Since I am on vacation what is a better way to start the day was with donuts for breakfast. Bought a dozen donuts– 3 banana cream, 3 apple filled, 3 bavarian cream and 3 white cream. Of course i get home. I ate 3 donuts which i should be full for the whole day. Banana cream is so good, taste like banana cream pie. The apple filled is good for me it has apples and the filling is really full if chunk apples not just filling. The bavarian cream is delicious like pudding filled donut. The rest will be eaten by my son and husband. When the get home from work. Hopefully there will be some left… They also have sandwiches for breakfast and lunch so if you don’t want a donuts they do have something for everyone.

Donuts are one of my favorite foods and I can’t ever resist one when they’re around me. I know Paula’s donuts is practically a Buffalo staple, however Donut Kraze may over rule the donut hierarchy. My first time I had Donut Kraze, a co-worker brought it in to work and typical me, I had to have one. I was surprised at first, I cannot lie. I was born and raised a Paula’s donuts kid, and having this was like stabbing them in the back because they were so good and I couldn’t stop eating them. Donut Kraze has two locations, however my store is the one in Buffalo on Dingens. If you’re unsure of where it is, it’s located off the 190, near exit 1(I believe that’s Ogden). Anyway, this location is a decent size, a nice long countertop for you to sit at, as well as tables and chairs and booths located throughout. Walking in, the first thing you see is, take a guess… donuts, of course. Behind the counter and in the glass, donuts, donuts, and more donuts. Basically, donut heaven if you’d ask me. They have a variety of flavors, I recommend the cherry. Also, their donut holes are to die for! I’d love to come here on an early morning, have a coffee with a donut and just relax. It’s usually fairly quiet, the staff is friendly. The only reason I’m giving four stars and not five is, sometimes their selection is limited, and often their donuts go hard right away. Last time I bought a 28 pack of donut holes, put them in a ziplock bag to have them last a little longer and the next day, they were as if they turned to golf balls, disappointing.

I second the notion that Donut Craze blows Paulas off the planet! Donuts that actually have flavor. Light and fluffy and filled with luscious tasty fillings… Donut Craze puts the crazy in insane! Insanely good that is. Cream cheese and strawberry cheesecake are my faves. And real maple bacon!!! You’ve got to be crazed for Donut Kraze!!! You will not just have«one» as hard as you may try :)

Anyone who thinks that Paula’s Donuts are the best in Buffalo clearly has not been to Donut Kraze! Their donuts are nothing short of amazing. I love that they’re not overly sugary, and their angel cream is just fantastic. If I lived closer to either location, I’d be there every day. So good!

Found this little donut shop a month or two ago while visiting the excellent Chinese joint(Peking Quick One) next door. They have a really great selection of donuts. They aren’t as sickeningly sweet and overfilled like Paula’s but that’s fine by me. The maple bacon is great with cream filling, maple icing, and crispy bacon on top. My boyfriend liked the peanut butter and jelly, which is jelly filled with a peanut butter flavoured glazed and crushed peanuts on top. The lemon meringue is also very nice combining lemon custard and a bit of cream in the filling. Cherry, blueberry, and chocolate cake donuts were very tasty too. We tried too many honestly and nothing was disappointing. To top it all off this place is open 24 hours all week. It’s a dangerously delicious place to know about. The staff are very nice, the seating area is clean I think it has a fireplace and a TV…

I don’t love donuts and I avoid them like the plague. Too much sugar and indulgence in one bite. However, after writing a Weekly Unilocal on these guys, I realized that I must have one. Immediately. The craving was real. I finished the Weekly at 3am, but decided the next evening to grab a donut at Donut Kraze with some friends. Who knew you could have that much fun at Donut Kraze? There are bacon maple donuts and a plethora of flavors and half a dozen comes in at under $ 6. We went crazy. A half dozen donuts is more than enough for a group of 3 – 4 people, so we indulged ourselves, made videos of us eating the donuts and had a little too much fun at this donut haven. The staff was super nice, the prices super fair and the donuts are fantastic. I didn’t try the coffee and I hear it’s not very good; maybe one day they will up the prices by a few cents and buy quality beans from a local roaster, but until then… Donut Kraze will forever be ingrained in my memory as a great place to literally go crazy for donuts. I can’t wait until the next time I end up here. It will forever hold a special place in my heart.

