I usually tend to go here for donuts due to the quality and taste of the donuts. But, there is a downside to going here. I personally do not enjoy the environment because there are usually homeless outside and gives a negative atmosphere to the total shop. There have been instances in which where there are people that make the shop seem as a negative place to be in or eat it especially. Overall for quality donuts go here but if you want to eat there I wouldn’t recommend it very negative atmosphere and environment.

Given this place 2 tries. Both times service was poor and quality is just a bad. Not worth it and I’d go elsewhere even if it’s a little out of the way.

I’m putting the rating as a 4 because I thought the donuts and iced coffee were around a 5 but my BF rated his donut at a 3.
PROS– we bought our donuts (2 glaze, chocolate sprinkle, 2 regular sprinkle, and an orange) around 1 am and went to sleep then ate them the next day and they actually didn’t taste stale at all which is nice, the lady gave us a free chocolate donut, the drinks are a pretty big size but it was only 2 $ which I couldn’t believe. In fact, it’s cheap in general, especially compared to the famous California Donuts not too far from here. And try their orange donuts, they’re a very different interesting taste.
CONS– cash only, tiny parking lot, my BF thought his donuts were stale the next morning (so I guess they’re a hit or miss with the staleness factor), the iced coffee came pre sweetened which I really wish I it wasn’t because it was a little too sweet but it was good. The bag was so oily from the donuts that the bag almost rips which wouldn’t be good if you’re walking with them in your hand.

First thing I want to mention is, EXCELLENT customer service by the young gentleman working behind the counter!
I ordered a plethora of classic donuts including buttermilk, cake, bars, and twists. All of them tasted fresh and satisfied my craving for carbs. (Yes, I took a little bit of each.)
I would give them five stars except for the banana nut muffin. It was moist and almost had a dry spongy quality but didn’t taste like banana. It was more like butter muffin with walnuts on top.
Also, because of construction it might be difficult to drive out of the donut shop during peak traffic hours.

The donuts were fresh and tasty. Granted it was 7:20am. We had a sugar donut, maple twist and chocolate twist and all 3 were warm and soft. Parking is really limited but definitely worth it

The ham and cheese croissant was pretty gross but the doughnuts here are bomb!!! The lady work in was sweet but quite also they only except cash!

They only accept cash. boo! I came during the end of the day and their donuts did not seem appetizing at all. I understand it was later in the day, but their donuts didn’t seem fresh for a store that is supposed to stay open late. I came because I had to buy a few donuts. Since I only had $ 3 cash I could only get 4 donuts. Donuts were nothing extraordinary. I’ve definitely had better.

I come here to get last minute treats for the coworkers. The place would be great if it wasn’t for the annoying other regulars that come here and how they always double parked in the parking lot and you can’t get out.

The best traditional doughnuts. Really good prices. Also they have Vietnamese style sandwiches — a large selection. Really tasty and you can’t beat the price.

We were looking for a quick place to grab breakfast before a long day at the theme parks.
Donut Express didn’t disappoint! With a bakery case filled with freshly baked donuts, additional options for breakfast sandwiches and croissant-​wiches — we decided this was the place.
I ordered a ham, cheese and jalapeño filled croissant (all these yummy ingredients had been baked inside) and it was warm, crisp, and layered. I was well satiated and pleased.
My boyfriend ordered another croissant sandwich and he was happy as well.

I am surprised that this place doesn’t have more reviews because the value you get with their sandwich deal is fantastic.
$ 2.99 for a great sandwich and a soda. Done.

I know this place serves more than donuts, but I’ve only ever tried the yummy fried confections. When I’m craving donuts from a generic, whole-​in-​the-​wall, pink-​box, non-​chain-​donut-​shop, I go to this place, because it seems they’re always open! Yummy, fluffy donuts with a hint of crispness and generously iced. Nicely priced and good variety available.
The donuts here are good enough that I will come at night (when my cravings usually strike), and overlook the fact that there are shady-​looking homeless people outside, and the benches in front smell like urine. I hope I haven’t killed your appetite– I just wanted to stress how good, and well-​worth the donuts are. ;)

I love donut express Its my favorite Donut shop They actually made a special donut for my gf on valentines day. And wanted to Under charge me I gave them probably more than I should have but none the less my gf loved her Donut. I use to go Everyday, their ham and cheese croissant is amazing I ask them to warm it up.

4.5 stars.
Their donuts are good, but the sandwiches are even better.
$ 2.99 for a good sized sandwich which ranges from turkey to pastrami and a regular drink.
$ 1 to upgrade the drink size to a LARGE.
This is a perfect meal if you’re on the go, don’t want anything too heavy and want to spend under $ 3. No tax also!
I got the roast beef and it had the standard vegetables with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, and mayonnaise. It won’t be the best quality sandwich, but as long as the lettuce isn’t brown and soggy and the meat is tough and get in between my teeth, that’s good enough for me for the price I’m paying!
The look of the place might turn you away because they don’t maintain the exterior tables or windows, but the Vietnamese employees are friendly and understand what you want.
I’ll be coming here more often.

So here’s the Situation:
Everytime I get stressed out from a deadline, I get really bad cravings. It was donuts this time. theres nothing like having a _​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​_​that really hits the spot (fill in the blank with your fave food). Its always scary when youre far away from your go-​to place and have to try a new one as a substitute. You never know if you’ll encounter the __________’s (insert fave food again) evil twin from hell version that wreaks havoc on your stomach, time (like getting stuck in a drive thru) or wallet (too expensive or cash only).
THANK HEAVEN Donuts Express came through!!! Open 24 hours too. I got a sugar, a choc and she gave me two free glazed holes for free. Gotta admit, the area isnt the best, so just get in, order and get out. The donuts were soft, fluffy and yummy!
Donuts express, just what the doctor ordered.
I didnt really take a good look around, but noticed, jsut as I was leaving, there are fresh boiled eggs on the counter for sale… interesting.
one more note, the donuts had a hint, just a tiny hint of coconut essence to them. Im sure those who cant tell the difference between a bad donut and good one wouldnt know, but for the discerning one, it is defnitely there!

I’ve been here a bunch more times since my original review while buying donuts for the masses at work. This place has a better variety of donuts than most places in the area. Parking can be a (minor) pain in the morning when it’s crowded.

not the cleanest looking or most modern looking place, but the donuts are always good here and the ladies are pleasant
they also do sandwiches which i like, $ 2.99 for a sub sandwich and a drink is pretty good value
only downside is they often run out of donuts later in the evening, but i guess donuts should be a morning thing anyway

I stopped here out of sheer desperation when I had a donut craving. Don’t let the appearance turn you off ! Yeah, it may not be the cleanest place in the world (I checked the health inspection… probably a mistake!), and you may not like the looks of the guy that always hangs out at the tables outside. Also, the basket of hard boiled eggs that is always sitting on the counter scares the hell out of me, but THE DONUTS!!! They are worth all of it.
