I go here a lot because it is right on my way to work but man, they are S-L-O-W. I know to expect it but still, no excuse. The other day was a 15 minute wait in the drive thru, for a plain old coffee and a pastry… which they didn’t bother to warm up in spite of me asking– it was ice cold, like right out of their fridge or something, so disappointing. But, this morning was the breaking point, I pulled into the drive through at 6:23 and did not pull out with my coffee and breakfast until 6:47. I think my coffee and pastry had been sitting there waiting a while b/c the breakfast had been warmed but was definitely a «had been warmed» temperature and my coffee was lukewarm. That extra 20 minutes I waited in the drive thru translates into an extra 30 – 40 minutes on 35 because the longer you wait during rush hour to head into Austin the worse the traffic, which puts me even further behind. I sometimes have better luck going inside but last time I went inside I literally was forgotten about and it took even longer. I think this place could be outstanding, maybe just more staff or employees taking orders outside on ipads or something to help speed things up… people have to get to work. Also, don’t park in the parking spots where cars line up in the drive thru, you’ll never be able to leave.

We all know all Starbucks are great when it comes to quality. I am basing this review on service. Today was very frustrating waiting 24 mins in drive thru for one latte. I have seen other busy Starbucks be successful with a employee outside with a iPad taking orders to speed up the process. I have a better shot of going into south Austin to a Starbucks with out a drive thru, park, get off, order and still get my drive faster than this drive thru. This isn’t my first experience with waiting times being this long. Please fix it. Your location is in a prime location for people who head into Austin. I hope something gets done soon. Back again here on 10÷23÷15 I can see nothing has changed. 12 min wait in line with only 4 cars in front of me

Do not be tempted to go inside. Yes, the drive through line is long but it moves quick. Went inside today and waited FOREVER. 1 person works the inside while 10 work the drive through. Hate that this location is my closest option.

I don’t know what in the world has happened to this location but 30 minutes in line is unacceptable. Hire more staff? More training? One star because the drinks were good. One star because the drinks were made correctly.

Slowest drive thru in the freakin planet. I stop here on my way to work and they’re always so slow it’s ridiculous. I even found a piece of plastic in one of my drinks.

Horrible drive through service today at 3:25! The guy taking the orders came across frustrated while taking the orders did not like it when asked questions. At the window he was dressed sloppy and chewing gum and saying huh and what! This is not the service that I am use to from Starbuck especially just coming back from Seattle today! They really need to ensure that they have the right people creating and serving the customers!

The baristas at this location are super fast! It is a very clean and organized store. I just wish more of them, were like this one.

By far the slowest Starbucks I have ever been to. I just want to first say that I am a loyal customer of Starbucks. I would go everyday if my bank account would let me lol. I go about 1 – 2 times a week. This Buda Starbucks is the closest to my house. I go before work or before church and every time I go, I am late to my destination. Why? Because the employees are slow! I have been to Starbucks all over such as Austin, San Antonio, San Marcos, Kyle, California and New York. They have all been wonderful and 10X faster than this one. You would think that because buda is a small town, that this Starbucks would be faster. It’s not like you have 10 customers coming in at the same time ever 5 minutes likes New York. Not only have they been slow, but they have very rude employees. I ordered a cookie cluster and the employee gives me a hot mocha or whatever it was. I told her this was not what I ordered. Instead of apologizing and going to make the correct order, she decides to debate with me for 30 seconds. So she went in the back and made a correct drink. No apology or thank you waiting from her because that’s too mainstream. My second incident with them was I ordered the same thing. But when I tasted it, it tasted like watered down milk! Uh I didn’t pay $ 6 for watered down milk! I ended up throwing it away and not saying anything about it. Now earlier today, I ordered a small caramel ribbon frappé. I sat there for 15 minutes. All of a sudden a family of four who had got there after me started getting their drinks. I got up and told the employee who took my order that I had been there for 15 minutes and that those customers had been there after me and already got their drinks. He replied«well they had an easier order than you». Uh what? They ordered a large cookie cluster, large tea, large caramel frappé and a water. You mean to tell me that my small caramel ribbon frappé was a more complex order than theirs? Even if mine was more complex, they shouldn’t skip customers. Whatever happened to first come first serve? Or does that not apply to this Starbucks? I have given this Starbucks many chances in the past and I have swept it under the rug, but I needed to speak up.

To me a Starbucks is a Starbucks. I do not frequent coffee shops often as I am not a coffee drinker. When I do stop in it is usually because I am with a friend, it is convenient or I have a gift card. I stopped in this location due to convenience. I was literally headed to the hotel behind it to meet up with the parents and I needed a snack or something to tie me over till we went to dinner later that night. I ordered a chai tea latte, which was non-coffee and great! I also got the everything cheese bagel toasted and took it back to the hotel. I enjoyed both my chai tea latter and bagel! This bagel has actually turned me on to trying more everything type bagels. Anyway — Starbucks is Starbucks to me and I will probably never be a coffee drinker, but I like that they have some other non-coffee options for me as well. I won’t go out of my way to go here, but if I am in the area this is an A-OK stop.

