IHOP

The food is just not good. The portions are small and the flavor of the food is just not tasty. I get better breakfasts at a corner hamburger stand. The prices are high. Ive tried a few different ihops and its the same at every ihop. Im always still hungry when I leave. For the price the food should be at least good.

Probably the worst IHOP I’ve ever eaten at. Most of the staff was sitting in a booth by the bathrooms. We had to flag them down to get help. Food was ok. Orders were wrong. Took my grand daughter to the bathroom and a homeless person was bathing in the ladies so I took her into the men’s, it is only one stall. The cook had just left the bathroom, and there was blood all over the floor, toilet and sink. A lot of blood, like someone needed stitches. He had just cooked our food. He didn’t say anything to the 4 young kids sitting in the front of the restaurant. Instead he let a 5 year old child walk in on an apparent murder scene. Be careful when eating here. It’s nice because it’s so close to Knotts berry farm but the staff takes no pride in their work.

Came here for breakfast last week. Food was Ok, but not great. Went to pay and their electronic system was down, so not only us, but other customers paying with a debit card,
had to go to a ATM to get cash to pay them. We were here another time, and their coffee machine was down. After the inconvenience, all we were given was an apology. They could have least given us a comp on 1 of the meals or a future meal. We will take our business elsewhere from now on.

The place was packed, which I guess is to be expected when it’s across the street from an amusement park.
Once we were seated we were immediately asked not only for our drink order but for our food order as well. We explained that we had JUST sat down and would like a few minutes to go over our menu. They went to get our drinks in the meantime but forgot to bring my daughter’s drink. They came back for our food order a few minutes later, then sometime after that they brought our food. They got my order wrong so I asked them to fix it. They also had still yet to bring my daughter’s drink so I asked them where that was as well.
The food was OK. Typical IHOP food. Nothing special.
Not too sure what the deal was on this day and why all the forgetfulness and wrong order… our server was actually the manager (black slacks, black dress shirt, tie, etc.) so I would have expected better service from him.

If you like IHOP you won’t be disappointed. It is small but that’s what makes this one unique. Perfect distance to Knott’s berry farm. We will come back to this one for breakfast every time we are in Buena Park!

My first time coming here & definitely my last… Awful customer service… I asked Jesus one of the waiters for a side of whip cream and he just said, «mmhmm» & never came back… He needs to get fired!!! Robert was our waiter, he at least apologized for Jesus’s rude and careless manner… We did ask to speak to a manager, but we were told there wasn’t one around… Ramon was really sorry and took care of us like a manager in a very professional way… He definitely needs a promotion… I didn’t even enjoy my meal. This location needs better management.

We had breakfast here on our way to disneyland. The parking lot is very small (only about 10 cars can park). We were lucky enough to find 2 spots for our cars when we got there.
The restaurant itself is very small too. We were a party of 8 and our party was split in 2 booths side by side. once again, we were lucky enough (i guess because it was my bday that day, haha) to get there early enough before the lines got really big (when we left, there were already about 20ppl waiting to be seated).
The food is aight. Nothing special. Ordinary ihop taste lol. I had eggs benedict, it was ok.
While eating, one of my friends secretly asked the server for a special cake for me. But they didnt have a cake. So after we finished eating and just waiting for the bill, she brought ice cream topped with whipped cream, and she sang happy bday along with my friends. Appreciate the effort!
The stars are mainly for the experience and service. I just wish the place is a little bigger and has larger tables to accomodate big parties like us.

I’m not sure why this place has a low rating but our breakfast experience was good. I had tri tip combo, meat were tender, onions were cooked just right, my over medium eggs were perfect. I don’t eat hash browns but they look good! The place was busy but we were served immediately.
My husband & I will definitely come back.

I really don’t like writing negative reviews but some places really deserve them.
THE FOOD HERE IS DISGUSTING!
I took my parents to this IHOP for breakfast and WE very surprised that this particular location was so awful.
The eggs looked like they came from a powder mix, texture was gross and taste was even worse. Presentation was a joke. They have a new french toast on the menu which I ordered and I almost puked, it was smothered in butter which was either rancid or just plain old, I took one bite and left the rest. There was really no point in saying anything other then just leaving my food practically untouched.
My parents love IHOP so was very surprised that this particular location was so awful. The thought of going here again turns my stomach. JUST PLAIN GROSS!

To the customer who commented on the vent: Thank you for your concern and comment. We take our customer service serious and especially the environment in which we serve our customers. We took action, cleaned and fixed the vent. As far as our servers go, we make sure our number one goal is customer satisfaction. We apologize for the service you received. Because this restaurant is very small, it seems very crowded at all times, but our servers do their best to accommodate the customers. Thank you.

Starting off terrible. Two person party who arrived after me called first and sat at a 4 person table, finally get called, staff was rushing around without any regard to customers, waitress came, first words «are you ready» gave the order and waitress leaves without saying a word. Staff is rude, small, loud and dirty. Congealed ketchup on the window of our booth picture coming next. I will NEVER be back. I would leave now but my children are hungry.

I am not going to say that the food isn’t good. However, for what we ordered (pancakes, French toast, turkey bacon, etc) they came at a very high cost. Four blueberry pancakes cost almost $ 10.00. Our five pieces of turkey bacon were nearly $ 5.50. Plus, two pieces of French toast reached nearly $ 6.00. This totaled (along with sales tax) a little over $ 23.00 making it a very expensive breakfast for two customers.
If you were to prepare these at home, it would probably cost you far less than $ 10.00 (plus, having cups of coffee that we didn’t order). If we would have brought our two children, the breakfast would have been in the $ 50.00 range. Sorry, too much cost for too little food.
With the price and the quality of IHOP, I will hop to a different breakfast place!

