I went to Gondolas storefront location for the first time a few days ago. Let me start by saying its the so adorable, with PLENTY of old school charm this place is truly one of a kind. As i was walking up to the door the first thing I noticed was that I could see them making the pasta right in front of me! As I stepped in there was one customer being helped at the moment by a man with his arm in a funny looking cast, so I looked around for what I wanted. I noticed that I was still able to watch the workers make the pasta while I was inside(how cool!). There were a few freezers to look in and view products, at the time I was looking for a cheese ravioli for a dinner I was planning on making the following night. I noticed that there was also a board that showed what they were making fresh that day(I believe that is what it said) and what their seasonal option was, butternut squash ravioli I think. There are a ton of products that I want to try after looking around, first their sauce. They offer tubs in assorted sizes witch I thought was a fantastic option for those who may want to just try a small amount, compared to those who want to use it for an entire meal for their family. Next, the stuffed shells! Now I am all about my Grandmothers stuffed shells and if she knew I went and bought these rather than making them myself she might not be too happy but for about 6 bucks why wouldn’t I give them a shot?! They have a ton of assorted ravioli options such as LOBSTER, their seasonal option, meat ravioli and cheese… I opted to go with the cheese for my meal. I can’t even tell you how inexpensive their products are, take my word for it please! I’m never buying store bought pasta again after eating these little soft, fluffy cheesy pillows of goodness! I made a simple meal using these in a skillet that consisted of ground beef, tomatoes, cheese and the cheese ravioli… I seasoned my meat with salt and pepper, that’s about it. The cheese ravioli made this dish complete, I could not have been happier. They were easy to cook, easy to break apart(after i thawed them) and even easier to eat! Overall this place truly has the heart of Buffalo, NY inside it, with its old school charm you can just tell that everyone is treated like family, even their customers. One of the things that I love about local Buffalo business. I am looking forward to coming back and trying new things, the Lobster Ravioli is the first on my list! I highly recommend you put down those big brand pasta noodles/raviolis and support this local family owned and operated business!

Finally had a chance to check out Gondola the other day and bought a box of their meat ravioli with a few packages of lobster ravioli. I cooked the meat ravioli as soon as I got home and I ate it with some sour cream. It was delicious, but I was a little distressed to find 50% of my daily sodium intake in one package of meat ravioli. Hopefully the lobster ravioli is a little less sodium intensive. I’m too young for a heart attack! As others have said, their ravioli is house-made, but their lobster ravioli uses some imitation meat per the ingredients list, not real lobster; so don’t think you’re getting a bunch of lobster meat in ravioli for $ 4! This place also sells home made pasta sauce, stuffed shells and different noodles. The people who work here are really friendly and this small store in Black Rock is an absolute blessing for us pasta-lovers. I mean, seriously. a whole store dedicated to pasta products? What more could you want.

Awesome pasta — especially their raviolis which taste home made. The store front is tiny and HOT — I can’t imagine being in there and cooking all summer. The ravs come in cheese, meat, spinach, and lobster. The pastas have various flavors too — egg noodles, garlic/pesto noodles, black pepper, spinach, roasted red pepper — sooooo good! Worth traveling there to stock up on your pasta

I’ve been coming here off and on for years… I tend to forget about it then am always so glad I remember! I’ve only had their stuffed shells and cheese ravioli… but they are always yummy and put anything else commercial to shame. Very good price on a entire box too! Worth the trip

How is it that I’m the first to review Gondola’s? Hole-in-the wall pasta makers. Come here to stock up on dried pasta and frozen tortellini or ravioli or stuffed shells or sauce. It’s just a storefront with a shelf for dried pasta and a freezer for stuffed pasta. The stuffed pastas come in cheese or meat. The cheese tortellini are a staple in my freezer. Just walk in, open the case, make your choice, ring the bell for some service and get home. The dried pasta come in black pepper, red chili pepper, lemon pepper, squid ink, angel hair, plain. They are all cut into fettuccini(except the angel hair) and sold in bags. The choices vary. The woman who works behind the counter doesn’t speak much english. On your way there to stock up for Sunday’s family supper, stop at Santasiero’s Restaurant for lunch.
