Apologies if this is harsh but this establishment will not be open for long. We went to Elite Fine Dining on Valentine’s Day, mainly due to the fact that we couldn’t get in at our favorite spots, but also because of the past Friar’s Table excellence. I agree with another reviewer, the limited Valentine’s Day menu should have been communicated via the website or when we called for reservations. It was unexpected but we should have known with it being Valentine’s Day. Our waitress, although she was sweet, kept complaining of how terrible people were treating her and how rough her shift was going — not professional. We ordered the scallops wrapped in bacon, they were okay, not worthy of the price but we were being nice. With it being a limited menu, we both ordered the $ 29 shrimp scampi with high hopes. We were served something I could have made better at home. The pasta was from a box, although they say they have homemade pasta, it came with 5 small shrimp, and it couldn’t have been more plain and simple. A $ 29 entrée that was worth $ 16. We decided to skip the dessert and get ice cream at Wegmans on the way home. With all of the wonderful food establishments in Buffalo, good luck to Elite Fine Dining staying open. We will not be back.

Don’t want to be picky, but so many little things do add up. First, it’s Valentine’s Day and if you have a 3 pm res you’d expect the door to be open before that. We, and a few other cars, had to sit for 10 min’s until the door was unlocked. Then there was a smell. One we smelled before but we couldn’t place. Not necessarily a bad smell but when you’re eating it can be disturbing. First we thought it might have been the table next to us had overpowering perfume. It filled only this room not the other bigger room. We considered asking to relocate but pressed on. Half way through the meal it came to us … Lillie’s of the Valley. Next, the menu wasn’t the full menu but an abbreviated version considering the day it was. We weren’t totally surprised but this should have been noted on the website or told when we called for our res’s. Guess I should have asked. We did see another couple leave when they found this out. On to the meals. App’s: Lobster Bisque was good but a little salty. I don’t know why chef’s feel the need to use so much salt. If a dish can’t stand out with it’s basic ingredients all the salt in the world isn’t going to make it better. Buttermilk Shrimp were big and were good. Entrees: Salmon good, Scallops good, sides of mixed green beans and asparagus OK, but the Risotto was not very good. Too starchy and sticky. I would have thought this could happen later in the day not at first opening. We should have had the potato. Desert: Chocolate covered cherries of course. Wine: Mondavi Cab. Don’t mean to be so harsh but it was V-day and just wanted it to be better. Sláinte

We had great expectations, however, overall very disappointed. A friend highly recommended this restaurant based on a good experience when it first opened. Guessing since then the service and food have become less«exceptional». Our waiter(very nice gentleman) was the best part of our experience and that’s where the 9⁄10 rating stops. The«hostess» or perhaps manager/owner was very unprofessional — dressed in blue jeans, clunky knee high boots and walked(sounded more like stomping) in and out of the kitchen multiple times past our table. Appeared to be annoyed and irritated. Staff overall, unprofessional — tried clearing our table while we still had food on our plates, inexperienced, etc. When we arrived for a 5:30PM reservation the restaurant was mostly empty. We were seated 3 tables from the kitchen entrance. Should have asked to change tables right away, however, we didn’t notice till we were settled at our table and had established a good rapport with our waiter and didn’t want to take a chance with someone else waiting on us. Staff was in and out of the noisy kitchen, constantly marching by our table. The wine we ordered wasn’t in stock. Food was good but not worth the price considering the name of the restaurant — not«fine» «dining» by any stretch. Another couple came in before we left and they were seated right next to the kitchen and there were many open tables in far more desirable areas of the restaurant. They immediately asked to be re-seated someplace else. Perhaps, had we too done that, we would have had a little better experience. The overall impression we have is that this restaurant will not be open much longer. We almost always come away from a restaurant with a good impression — not this one. Don’t waste your time and money.

