Just tried it. The food was really good. I have a few constructive criticisms to give then because they seemed like a nice family and I hope to see them succeed. The place was very sterile looking. It could use a revamping to make it look more inviting. When I got the food home, I only live a mile away, it was on the cool side. But it was still delicious. I put it in the Microwave and it was still delicious. I had brooklyn sub. My bf got the stinger and he was not asked if he wanted hot sauce or blue cheese. That was the only bad thing he said about his sub. Besides the condiments he said the sub was good. All in all they need to tweak a couple things but the food was still delicious. We would go there again.

Unfortunately this place is not going to last very long. Problem number one the menu is just too big. You cannot add one little topping and call it a whole new sub: cheese steak and peppers cheese steak and cheese cheesesteak and pepperoni cheese steak and jalapenos. Get real, pick a few specialty combos and then just have a list with toppings. Problem number two the quality of the chicken fingers. It seems that they took every little piece of chicken fat and filler, chopped it up in 1 million little pieces, ground it, and formed in the shape of a chicken breast and coated and breadcrumbs. This is not real chicken breast. Problem number three skimpy, skimpy, skimpy, on the meat. Problem number four flavorless cheap tasting barbecue sauce. I wanted to like this place: but it’s impossible. Go elsewhere for you sub. I should note the customer service was friendly! That’s literally the only positive… and it has not much applicability to a take out/fast food diner place.

Ok I dared to try it, I felt it was only the right thing to do given the horrible review I gave it without even crossing the threshold. Speaking of which while I was crossing their threshold I almost fell on my ass! The floors were wet from the snow we were having at the time and these morons didn’t think to put a rubber backed runner to catch water and reduce slip and falls. They are completely unaware of the liability issue. Anyway to the atmosphere… my feelings were right I felt like I was in a crappy hospital waiting room waiting for a friend to get his stomach pumped from eating in a shit place like this LOL. The food is a bit over priced given the crap quality, I specifically asked what type of bread they used and the hair netted dimwit replies its white bread not knowing where it came from or if there was even other breads aside from wonder bread, OMG a sandwich shop what a joke. Right then I knew I was in for trouble. Observation one they have everything closed off so no one can see anything(what are they hiding) probably bad food handling practices based on my sandwich… that I reluctantly ate. Observation two When selling last minute items to increase sales the items should be right next to the check out as it has been done for years at every supermarket not behind the counter unable to be seen, this isn’t the eastside for Christ sake. Observation three the girl shows up with a hair net barely on her head… last thing I want to see is a hair net, a hat, cap, beret but not an f’n hair net where are we in a god damn factory? Observation four the counter is so high and so poorly constructed and with the massive 8′ double floro bulbs everywhere humming whilst waiting the alleged best cheesesteak in the queen city? Ha just adding to the hospital waiting room in the Philippines motif they were pulling off so excellently. Oh what an f’n joy I am thinking can’t wait to see what the factory worker has made me. Observation five she takes my order on a regular order ticket, no custom ticket system? You would think with over 200 sandwiches they would have a specialized ticket to prevent illegible handwriting and mistakes. Observation six the gloves oh she had them on but what I saw OMG she apparently thought because she had them on they somehow killed germs when coming in contact with the cash register, counters, money, and door knobs holy f’n shit is she completely unaware? Gloves should be used right before the task of food handling and then removed if completed and they are not to be regarded as a prophylactic protection from germs in the work place they are to protect the food from the handlers contaminations they come in contact with during their shift. Observation seven a guy walks into a sandwich shop and orders a sandwich then another guy walks into the same sandwich shop orders something but somehow the second guy gets his first… am I invisible? Perhaps I blended in with the stark white paint on the walls and ceiling creating a camouflage LOL good god, no protocols. Observation eight the most important thing is the product without question if all this other crap bothered me and the sandwich was fu*king awesome I would ignore their indiscretions. So predictably based on my seven previous observations lead to the OBVIOUS truth it totally sucked and was over priced. The bread is a ridiculous joke in my eyes, soggy, soft, limp, lifeless loaf no crust whatsoever, if you boast having a great sandwich the canvas is your bread you f’n idiots. Over sauced, microwaved crappy burger, chopped not fine julienned lettuce, tomatoes were soggy, onions were sharp not sweet and the pickles were so sour they overwhelmed the sandwich no balance at all. Apparently their idea of a sandwich is something you get from a crappy ass gas station, in fact I have had better sandwiches at crappy gas stations. In summary if you want to take a ride to a nasty Philippine hospital that doubles as a sandwich shop that sells crappy ass gas station sandwiches by all means cross the threshold but beware of the slip & fall possibility also a serious case of food borne illness, sending you to a genuine hospital where the sandwiches are most likely better. Thank you and good night Cleveland ooops I mean Buffalo.

I have ordered from here twice and both times have not been disappointed. They have a huge variety to order from. I ordered the Steak hoagie. Best Steak I’ve had in some time! Once everyone find this place, it will be VERYBUSY!!!

I have not eaten here yet but it’s finally open so wanted everyone to know that. Right on the corner. Street parking. Very large windows, you can see what the employees are making in front of you. There’s already a line which is why I could not try the food yet, no time today. But it’s sparkling clean and new. Hopefully the food is as good as the place is clean. 4 stars, I’m a fan of the space being used again. Hertel and Wallace.