Drinks are good of course but I’ve been here several times now and haven’t found the staff to be very friendly.

3 baristas working and no one inside. 2 cars in drive thru. Took them 12 min to poor my iced coffee. They had 2 pitchers made. Customer service was great but speed of service was not okay. Quality was delicious as usual. But still won’t recommend this location to anyone.

We stopped here on our way to San Antonio to visit friends. I had low blood sugar and needed a snack. Their payment systems were down so weren’t able to process payment, but the manager got me a snack and then put it on his tab. I’ve always liked Starbucks but this is above and beyond. We did make sure to tip the staff because the manager wouldn’t take a dime for the snack.

This SB is worst, Cashier in drive thru lie to us about giving the stars and a fake smile and even we ask her again about given us 3 stars, she just say she did it and when I check my SB card it’s only 1 grrrrr, never stop there anymore, is not good service to lie the to the costumer, better SB in Kyle and San Marcos and Austin .!

The drive thru is very slow at the Buda location. Where did Kat go!!! :( The last two times I have seen my drink prepared and ready on the counter with no one in sight. They are sure quick to take my money but then they disappear. When the woman working the window walks up again she chooses to chat it up with co-workers instead of handing me my drink so I can leave. This woman(the bald one) works the window a lot and I never see her smile. She has no sense of urgency and I’m not sure why she is even in customer service. It blows my mind! On another visit I had my drink in hand and waited another 2 – 3 minutes for my pastry. The said woman handed me by drink and walked around the corner to get my pastry. 2 – 3 minutes later she appeared. How is it my drink is prepared before by pastry? The only reason I keep coming to this location is because it has a drive-thru and it is on my way to work. I don’t visit this location as much as I used to and would rather visit the McDonald’s next door for a crappy cup of coffee and stale breakfast sandwich. Sad!

This starbucks is the worst! It’s unfortunate they are the only one in the area with a drive thru. They are always slow, constantly out of ingredients for drinks and forget items I request as part of my order. I moved from lakeway where the starbucks was always fast and made my drinks perfect. Here they have several employees walking around while one person takes orders and makes drinks. I recently visited and waited 12 minutes for a drink in the drive Thu and they forgot my pelligrino AND swiped my card THEN told me they were out of croissants. Worst starbucks I’ve been to and I’m a frequent starbucks customer. I now go to the one closer to work on 15th street. Much better.

This Starbucks has actually improved quite a bit. A year ago they were super slow and I found it insanely frustrating. Lately, they have been consistently quicker and I have been very pleased with the service. Beware of parking, though. Cars lining up for the drive thru don’t care if they are blocking you in… even if they see you get in your car, they don’t really make an effort to move unless it means getting closer to that speaker to order. This is probably the worst drive-thru/parking lot layout I’ve ever seen.

Definitely more speedy and clean than any other in the area. We ordered few things even with a long line and had our order in a flatter of seconds!

I’ll be the first to admit that I am a chain restaurant snob, in that I always will prefer to shop local. Starbucks is no exception. UNLESS it’s 6am and I’m on my way to work and I woke up too late to make my own coffee at home AND there’s nothing else open AND Starbucks is at a convenient location for people who commute to Austin. Unfortunately for me, this situation is all too common. And, instead of waking up earlier or investing in a new alarm clock, I am perfectly happy to swing by this Starbucks location. I don’t always prefer the taste of the coffee, but I DO really appreciate the customer service. For a chain restaurant, at 6am, these people are top notch. Bright eyed, bushy tailed, enthusiastic… all the things that I am not at that hour. The manager seems to really solidify the team by expressing her excitement to be working with her employees every morning. And I have witnessed, on many occasions, their willingness to go above and beyond to make sure every customer is satisfied. I really never thought I would say that about any chain… but there ya go.

I went a bunch of times during that half-price frappuccino deal Starbucks was running back in May. Venti coffee frapp with a shot. $ 2.50! Pow! I think there could be 4 Starbucks for every 1 McDonalds in the world if they’d cut their prices in half. And then they’d go out of business, because despite an initial ginormous increase in sales and profits, people would be over it. Because what Americans love about Starbucks is overpaying, and walking around everywhere with that little cup.

Jennifer was a rock star with us today! So S-bucks has a new«Refreshers» iced drink which is a via drink in either Cool Lime or Very Berry Hibiscus. These are naturally sweetened instant beverage packets with real fruit and green coffee extract. I had already tried the berry one earlier today in North Austin… I live South and had not gotten to try the cool lime type… Jennifer was AWESOME enough to make both my husband and I small cool lime ones because she said she liked my enthusiasm about them… she was beyond great! We did not expect her to go out of her way like that!!! We ended up buying the lime ones… you simply put them into 16 ounces of cold, icy water and voila! Delicious! We were even told that the lime could be mixed with a nice lemonade, too… that would be summer heaven right there, too… but it is pretty good solo… Jennifer even let me in on something… this Friday during lunch hours, ALL locations will be giving out FREE tall Refresher drinks! You must try this if you have not… it is truly refreshing!!! THANKYOU, JENNIFER, for the unexpected lime revival!