Excellent food, three of us all ordered the Ribs. Waitress was attentive and informative about the restaurant and chef Kevin. Salad, Bean soup ordered by all 3 of us was so good. Two of us had the rissotto and the other had Sweet potatoes. All in all a pleasant experience, a little pricey but having a groupon for 50 $ helped.

I saw a commercial for this restaurant and wanted to try it. So me and my friend get there, ordered a bottle of wine, martini and raw oysters and an entrée. Reasons why I will never return… 1. We noticed everyone else had a basket of bread except for us and we didn’t notice till it was at the end of dinner 2. We ordered a dozen oysters. They were delicious and fresh, but came out as 4 first then 10 minuteS later the other 8 arrive. 3. We both ordered the same exact thing. Filet migon medium rare, and risotto. My friends steak came out perfect. Mine came out still mooing and I sent it back 3 times. It initially came topped with onions and after the 3 rd return I no longer had them. And then my steak was overly cooked. My sides were ice cold after the 3 rd return. 4. They needed more wait staff. The poor guy who was our server had like 6 tables and when we needed him we were unable to get his attention. Not his fault… 5. My salad before dinner had huge 1inch cut chunks of onion… And the ass end of a cucumber. Oh and last but not least… I had to rush home because my stomach started to turn and I had stomach pains and had to immediately go to the bathroom. This happened to my friend as well… This place is not«fine dining».

Good soup. Good bread spread. Good salad. Good at listening. Lit our candle when asked but wasn’t already lit or offered to be lit. Bad at clearing tables. Didn’t clear when they saw I was done and dropped a few silver wear when actually clearing my table. Their recommended soup is DELICIOUS10⁄10. The lobster mac and cheese is not what you expect. Great sauce though. Good presentation. 7⁄10. The NY strip steak was delicious. Cooked perfectly. 9⁄10. Side dishes weren’t the best. Overall, great ambiance but food could have been better and general service could have been better. Though waiter Craig could have improved in clearing get tables, he was very tentative. Thanks for reading :-)

Had excellent food to go with a nice quiet evening with my wife. Filet mignon melted in your mouth. Little pricey. We used a certificate which helped make it reasonable on our budget. Service was great and dessert topped off the night. Definitely a nice place to go without the kids!

Went to elite fine dining to check out a new buffalo restaurant, wow what a place. We started with the tuna tar tar, and u could tell it was as fresh as can be, I never new tuna could melt in ur mouth, we also decided to get a half dozen oysters, fresh and plump, amazing. For are entrees we chose the bbq ribs, best I have had In buffalo, fall off the bone and homemade bbq really made it. The other entrée was the shrimp scampi, absolutely amazing, the homemade linguini put it over the top. Nice to see chefs still care enough to make their own pasta, instead of taking the easy way and opening amazing box. Dessert was homemade grand mariner crème brulle, perfectly done. Will be back to elite often, we give elite 5 out of 5 stars!!!

The food was awful. We ordered the shrimp and crab ravioli and all we tasted was lemon. The Tuscan tenderloin and pappardelle was just pepper. The wine had a weird after taste. The entire experience was a bust.

AMAZINGFOOD! Top notch! Well done Elite Fine Dining! We will come back again and again! We had gnocchi and lobster mac and cheese, Boston crab stuffed haddock, both entrees were great. Our server Tim was phenomenal! He was very attentive and funny. Dinner was so filling that we took dessert home which was also delicious.

My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner and we definitely were not disappointed! We tried the bruschetta and it was one of the best ones we’ve ever had. We both had the ribeye and it was very good(cowboy steak was the menu name.) Our waitress Brandy was phenomenal, she even gave us a piece of cake for free for our Anniversary! I will definitely be recommending this place to family and friends!

The service was excellent, server knew the menu well for only being open two days. Had the Tuna tartare to start and the Fish Tacos as my entrée they were so good, my coworker had the shrimp & crab ravioli & they were very good. We did not have room for dessert. They did a beautiful job with the dining rooms. Will be back to try the steak & ribs!
