I’ve been a faithful follower the famous «Ms. Cookie» for 17 years. She is a hair magician with my cuts and color. I always look forward to a trip to her place for some pampering and fun conversation in the shop. Where would I be without ya!

Cookie just did my hair for my wedding that’s coming up this weekend. She got the color perfect!

Came back to cut my hair again ’cause the recent heat wave was making me really want to just chop my hair off for summer. I called to make an appointment for Wednesday at 1pm — showed up on Wednesday and waited 10 – 15 minutes before finally calling her and she had forgotten –_​_​_​_​– So we rescheduled for the next day at 11am. Showed up at 11, called her immediately and she said she was just around the corner (seemed like she didn’t remember what time the appointment was though…) and she showed up between 10 – 15 minutes later. Then, during the hair cut, she answered a phone call and started cutting my hair with 1 hand while talking on the phone. SERIOUSLY?! I was super annoyed by this point, but by the end of the haircut, I was happy with how my hair looked and she only charged me $ 20 for the cut and wouldn’t accept any tip. So… I mean you can’t really beat $ 20 for a more than decent hair cut… I think I will still try to find another place for my next hair cut, but I’m sure I’ll be a little tempted to come back anyway. If I weren’t a broke grad student, I know I would go elsewhere but for now I may need to compromise.
1 – 2 stars for professionalism, 3 stars for the actual hair cut.
UPDATE: It’s been a couple weeks since the hair cut, and I’ve gotten to see my hair in different styles– the soft A line «lob» I was going for only looks decent when it’s curled/​waved. When I wear it straight, it’s very noticeable how blunt the cut is. The transition in length through the back and front isn’t smooth. I’ve never gotten an A line cut before, but I’m pretty sure it’s not supposed to look so awkward. I would recommend Cookie for a basic cut and style (keep in mind the comments about punctuality above and in my last review though) but go somewhere else if you’re looking for something fancier /​trendier.

Really late review, but I have been going with cookie about a year now she leaves my hair looking beautiful all the time! Defenilty my go to place.

Cookie has plenty experience and knows exactly what she is doing. From cuts, to color, to extensions. She’s awesome :) she’s not only an awesome stylist but she’s an awesome person with a great personality. I love the talks we have while I get my hair done. Be prepared to laugh!
Jennifer, who also does hair there with cookie, is just as great! So nice and caring. She does amazing highlights and men’s hair cuts. And also blow outs!
They are an amazing team, neither of then will let you down.
