The gentleman who cut my hair did a decent job. However, he cut me in four different places– twice above my ears and twice on my neck. I would not say he has a steady hand. I’ve never had my skin cut, let alone in multiple places, when getting a trim. Also, he did not ask any questions along the way to ensure we were on the same page, and had me turned away from the mirror the entire time, so I was unable to see anything until the very end. Because of this, he cut my sideburns much shorter than I prefer. Overall I was left quite unsatisfied.

The haircut was well done and quick. The guy who cut it was very nice. And the price was fair. I have no complaints. I am in a traveling band and am wary of going to get haircuts from places I don’t know but I was pleasantly surprised.

I have been going to Attilio’s for probably 15 years now and would not trust my(perfectly coiffed) hair to anyone else. This is what a barber shop is all about. There is no fluff and they give you a perfect haircut every time. Attilio, the owner of the shop, is a friendly, older Italian gentleman(with the accent to match), who has a steady hand and a time-perfected way of cutting hair. It’s not like going to supercuts, where they use clippers(or a flowbie?) on your entire head or Lady Jane’s where somehow sexy legs equate to a quality cut. Of course it’s also not like going to a spa with a soak and scrub(perhaps a neck massage to cap it off). This is a gentleman’s haircut: simple yet done to perfection(without a hint of irony). Everything is done with scissors and straight razors… the way it should be. To cap off the cut, he uses a straight razor and warm shaving cream to fade the hair on the back of your head. It is quite therapeutic. Add to this the quality conversation that always arises every time I go and you get the ideal haircut. While you’re there ask Attilio about where to find imported Italian items(especially food items), and he will send you to the forgotten corners of Western New York and Canada. Now keep in mind Attilio is not the guy to go to if your looking for an avant garde style or coloring. This is a gentleman’s barbershop that gives a gentleman’s haircut, the kind of haircut that only comes by sticking to and mastering the traditional ways.