We rolled in here very late at night after taking my friends on a long tour of Buffalo breweries. We had been to a nice, enormously filling dinner, and we wanted a bit of something sweet, but nothing gigantic. One of my friends was staying downtown, so Donut Kraze was on our way. It’s located in a really nice spot, just off of the 190. It’s small and unassuming, your basic, no-frills donut shop. It’s got a great selection, even for late at night. One of my friends got a raspberry turnover, I got a Bavarian cream, and Lee got a glazed. They were all very tasty and filling, hitting just the right balance of sweet and fatty pastry. Employees are nice and friendly, and there’s plenty of hot coffee. If you’re in the area, it’s worth a try!

Came here one morning before work, i expected there to be a lot of people but it was completely dead with only two other cars in the parking lot. there was an older couple sitting down having coffee and food already when i walked in and there was no one in line. The place smelled amazing, tons of fresh doughnuts were displayed and the case was packed as if no one had ordered any yet. Come to find out this place is open 24 hours, super cool! i had to give the maple bacon doughnut a try and let me tell you it was super sweet but worth every bite! I will certainly stop in next time i plan on picking up some doughnuts for work again! super quick, friendly and delicious!

Seriously the best Apple Fritter I’ve had in my life. I’m originally from Buffalo, NY but now live in South FL and whenever I go back I stop here almost everyday. The staff is super friendly and counter service is very fast. There’s also plenty of parking. The coffee and donuts are very good, but the apple fritters… Omg. They are the size of your head and are absolutely delicious! I think they are less than $ 2.00 too. My mouth is now officially watering… I wonder if they ship?

Great new donut spot with a large selection. The comparison will always be to Paula’s Donuts — while I give Paula’s the edge on taste, the quality here is high and the variety /types of donuts is better than Paula’s. Looking forward to the Tonawanda location opening.

In a normal world where Paula’s didn’t exist, I would give Donut Kraze 4 or 5 stars. But I have experienced the world’s best(or at least I believe it to be) donuts at Paula’s so I was less than pleased when I tried Donut Kraze’s selection. I tried a peanut butter donut, which was soggy in the middle. If you have read any of my reviews you will know that this is my least favorite characteristic in food! However, I had a peanut stick once and it was pretty good. Better than Timmy Hoes, but no Paula’s.

Buffalo is known for Paula’s and I get that. Paula can make a solid donut. But let’s not forget about this gem. They’re always friendly. They have a good selection. The donuts aren’t little things — they have some weight to them. Much better than Tim’s. Also, it has a nice feeling to go in the early morning when it’s just a bunch of older gentlemen having coffee and chatting.

These donuts have the perfect blend of filling to donut and topping ratio! You can taste everything as opposed to becoming attacked by the filling. Would definitely enjoy these again!

I have to say we’re pretty fortunate to have such amazing donuts in this area. We have DiCamillo’s, Paula’s donuts and now the newest to my list Donut Kraze. I sampled… I mean devoured the PB&J, cream cheese, peanut with cream, peach cobbler, sour cream and bacon maple; they were all perfect. For me where I think Donut Kraze has managed to edge past their competitors is portion. The size is right where it needs to be, but more importantly the donut to filling ratio is perfect. Some places worry so much about making their donuts bigger or filling the donuts to the point the a gentle poke could make them explode. Deep fried doughy perfection has a home, that home is here. Dismiss the hype that Paula’s is the best and give this place a shot, you might be surprised!

Here’s a place you can really sink your teeth into literary. I will tell you that these donuts are completly filled and there are no gaps, the cream is goozed into the whole donut. And their coffee is not from Rochester, or Ohio, but right here in Good Olé Buffalo New York this place may just very well give Tim Hoton’s a run on their coffee. Cheers!

I’ve had an unsettling sweet tooth for the past few days and after seeing Karen Z and Fox E’s reviews, I knew I had to try it out. I was just five miles away at the Galleria and it’s pretty easy to get there: take the 90 to 190, first exit and you can see the location from the exit. I’m so glad: you’re in and out before you can say ‘extra calories’ :) The place is absolutely cute and great and I loved it. It’s a tiny little place with a few chairs on either side of the counter. Behind the counter are layers of freshly made donuts: sour crème, honey glazed, peanut sticks. Your eyes don’t even know where to look, there’s so much good-ness. Despite being a small little place, I was serviced extremely quickly. There were three people running around behind the counter, jumping around the donuts with great finesse and knowledge, pouring coffee, jutting into the back room to bring out more donuts, and all with a smile on their faces. I still can’t believe this is open 24 hours. Just the thought makes me smile. If I’m ever craving something sweet at 3 am, I know where to go. Out of the three I bought, I only managed to try the honey glazed and it was so soft and delectable. I’m pretty much in love with this place now and I know I’ll be coming back.

