Stopped in for lunch and tried the fried chicken, pot roast, pinto beans, Mac and cheese and coleslaw. $ 11 for an entrée, 2 sides, corn bread, dessert and a drink. Everything was fresh, tasty and hot. Kind and friendly staff. Didn’t get to try their Taste of Buffalo award winning fried catfish, but we’ll definitely be back for that!

This review is for their catfish nuggets @ Taste of Buffalo. It’s hard sitting 2 booths down from the almighty Dinosaur BBQ but anyone that checked out Garris could tell that they were every bit as legit. The fried catfish nuggets might have been the best thing I ate all day there. I grew up eating a lot of catfish (albeit cooked Chinese-​style) but Garris’s nuggets were memorable — juicy on the inside and great flavor in the batter that it didn’t even need hot sauce.
