Buena Park Smog Test Only Center

The hours posted on the door says they open at 9 am on saturdays. I waited till about 945 am. It cost me 50 bucks for smog when I was previously charged 40 there. It was quick and the guy was nice but still. If you say youre open at 9 open at nine and not 9 45.

Toyota Tundra pickup truck. I was in and out in 15 minutes. I was quoted $ 40 out the door on the phone, no extra charge for trucks. Prompt service so I didn’t even have time to get comfortable in the waiting area. I would definitely return. Most shops in the area want to charge $ 48 and up for the same service.

Ah, the dreaded smog check. My registration indicated that I needed to go to a Test Only facility, and this was the closest. I called before I headed over and said he wasn’t busy. He also quoted me $ 40 over the phone. Once I got there, he said, «Are you the one that called earlier?» When I confirmed, he said he would give me the smog check for $ 40, even though it was listed at $ 49.95 on the board behind him. I’ll take it.
He wasn’t particularly friendly, but he did the job quickly and smoothly. He muttered, «Yup, it’s good,» once he was finished, and went about his way sending the documents to the DMV.
Quick, easy, painless… my kind of place. Car stuff is not my forte.

I failed my EVAP test two years ago and got it fixed by Fred at Hi Tech Automotive. I had to get another smog test this year so I went to the Buena Park Smog Test Only Center and he said I failed the EVAP test. So I take my car back to Fred and the car passes once and he redoes the test and it passes again. So I took the car back to the Buena Park place and what do you know, it now magically passes.
Obviously this guy is trying to rip people off or perhaps just me. Do not go here. Go to Hi Tech Automotive on Katella and Crescent.

Called all the smog places on Unilocal near my house, and this one gave me the 2^nd lowest price, 45 including all fees and tax, the fullerton smog gave me 39.99, but they were 5 miles, and this was 1. The prices were higher on the wall, but he stuck by his phone quote. There was someone in front of me, and his car obviously was not in the best shape, and the guy includes a free pretest. After the guy finished the guy before me, He got to mine, took a look under the hood, said «you take a real good care of your car!» Put it on the machine, and 10 minutes later, passed. I was there 25 minutes, and paid flat 45 cash. Easiest smog check experience i’ve had. (out of 6) Would recommend to anyone just for the timing and price.

I had to get a smog check done pronto at a Test-​Only station. Since they were just going to be running a test, I figured the cheapest place would do, so I called around to places in the BP area. I was quoted $ 40 over the phone once I told him the car type. When we got there, the prices posted on the wall were higher, but, no fear, he still charged us the quoted price. Got done in 15 minutes after passing with flying colors!
Warning: it was a little difficult to find it, because the road forks a bit right before the auto center.
