The store around the corner from Mother Hubbards is refered to as the Man Cave (Men’s cothes, etc,) and the other store has the Ladies clothes, etc.

The Lutheran Home Thrift Shop was a fun place to bargain hunt, but it’s being sold. From what I hear the Buellton Senior Thrift Shop is buying the property. They are going to use this building to store furniture donations. Sounds like a good idea.
The Lutheran Home shop is a bit of local history. This building is the original location of the Pea Soup Anderson kitchen. Look up at the ceiling and you can see the air ducts and fan system still in place. They would make soup and push it across the street to the restaurant. Yes, it’s true.
