It was a mediocre experience. I got the fried shrimp and oysters, they were good. I ordered water and tea and they both tasted very bad and were extremely murky. The girl I was with got a burger and she thought it was really soggy. Nice atmosphere there.

I am a local that frequents this place quite a bit… Well I used to. Service and quality has begun to slip. This past week was the worst service I have received at any restaurant I’ve ever been to. I don’t know what has changed but it’s something. I’m not saying to not go, I am saying its a coin toss on wether you will get either good food or good service but you won’t likely get both.

Holy crap! The service is 10 out of 10. The environment is 8 of 10. The taste of Cleveland and the pecan tilapia with grits are both 10 of 10. Love this place.

Clevelands is a true gem! Been here twice, both times the service was above par, the food was great, and the drinks were strong! The ambience is nice, too. It’s dark, but well lit in the places that matter. A little noisy, but that’s to be expected in a wide open space with no separating walls. I will continue to come back as long as the food is good!

Cleveland’s has been located here in beautiful Buuu-da for about 3 years now. They are located in a historic building in downtown Buda that provided a nice(if not a bit dark) ambiance with stucco walls, a modestly decorated interior(NOT overdone), old wooden floors, and pressed tin ceiling. The centerpeice of the restaurant was the LARGE, classic-styled oak bar with about 12 seats(and 3 large TVs). The full bar here has Happy Hour until 7PM daily and has a nice craft drink menu in addition to several drafts to choose from. The Mango-Habanero Margarita($ 8) was tasty with a nice mixture of sweet and spicy. My wife was happy with the sangria as her choice. Apps; Oysters Rockafeller($ 11.99) was excellent. The half dozen oysters were LARGE and tasty! Fried calamari was a huge portion and was a good value. It suffered a bit from being over cooked — but the roumalaude sauce(spicy!) was a nice touch. Matt was our server and was very attentive and always topping off your drink and checking on us on a regular basis. I had the Jambalaya($ 9.99) which was a nice portion size. My wife chose the Blacked Shrimp salad — which was fine — but was only accompanied by 4 smallish shrimps. My son(14) had the Fried Shrimp platter($ 15.99) which included fries and a dollop of creamy cole slaw. My daughter(11) enjoyed her Kids Shrimp plate with garlic mashed potatoes. For dessert, we chose and shared the Bread Pudding and the Banana’s Foster. Both were a hit. Bread pudding was infused with brownies and was moist with berries and a bit of crème to boot, The Banana’s Foster was delish and was new to my kids — but was enjoyed by Granny as well. Overall, some hits — some misses — but it was a solid experience bouyied by great service, a pleasant staff, nice facility and good food.

We had lunch at Clevelands and will definitely make the trip from Cedar Park for the lobster bisque! Delicious!!! The service was fantastic and the food was amazing.

Great service/staff. Food was outstanding! In town from California to visit family. My cousin decided to take me to Cleveland’s. So the place is under new management. I met Lindsey who was great. The service was phenomenal. Everyone was very attentive and quick. I can’t say enough about the staff. Super friendly and professional. They even invited me to their new years celebration at the restaurant, but to bad I’ll be back home. The food was great. I had the snapper poncho train. It was outrageous! The lobster bisque was the bomb. Everything looked great. My cousin had the black and blue burger with the hand cut fries. The burger was cooked perfectly. The hand cut fries were like crack. I couldn’t stop stealing them from my cousin. So my cousin tells me the place has been remodeled. I don’t know what it liked like before, but it looks great now. The patio area is super nice. The fire pits are beautiful. The place looks high end. It has a real relaxed and comfortable feel. Price is super reasonable. I was expecting more for a upscale sit down place like this. This will be my go to place when I’m in town again.

Cleveland’s is a great little place to relax and enjoy a sunny afternoon in Buda, TX. Located in the heart of Old Downtown Buda. The restaurant is located in a historic old corner building, the the owners have tastefully preserved and updated. The bar has a great selection of drafts and great Cajun and American classics throughout the menu. Looking for brunch, lunch, dinner, and/or drinks with friends??? They have you covered! Cleveland’s has a great back patio, to enjoy a beautiful day like yesterday in Texas. We met a couple of the owners yesterday, when I went to lunch with my older brother and niece. As we sat, one of the owner came out to check on us, since we were the only patrons that ask to sit outside(really folks? why miss this wonderful weather???). We ended up having a great conversation. She was really sweet and you can tell they truly care about doing it right for their patrons. If you are ever in Buda, stop by and support a local small business, owned by good people!

Yum! Miss Jackie behind the bar served us quickly and well with delightful bites. She was polite and sensitive to my allergies and made sure my order was safe. We left full and happy.

