I decided to get my eyebrows done here after a friend recommended this place to me however it was the worst eyebrow threading I had ever experienced. My eyebrows were left thin and uneven and were very rushed. The lady working there was very rude and I will never come here again.

I have been here about 5 times. It is right down the street from my house and it’s very cheap. I tried to like it! Every single time I had to tell them they missed spots when the handed me the mirror. Also they ALWAYS got the lotion IN my mouth when they were applying it to my face. Then I always walk out with bits of wax all over my skin. The two ladies chat with each other the whole time and make you feel like you are interrupting their quality time. If the lady would focus on what she was doing, she would be able to do a thorough and careful job.

Horrible service. I didn’t want to give them tip and it was obvious the lady was trash talking me with her conworker for not giving enough tip. From the start very rude. I will be going back to my usual place which is a few blocks down near valley view st and la Palma. Ugh wasted time and money here

This has to be the worst place to get your brows threaded! The whole time she was talking to her co worker and not paying attention to what she was doing and she cut me! On top of that she was being so rude. After I paid I didn’t even want to tip, but I still did. Rude and they don’t pay attention!!! Oh and did I mention that she blamed my hairs for being so thin instead of apologizing!

0 stars if I could! The older lady who did my eyebrows today was so rude! I wanted to like this place because it is conveniently located next to my house, however I will be going back to my usual place. Not only was the lady rude, she was talking to her (younger) coworker the whole time she was doing my brows! Not to mention, it hurt so bad! It felt like she was taking sandpaper to my skin! I had to go home and fix my eyebrows and pluck them myself because she barely cleaned me up…
I won’t be back.

Upon sitting, I wasn’t asked about my preferences (i.e., I did not want them to thin my eyebrows at all, just wanted it cleaned up). Instead, I lost the little hair/​eyebrows I did have-​I have sparse brows and have a difficult time growing them out.
Also, I thought I had done something wrong to the lady working. Almost immediately, she began to TOWN with such fervor, even to break the thread from pushing/​pulling extremely hard. As a few tears rolled down my eyes, all I could think was «WHAT DID I DO TO DESERVE THIS?!» There were also a few stray hairs that she did not clean up at all. I was disappointed at this, however, more concerned about the fact that I was now eyebrow-​less.
My friend’s eyebrows came out looking a bit uneven, and upon bringing this to the attention to the older lady that worked there, my friend was met with a distasteful response. The lady rejected her request to thin out the other brow. Her response? «That’s because your hair looks darker on the other side.» I think you should just fulfill the customer’s request instead of trying to fight them on this. Extremely rude and unprofessional.
Suffice to say, I will not be coming back. I miss my brows, man.

At first I didn’t like Maya, but I’ve gone there twice now and it’s growing on me. Do know that their threading is on the thinner side, but that’s where a pencil comes in handy. I like that they make your brow lines very clean and well-​defined. They have a stamp card so take advantage!

This is my go to place for brows! They do a really good job for $ 6, and that’s all I really need. Yes, the ladies are not super chatty or smiley, but I’m only in there for 10 minutes so I don’t see the big deal. For $ 6, I don’t have such high expectations anyway in terms of luxury treatment.

This was the worst experience I have ever had while getting my eyebrows done. These ladies are so extremely rude. The lady who was doing my eyebrows never once said hello all she said was sit and the whole time she was doing my eye brows she was talking to her friend in a language I did not understand. also my eyebrows are very uneven and thick I asked her at the end when she was finishes if she could cut them a little more but she said that they were fine and had me get off the chair. The owner needs to fire these ladies because they are so extremely rude soon you will have no customers.

Worst customer service ever. I understand unfriendly people but they top the list. I’m pretty easily pleased yet they can’t even reach bare minimum. I guess they can do their job but always talking crap about customers and their job. I think they don’t think I understand them but I do. They want breaks more but in reality this is the chillest job ever and so relaxing. They’re such complainers and they give you these looks like they’re doing you a favor. Today as I got it done I was really annoyed by their behavior because I’ve been here a couple times yet they are always rude so I decided not leave a tip and as I looked back at them they both gave me a look of disgust. It was so rude!!! I only come here because it’s the nearest thing at walking distance, if you drive please don’t come to these 2 ladies.
Maya or whoever the owner is needs to fire these people so they learn to appreciate they’re job. They are always complaining. Please.

If you have other places to go, then don’t come here. It really feels like they want to rush to collect your money in as less time as possible. They don’t bother to ask you what you want. I will not come again.

I go to this place every time I get my eyebrows done. It’s close by and whenever I go there isn’t much of a wait. The two ladies aren’t very friendly, but they do a good job. I usually get the younger of the two. Some days it hurts more than usual, and I get cut. Also, I don’t like how I have to ask for cooling gel myself instead of them offering it. I do enjoy the stamp card though!

I’ve been coming here for a while now since it’s so close to my house. Maya definitely has good threaders. My eyebrows turn out nice most of the time.
But the service is killing me. They are so unfriendly! I always come back hoping they’ll be nicer but am always disappointed. And the older lady is so rough. It feels like it hurts more every time I come back.

Honestly they’re nice people and I went 30 min after they opened and I received good service for the eyebrow threading. Only $ 6 :)

I’ve been coming to this place for over a year.
It’s in a strip mall next to Panda Express, which is the only reason I came here originally.
The 2 women that work here never smile and they always talk shit about you the whole time they are threading your face. Kind of like when you are at the nail shop getting your mani/​pedi.
I always go to the older of the two women. She is a bit rough and usually breaks her string once or twice. And sometimes she burps or a little spit lands on my face while she’s standing over me taking to her coworker.
They spend all day together, I wonder why she has to talk to her while she’s in such close proximity to my face. I mean, can’t you wait until I get out of the chair to talk shit about the pimple on my forehead?
It’s $ 6 and I always give her a $ 4 tip.
Today is the last time I will go there!
My eyebrows look like Drew Barrymore circa 1998! They are SO thin! I spent the last month looking like Wolfman Jack trying to grow my eyebrows out thicker and now I look permanently surprised. And they aren’t even. One is thinner than the other.
I’m so bummed. I was one stamp away from a free threading.

It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t great. Their hours are convenient but they only have two people working during the week after 5p. So the wait was a little long. Once one of the ladies was ready, the experience was satisfactory.
My eyebrows looked much better than before, but it still wasnt the best job I’d seen done. I think I’ll continue to go back just to see if the quality of work improves or stays consistent.
Oh and price was very reasonable. It was $ 6 for eyebrows only.

Great price and clean. She wasn’t very friendly, but that just might be the culture. My eyebrows aren’t the same shape either. I wish she was more thoughtful.