So, I had previously swore off of ever eating at IHOP again after one of the most terrible breakfasts ever at the Disneyland IHOP (the one on Harbor blvd)…anyways, this is right around the corner from my University and we had a group of 10 and peeps wanted to go here so I swallowed my foodie pride and said okay. but I was super apprehensive as this is right across street from Knotts Berry farm so I was like «dear god here we again…»
But…
Food was good@! Got a real healthy mode omelette with spinach and avocado and tomatoes and it was done really well. Was totally happy with it and the size was nice and big also. Was also super happy with our waiter… he offered to split the checks (and I know how much of a pain-​in-​the-​ass that is so kudos to him)…he added in a 15% tip… which I am cool with… plus gave him some more ones on the side cuz c’mon people its breakfast… you are supposed to tip more for breakfast…
They accommodated our large group and service was quick and professional. Would come back here again fo sho…

Very bad service nobody was welcoming as I walked in with my husband. Hostess was rude and didn’t even bother asking for my name and number in my party! Took 20 minutes for a waiter to even come and offer drinks!!! Never coming back here!!!

A smaller location located near Knotts Berry Farm. I came here on a weekday morning around 7am and it was empty! We were greeted and seated right away and were provided with great customer service throughout our time. The only con I have is that we were served cold food, which was disappointing considering how great the customer service was.

Their cooks have to have better training in food preparation. I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this location again. I ordered hard boiled eggs and it was grey throughout. My waiter was absent throughout my service and I refused to eat it. My daughter who is 2 ½ wanted to sit with me but couldn’t because I was in one of those single seaters. The waiter should realize that you shouldn’t separate kids and their parents (kids are going to try to be near their parent!) I had like 4 large plates and not once did they acknowledge they should maybe pick up the empty plates cuz I have a small table. Once I was getting up, the waiter hands me my check like I’m going to skip out on the bill!!! I asked for my box and pointed out to him that my eggs were waaaaaay too over cooked and that no one can even eat that. He just apologize and said do you want something else? Well, how about actually asking how was my food in the first place when I was still eating and since I’m finish I’m not going to wait again. So, no… I’m good I just want to pay the bill.
I get that you have a lot of foreigners coming to this location but where’s the quality in breakfast? Oh well. Mom and pop store it is.

I have no idea why this place has such low reviews (probably tourists). I read them and yeah of course you are gonna get up charged for an upgrade specially in a tourist trap, duh common sense.
We went on a busy Saturday morning. The parking is small but we found a spot :-)
The building is small but that makes it quaint.
We had to wait about 10 minutes for a table (no biggie specially on a weekend). Unfortunately we got sat by a group that took up two tables; adults at one annoying children at the other. That’s not the restaurants fault, well the annoying children part.
I had country fried steak and it was awesome!!! I forget what my friend had (it was almost a week ago) I remember it came with pancakes. My friend said it was awesome as well.
Unfortunately the annoying children decided to stand in the very narrow walk way and trip up the waiters (and manager) a few times.
Other then the annoying children it was great and since the restaurant doesn’t control their patrons behavior I gave them 5 stars.

Don’t know why this IHOP is rated so low. The service is amazing kind and responsive. The only downside is the size. It’s tiny but quaint. I’ve been to this store 5 times. Every time is the same.
Our waiter, Jose, was very busy, but still managed to keep our drinks and all-​you-​can-​eat pancakes replenished.

First off, it’s IHOP so it’s nothing really spectacular. It’s just a go-​to breakfast spot when you want convenience.
I really dislike the layout of the restaurant. It’s cramped and the parking is terrible, especially when it’s busy. I find it off putting how the server’s station is right in the view of the public. You can observe them prepping and adding touches to the cooked dishes and it becomes a hassle when you walk through the restaurant. You never know if a server might run into you because, like I said before, it’s cramped and the walking space is so limited. The restrooms are located in an inconvenient spot as well. They’re tucked away in the back corner by a set of booths. If you’re waiting to use the restroom, you find yourself waiting in such an awkward position because people sitting in those booths are in clear view of you.
The food is generic. Like I said, it’s IHOP so don’t expect anything fancy or over the top. I admit, however, that some of their items are good. For example, the omelets, which are huge and let’s not forget the pancakes! They also have many specials so you can enjoy a good-​sized meal for relatively cheap. I do enjoy their special pancakes too whenever they have seasonal promotions, such as the pumpkin and carrot!
The staff is always very friendly and attentive. They’re always so friendly and make my family and I feel welcomed.
I would recommend coming here just for convenience and a cheap meal… and maybe the pancakes. You can never go wrong with their multiple selections of syrups!

We’ve been to this IHOP twice, and both times the food was good, the service attentive, the restaurant was clean. Well, I only go there for eggs, bacon and maybe waffles or pancakes. What could go wrong.
Today the coffee was hot and flavorful.
My eggs scrambled to perfection, bacon crispy.
Two pancakes light, fluffy and scrumptious topped with dollops of boysenberry syrup.
The building is tiny, like an old-​time diner. I like that.
The parking lot is small, but if you drive around back there’s an opening to a much larger parking lot next door.
As we were leaving a family of 10 entered. Kids all bathed, brushed, and ready for a full day at Knott’s Berry Farm located right across the street. That’s what I love about eating in this area: the vacation atmosphere.
