Glenny Softball Diamonds

Giving this park a two star rating because it’s in an undesirable neighborhood, there’s no parking and parking enforcement has been known to give people parking tickets even though they see that people are playing softball and know there’s nowhere for people to park their vehicles.
During the week, coed, men’s and women’s teams play here at 6pm & 7:15pm but before and after that this place is a ghost town. It’s not the kind of park you come to to take a nice walk or cookout. There are only two softball diamonds and a playground that’s not visible from the street. This park is close to ECMC and there is a school close by.
On Sunday’s there’s a men’s softball league that plays here anytime from 10am until 6pm and you’ll see tons of people here grilling in tents and playing softball. You can get two hot dogs and a drink for $ 4 and two pork steaks (chops) with two slices of bread for $ 6.50 and there are other items on the menu (hamburgers, beef sausage, turkey sausage etc.).
I’ve been to the Sunday games several times and there has never been a problem here. Most the teams know each other and there’s a good vibe. Fun in the sun, games and BBQ.