So if I were a rebellious cow or sheep, and I saw a lush pasture and wanted to make it my own personal dinner buffet, and I saw a sign saying«Do Not Graze», then I would ignore it, and would go ahead and munch away and to hell with the consequences. But this place has nothing to do with that. And if my name were Humphrey and I was a 50s actor who acted too cool and indifferent for my own good, then I would be «Bogart Blasé.» But I’m not, and even if I was, this place has nothing to do with that either. What to get: The Sour Cream Donut. Newsflash: Best Donuts in WNY! Open 24 hrs! Get the Sour Cream donut! 30 seconds off I-190, 1 minute from I-90! If you think Paula’s, Frankie’s, Tim Hortons, Dunkin, are good donuts… you haven’t tried these yet. What is really bizarre is that I was planning to post this review today anyway(it has already been written for a few days), and then I noticed that today’s review of the day is for this place. What a strange and bizarre and unequivocally WEIRDCOINCIDENCE. Okay it’s not that weird, it’s not weird like, what’s in my attic(no you can’t look, no don’t ask, I won’t tell you), but it was a little cool in an «omg what are the odds» sort of way. So I took out a calculator and figured out the odds, and those odds are 1 in 412.2. So there you have it. On with the review. Donut Kraze is the donut shop that Buffalo deserves, but not the one it needs right now. The donuts may be slightly overpriced(but nothing compared to the $ 3NYC equivalents), at $ 1-ish-a-piece, but they are absolutely fantastic. They make Paula’s Donuts wish they were Doughnut Plant in NYC. They make God cry. And not in a bad way. But in a I-just-had-sex-and-it-felt-so-good-a-woman-let-me-put-my-p****-inside-her-I-just-had-sex-and-I’ll-never-go-back-to-the-not-having-sex-ways-of-the-past way. The donut that really rocks my world here is the Sour Cream. The girl here recommended it(and she was a super hottie too) but I was skeptical. I ordered it, and about 2 others, and I could not get enough! All the donuts were pretty good, some were very good, but the sour cream was off the charts. So greasy and crunchy, so luscious and donutty, it’s exactly what you(or I) hope for when you(or I) order a donut. The second time I was here, was a less fun experience. The girl here(a different one, not as cute) was so mean to me! I wasn’t sure what I wanted and she was snapping and barking at me, but not like a cute crocodile or a cute dog, like a totally not cute one. So I guess it depends which server you get, but that doesn’t in any way detract from the donuts. The third time I was here, I tried a few other donuts and they were lovely, such as the coconut and the cruler. The server was adorable, and hit on me, and gave me 5 donuts for the price of 3. I also got a coffee for a friend, and tried it, and it was actually surprisingly good. Best donut in town, hands down. Although I don’t know why you would put your hands down when it comes to Donut Kraze. I’d put my hands up, and say«me me me, I want a donut!» So hop off the 190 at Dingens and it’s RIGHTTHERE(like Marshawn Lynch was last Sunday before they decided to throw it to Butler instead), go and give it a try. And if I sound a little crazy, it’s the donuts. They’ve put me into a DONUTKRAZE, yo.

This place deserves 10 stars. I am a connoisseur of glazed sour cream donuts. I have always loved them… and will never eat one again without comparing it to Donut Kraze’s rendition. Definitely better than Paula’s, as blasphemous as that may sound. These are old fashioned, homemade donuts that make Tim Horton’s donuts look like a joke. There’s just something about the texture of these donuts that no other place can compare to. A slight crisp when you bite into it… so freakin delicious. Ive tried several kinds, but keep coming back to the glazed sour cream and the honey-dipped chocolate. They have a small lunch menu… i havent been able to move past the donut selection yet though but perhaps i will one day try the beef sandwich… Servers are great… and if you catch the right one at the right time, she may just sneak an extra donut in your box for you :) They’ve been in existance for only three years(and it appears they just completed a remodel — used to be a Dickies, maybe they should open a 2nd location in the other vacant Dickies in NORTH Buff???) Regardless, mark my words, its only a matter of time before you start seeing the Donut Kraze box replace the Paula’s box on the counter at work each Friday morning… ;)

Stopped in for breakfast after walking through the«banned» areas to go pick up my boyfriends car. Now we have to try to find a way back in. Glad this little place was along the way. The employees are nice and friendly. The bagel sandwich was good and so was the hash brown. The coffee isn’t bad. They have a huge selection of Donuts and the Apple crisp is decent.
