After reading all the reviews finally tired this place out. Honestly… it’s whatever’s. I ordered yangjangpee, kungpao chicken, sweet and sour pork, and jjajangmyun. The yangjangpee was mostly imitation crab and there was so much water at the bottom of the dish that there was no flavor on the actual food. Kung Pao chicken was gross, you can tell all they did was add the red chili sauce and nothing else. Jjajangmyun sauce was alright but only came with 8 small pieces of onions, there was no squash and no meat at all. Sweet and sour pork was the only decent thing out of my order. Also, I asked for an extra rice and the lady said I’d have to pay $ 1, which was fine, but when I agreed to pay she apologized and said she couldn’t sell me one because they didn’t have enough! It was 630pm… c’mon how do you run out of rice! I won’t be coming back here, I’d rather go across the street or just anywhere else.

Because why go to an American mall to eat their food court when you can go to a Korean supermarket and eat Korean food court food! I love their food options because you can order half and half of pretty much everything. They did seem a little bit short staffed but we finally got our food. I got the(jjamppong) with(mandu or dumplings), and the boyfriend got(jajangmyeon) with(tangsuyuk or sweet and sour pork). It wasn’t super cheap but it was less than $ 10USD a person so can’t complain! I really actually liked my food here. The jjamppong was on point, though maybe in retrospect it had a lot of MSG in it. It tasted like yummy chicken broth to me. The mandu was really the star though, it had a much thicker skin which kept it really crispy throughout my whole meal. And I was actually happy to get Chinese dumplings for once — not so many extra added veggies like in Korean versions. Yay! Finished with Chinese kimchi and 沢庵(takuan or yellow pickled daikon radish). This would definitely be a repeat pick for me.

This isn’t so much of a review for this restaurant as it is for the food court dining area for this restaurant. It sucks. Sort of confusing. For some reason, they let all of the used trays with left over food stack up on each table. I’ve been here 3 times and each time it’s the same. There is no place to bus your own table, and they don’t have any workers that pick up the used trays. So everybody just eats among the filth of used food, bowls, trays, and other leftovers. This most recent time was so crowded and sort of disgusting, so I asked for my food to go. So I would refer this place if you get your food to go, but not sit and eat unless you like eating next to stacks of used plates and left over food.

Ever since chomanwon closed down i only come here to quell my korean style chinese craving. This place is at the foodcourt inside the han nam chain korean market so it is not a sit down restaurant but their tang soo yook taste cannot be beaten by any other in the hood. Screw hong kong ban jum. I support this non-corporate, yummy local business.

Sunday morning hang over cure institution. Best refried jjajang(w crisp pork bits thrown in for good measure) in the o.c. Once you have orange chicken here you won’t be able to go back to panda. Of all the Chinese joints I’ve been to in my life this place is arguably the tastiest. Understated & underrated, Excellent Chinese.

MYFAVORITEEEEE!!! The only thing better to this is Peking Gourmet in garden grove but for food court 6.95 are you out of your mind deals. this cant be beat. I love that they have jjam jjam pong or tang jjah jahng combos which gives you the BEST of both worlds. Their jja jahng myung, tang soo yook, and their wang mandoo cant be beat. their jjam pong and kkang pong seh woo can. lol just trying to keep it real, but still 5 stars because anytime i get a jjajang craving, this place hits the spot. I probably go there way too often, sometimes just to get their wang mandoo to go, it beats any wang mandoo ive ever tasted, even the one at the han nam chain in ktown. And if you know your mandoos, you know that place is the .

This review is for their Jjampong only. I have been a Jjampong fan ever since I can remember. My wife and I still talk about the Jjampong on 8th street in LA that cooked their Jjampong in batches of 8. If you didn’t time it right you could wait up to 45 minutes for your bowl — but it was worth the wait. The Jjampong at Victory Garden is not at that historic level, but. .. whenever I crave Jjampong, this is the place that comes to mind. I don’t mind the long drive knowing a satisfying bowl of Chinese pasta(mien) sitting on top of a spicy seafood broth that has the depth of a restaurant level Maeuntang(spicy fish soup) awaits me. The mien(Chinese noodles) is perfectly chewy. The broth is just the right amount of heat and seasoning(amazingly I don’t taste the MSG). What put this place over the top for me is the perfectly cooked shrimp in the broth. Although they’ve cut down on the number of shrimp(from 4 to 2), the quality and the taste of the shrimp is definitely a bonus. If you really want extra shrimp in your Jjampong, they will put more into your bowl at a nominal cost. If you’ve been disappointed by Hong Kong Banjum, Mandarin Palace, King’s Garden, Wang Tcheng, New Garden. .. give this place a try.

Great price but the food was really… just ok. I would say Jjajangmyun is much better than Jjamppong here. Their fried dumplings and Tangsuyook are really just average if not below. If you are looking for cheap way to get a little bit of two dishes, then you should definitely go here.

really good jjampong noodle seafood soup. nice chewy noodles(potato flour?) that seem to be hand-tossed, which i think is rare in a food court. soup seems to be clear, not not overloaded with pork grease like other places, although i usually leave most of the soup anyways due to sodium content. it’s located off on the exit side of the supermarket, with nice long rows of tables, although not exactly the best place to just hang out for a while. one bad thing for me is that they don’t have any veggie man-doo dumplings, but apparently i’m a sucker for these jjampong noodles.

As for food court style Korean Style Chinese Food at a Korean Grocery Store, this is probably the best choice. For less than $ 8, you can get funny looking bowl that looks like pair of boobies(HAHAHA) with choice of black bean noodles, spicy seafood noodle soup or sweet & sour chicken. I usually enjoy just getting the black bean noodles and sweet & sour chicken. I think their spicy seafood noodle soup is a little bland compare to most places I have been to. The order comes out quickly. The sweet sticky sauce with the crispy strips of pork meets yummy expectations and the taste the familiar black bean sauce with the long chew noodles definitely hits the spot for less than $ 8 w/o tax. Again this place isn’t fancy, it located next the sushi place and if you just want to grab a quick bite, come here. You won’t feel weird eating alone. Just play with your phone while eating.

Tasty fried rice. TangSooYook is ok. I’m not a fan of it nor Chinese food to begin with so it won’t score high with me but in this case… pretty decent. JjaJangMyun is good.

We love eating here. Some very respectable jajangmyun(black bean noodles) and tangsaeyook(sweet and sour pork or chicken). All at a good price. Wife had the jjambbong(spicy noodles) and she said it was extremely good, too. Inside the food court, there is plenty of seating. My 4 stars is reflected only in the price and food quality as you can’t really do all that much for ambiance in a food court.
