and I consider a 30 minute drive near, this is the place to go.
