Hands On Watch & Clock Repair

This is the only clock and watch repair store left in the city of Buffalo. These Black Rock natives have been in this corner of the Broadway Market for I think they said, 28 YEARS!

I went into the Broadway Market one morning looking for fried green tomatoes and pierogis to start my day. I found neither but I did notice this watch repair. I’ve been driving around with a Baggie of broken jewelry and a watch just bought, that fell apart. I fetched it. William Q. Young it seemed, merely squeezed the band and it went back together. He put a pearl necklace back together. And he told me honestly that he couldn’t fix another which I appreciated– rather than ruin it trying.
His collection of Seikos is small and nicely priced. I bought a small gold one with dolphins and a moon on its face for under $ 30. An impulse buy, but I’ve been thinking about how rude and obvious it is to check your phone for the time when a quick, subtle flick of the wrist could accomplish it.
