I can’t say I’ve spent a lot of time here. Or really any before this past month. But now I’m practically a regular.
Located next block over from city hall, if you get here around 8 and don’t need to be here too long you can find street parking. But only for two hours. So if you need longer take the subway or park in the lot below the building.
Building opens at 8:30. Not one minute earlier in my experience. You go through security. No cameras allowed, they take yours and give you a receipt to pick it up as you leave. Mine was fine, but I did not carry it again. Did not want to chance it.
You go to the floor /​court you need and hopefully the court opens on time. That seems to be a random thing. Sigh. If you are lucky you get a bench to sit on outside that courtroom, but if you are not the first or second there there may not be seating. And you may be waiting for quite some time.
But the elevators work and the seating in the courts is fine, acoustics could be improved, but I suppose you don’t have to hear everything.