My girlfriend and I went here for lunch the other day, and we’re very disappointed. The waitress was very polite but did not know anything about the food on the menu. She ordered a mineral water and I ordered a ½ dozen oysters on the half shell. When the water arrived it was in a dirty glass and was flat. When my oysters arrived they were dry and smelled like bait swimming in a platter of 6 melted ice cubes. We sent the food and water back, then ordered the fried fish platter. When it arrived it was not crispy and soaked in oil. We sent that back after a few bites and then received the check and asked for the floor manager. Who we got was the chef since the manager was too involved watching the game. The chef stated he was sorry and that he doesn’t even know why they serve the oysters because the quality was so bad. INSHORT… MANAGEMENTNEEDSTOLISTENTOTHECHEFANDGETINVOLVED!!! DONTGO!!!

Went for another lunch, and got the cheese burger. One of the best burgers I’ve had in awhile! I asked for medium, and it was medium but still juicy. The bun and cheese were quality, and the taste was perfect. Some of my fries were a bit over cooked, but still very tasty. I love this place, and will probably branch out from the burger next time. It’s so hard because I love a good burger, and they make ‘em right!

Another update– Today’s lunch was STELLAR. The oyster poboy was fantastic. The oysters were so soft, and the breading was light and not used as a bulk replacement filler. It added to the value of the sandwich. I’m kind of mad that I ate all those fries. Then I licked my fingers. What’s that addictive seasoning? I licked my fingers in public. Gross. I’m sure I’ll do it again. My order was perfectly executed, and I was back to work within the hour. I even got back a few minutes EARLY. On a Friday!

First time trying this place and I ordered the crawfish étouffée. The roux was simultaneously scorched and still tastes of flour. The crawfish tasted like it had turned two days before. The manager came by and removed the étouffée from my bill. They still charged me for my tea. I’ll try it one more time, but so far I’m not impressed.

Hands down one of our favorite places in Buda! Any Cajun dish we’ve ordered has been awesome, as well as the burgers. Bar service easily trumps the local Mexican place on the corner, as drinks are hand-made, and the bar tender will typically use something like a closed of straw to taste it and make sure it’s made right.

Food was great! I and crap cakes and alligator bites. The crab cakes weren’t stuffed with filling. It was mostly crab. The alligator bites were not greasy. They are breaded in corn meal. And if you don’t want the breeding you can slide it right off. The meat was tender and very good. The service was on point; very attentive. Two thumbs up!

I’d have to agree with some of the reviews that talk about being hit or miss between their first and second time there. Except my 2 visits were in the same week. Wanted to gauge them after a second visit before I made my review, so here I am. First visit two days ago, I would have given a 4. They were on point their dishes: gumbo was pretty good and we also had the grilled Cajun shrimp with Cajun fries and slaw, which was really good. Today I would have given a 2 because the shrimp pasta piquant was not very flavorful at all and the great Cajun shrimp dish we had two days ago was a miss with their slaw. The slaw did not have the same amount of sweet sauce(pretty dry) and was old tasting. Got the same desert, the beignets, and for some reason the portion size was a lot smaller than the other day. Still was tasty though, almost like a funnel cake. Service this day was ok; our waiter brought endless refills and was courteous but missed on keeping our table clear of dishes. I went ahead and gave an overall rating of a 3 based on the 2 experiences. I think once they work out the kinks on their consistency, they will be a really strong restaurant. I hope they do, because it is nice having good restaurants in town.

Worst place! First off they took 20 minutes to take our order, waiters kept passing by our table but no one even had the courtesy of saying anything,(have you guys been helped? Nothing…) got coffee and was only filled half way, do I really need that much room for cream? Food came, crab cakes where bad and tasted fishy, hollandaise sauce tasted like lemon juice! They other dishes we got were good but I couldn’t even finish it due to the bad service that just ruined my appetite. You always think these small town restaurants are going to be awesome with great warming service and good food but not Cleveland’s. Definitely skip this place if you’re in the area.

First off, I’m very sad to say that the Quality of Food & Table Service has severely dropped off the deep end!!! I will not be coming here anymore, nor recommending it to anyone. We came in for brunch Saturday morning with some close out of town friends and were deeply DISAPPOINTED! Everything was completely off. Our table service was completely SLOW if not Obsolete, no drink refills, orders were brought out at odd times… meaning ½ table had food and nearly 25 mins later the rest of the food was brought out. No apologies or acknowledgment from the waitress about the inconvenience… oh wait, that’s right she rarely checked on our table throughout the entire meal!!! RIDICULOUS! Unfortunately to top the entire meal, the food was severely Below Par! — Home potatoes & french fries were overcooked and served at room temp if not considered cold(not Hot, not recently prepared). — Muffaletta was served over-toasted w/burnt spots & smothered with bitter tasting olive salad. — The Cleveland was served as soggy mess. Lacked flavor and was in desperate need of seasoning. — Crab meat & Artichoke Omelet… please don’t bother ordering. Served with lots of melted cheese and artichokes, but Where the Heck was the Crab meat?!? Oh that tiny lil pinch… yup we found it! About the size of a Nickel. — Lobster Bisque, the One Saving Grace. It was great but not enough to make up for the rest of the meal. :( Did we mention our complaints/concerns to the waitress? YES, we did. She shrugged her shoulders and said that they were short staffed and that her manager wasn’t there. Obviously this place LACKS good management and is in some Serious Need of Improvement!
