Grille 620

First time here as Grill 620. Stopped in during restaurant week and had a choice of 6 main dinners. I had the steak, oh so good. And beer soup with a pretzel very good. The bride and Princess had the pasta with shrimp and scallops in a cream sauce. They loved it. They had eggplant and cheese in a red sauce for starter. Basic apple Crisp and a fudge brownie were good. A good meal for us. We will be back.

I was here for s couple days and I was not expecting much from a hotel bar and restaurant so maybe I was just pleasantly surprised but I thought the food was very good (especially the southwest quesadilla). The bartenders are also very nice!

I stayed at the Holiday Inn for a few days on a business trip and had dinner here every night. I tried venturing out in the ‘cool’ neighborhood but the places were so pretentious I could never even get service! I love hotel bar/​restaurants and this one is classic! It reminded me of the movie «Waiting» but in a good way. Service was fun and friendly. I enjoyed hearing all about their lives albeit second handedly. Try the quesadillas or the paninis. They’re huge and a good value. The local brew was awesome but at $ 8.99 a pint I started to feel like I was in a tourist trap. Oh, the flat screen tv’s surrounding the bar are a life saver for those quiet awkward moments. Overall, this place makes me want to travel more.

I’ve eaten breakfast here every day for the last week, and also had a few dinners. The staff members are friendly, and understanding of some special meal requests. (For example, I don’t eat potatoes, so they were willing to give me fruit instead.)
To be honest, I had very tame expectations for a hotel restaurant, but the food surprised me. There’s a nice selection of menu items, and the food is well-​made. The turkey burger is huge and one of the better ones I’ve had in recent memory. The omelettes are super fluffy and stuffed full of whatever meat and cheese you choose.
I’ve tried a couple of other places in the neighborhood, but the staff and the food keep bringing me back here.

Not sure why the bad reviews, but the food was delicious and service was friendly. I was here for a couple nights on a work trip and came both nights. Only had dinner one night, but the buffalo chicken fingers and fries were great. Drinks were excellent and there’s a good selection of beers on tap. The happy hour is also decent. I didn’t expect much from a Holiday Inn restaurant, but was pleasantly surprised. Don’t let the bad reviews keep you out; it’s no Michelin three-​star, but it’s still good food and good drinks.

Went here for restaurant week and was pleased. A ton of food for the fixed price with multiple options. I was supposed to get an 8 oz petite prime rib but it was closer to 12 oz. The bruschetta was very good, my son ate my salad and loved it, the prime rib was very good and the apple pie is for later. All in all I think we got a great deal even without the free kids meals. My wife enjoyed her steak Dianne. Food was good, I would go back. I would not and was not expecting top notch and got what I expected, good food for a great price. I am unsure how the value would be on the regular menu. Service was excellent.
With so many places in Buffalo I am unsure when we will be back but it was a good place.

I have had breakfast and lunch here several times and even ventured here once for dinner (hoping it would be better).
The food is overpriced, the quality isn’t great, and the management/​organization is horrible. That said, the waitresses I have had are pleasant and the service is adequate.
I often go to Bin 620 for coffee and have learned to either stick to something simple or just get a cinnamon roll (which they make in-​house).
Don’t expect excellent food and you won’t be disappointed.

Can I give this ½ a star or lower? I requested for a medium rare prime rib from the waiter. I described my definition of medium rare to him. Yet, he brought me well done. When I told him what the issue was, he simply said «oh». Hotel restaurant. Do not eat here unless you have to.

The worst meal of my life. I’m not kidding. Even my kids couldn’t eat their food. The Mac n cheese was reheated and gross, the grilled cheese was actually two pieces of bread and a slice of cheese burnt under a broiler. They were free and I still felt like I paid too much. Our calamari was overlooked. My salad was missing ingredients and it’s dressing was sickeningly sweet. The bruschetta was the best item we had and was nearly eatable. I’m not picky but this was just offensively bad. The service was good, so were the drinks. So go and drink only, if you must visit.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Buffalo Downtown and the on-​site restaurant Grille 620 was by far the best part of my stay! Food is delicious and the prices are good. The service is great!

Great place to grab a bite. Plates are huge and everything is tasty!

I love the food here. It is always great in quality and services. They have many specials. Even though it is located inside the Holiday Inn, the food is great. Many people think hotel restaurants are just plain pricy, but I believe you are getting your money’s worth here.
For Breakfast — My favorite is the Steak with Eggs… you can’t go wrong with that, nice juicy steak with 2 eggs, brown skillet potatoes, and your choice of toast. I usually ask for onions and green peppers on my steak. I also like the Denver Omelet (which is green peppers, onions, diced ham and chedder cheese). if i go for a ligher meal, I usually order the Giant Cinnamon Roll which is good and cheap.
For Dinner– My favorite is the dessert, the 11 layer chocolate cake with the creamy chocolate which is great for chocolate lovers. it is a big slice which can be shared among friends. My favorite dinner entrée meal is the rack of lamb drizzled with Dijon-​rosemary demi glacé, served with garlic mashed potatoes OR the NY striped steak (16 oz., one & one half inch thick center cut) topped with a cherry pepper butter, served with sautéed mushrooms and red skinned mashed potatoes. mmm yummy!!!
They also have great wine service!!! There is compliementary bread services with your meals; so you can save $ on appertizers by just eating the bread.

All the meals are big in portion size and generally decent price. The servers are always cherry and welcoming. They are cheap for the big portion size and you will walk away feeling stuffed. =)
[DINNER]
A few months ago they had the free bottle of wine with any purchases of 2 dinner entrees but is cancel because of the newer specials. They also used to have a jazz band play every wednesday night (which is gone now) but they still have the 2-​for-​1 martini at the bar on wednesday nights. So come in on wed nights for martinis!!!
Now they have a prime rib & wine on weekends (friday-​sunday) night.
There is also additional special feature dinner entrée which is cheaper than the regular dinner menu. So you can save $$$.
For those that want something lighter, there is a bar menu with wings, fingers, sandwiches and such. There is 4 flat big screen tv to watch sports or anything. There is always something going on.
Grille 620 for dinner is a nice place to be, from an intimate couple setting to business causal quiet area to have dinner and discuss business.
The Tuscan Chicken pan-​fried double chicken breasts with fresh spinach, artichoke hearts and baby portobello mushrooms over couscous with a lemon caper sauce is a winner accoridng to Jane Okun which was rated with 3 stars to the Buffalo News.
Many guests love the pan-​seared scallops for appertizers.
