Bucky’s Express

I didn’t think I’d find myself reviewing a gas station convenience store, but I was so overwhelmed by Bucky’s I just couldn’t resist. This is a brand new location as of last year, so it’s very nice, clean and new. The pumps work great and prices are generally good. The car wash is OK, the back of my SUV never quite gets clean but that’s true for most car washes. Now what really blew me away was the convenience store and specifically the drinks. I have NEVER seen so many choices in all my life and I have been on plenty of road trips. They have a milkshake station; an ice tea and juice station; a smoothie/​slushie station with 10+ flavors; a soda station with all pepsi and coke flavors (20+ flavors plus syrups); and I didn’t even explore the coffee area but it was massive, too. And this is just the fountain drinks, they have bottled drinks as well. It’s crazy. Seriously. If you’re thirsty, stop on by. The prices were good and the workers were friendly!

This place is not very impressive. First of all the prices for the car wash are not included when the gas pump inquires whether you would like a wash. The cheapest option was $ 9. Pretty steep. The gas also defaults to the most expensive option if you are not careful. This new place is obviously spent some money in this new technology.

Pump 2 does not have any window cleaner in the holder under the trash can next to the pumps to clean the windows. Useless overcharging gas station!!! Neither do the other islands have window cleaner fluid to clean your windows. Monday afternoon @ 4:39 pm.

This is the new Bucky’s and it rocks!!! So big and beautiful and bright. The parking lot is easy to get in and out of. I wasn’t a huge fan of the super-​expensive car wash, because A) it was super expensive, and B) it’s not a touchless. This day in age, i expect most to be touchless, so as to avoid scratches on cars.
This place is definitely gonna give the McShell across the street a run for their money. I’d much rather com here now! The grocery area is huge!

They have EVERYTHING you could want at a convenience store! I think I counted about 10 different iced tea flavors, and around 200 choices of coffee. It was insane! The staff is incredibly polite and nice. Oh and a dozen or so slushy flavors!!!
They sell beer and wine as well, which is convenient. And they have a ketchup pump for the hot dogs (sorry diehard Chicagoans, but I like!)
The store itself is very spacious which is a huge benefit compared to McShell across the street (tiny and shares it space with Grimmace and Ronald McDonald).
Go check it out! You may be surprised that a gas station/​convenience store can be clean, modern, bright, and pleasant.
