Convenient and relatively all you would need on a lunch break run. Good food, sweets, and typical junk food options. The people that work here are very friendly. This place has a lot of traffic mostly bc it’s so convenient. I ordered the cheeseburger sub, and at only $ 6 it’s really big! I was only able to finish one half. The salads look great although I haven’t tried them. I recommend them spot as a one stop shop. Everything you’d need for CHEAP is right in here!

I have to agree with some of the other folks– I never knew Down Town Buffalo had a store like this? First time I walked in I thought– Utt-O! but did I get the shock of my life! I walked up the sandwich counter and ordered a roast beef sub– the man behind the counter say: «Oh you gotta try the horseradish cheddar with that, you’ll really like it!» and then he went on to find out how to make sub just the way I wanted it. About 2 minutes later– I had this amazing sub on what looked like home baked rolls! The sub was out of this world FRESH– both the roast beef and the cheese the guy suggested were GREAT! Today I had a ham and swiss cheese sub– OMG! I ate ½ for lunch and had to bring the other ½ home for dinner! Also– the people here are very friendly! It sorta reminds me of when I was a kid and there were a lot of «Mom & Pop» stores! Can’t wait for lunch tomorrow!

This place doesn’t look like much. The first time I walked in, I had my doubts — it looks like an old convenience store inside. BUT don’t be fooled. This is absolutely one of the greatest hidden little lunch spots in downtown Buffalo. I work a block over, so I’ve been here many times and I can honestly say I have never had something bad from here. I tried their fried bologna today, and I can honestly say it was the best I have had in Buffalo. Their subs are great — which is weird, because the ingredients are pretty normal, but somehow they taste better than other places. My very favorite part is their breakfast sandwiches. They’re kind of like crack for me. Unlike Timmy Ho’s or Dunkin, they make them on bread that they bake fresh in the store every morning and the eggs/sausage/bacon/whatever is usually cooked fresh on the grill as well. I haven’t tried one, but the salads get rave reviews at my office too. And, finally, the staff(Nick, Mike, Deb and some very experienced cooks) are super friendly and down-to-earth as well. Sorry if I sound like a fanboy here. I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while. Kudos are well-deserved. Be forewarned: This place serves all kinds — Lawyers and hobos, side by side. It is an experience, but definitely in a good way. (Note: there are three Holly Farms stores in Buffalo. This one on Pearl St. downtown, one on Allen, and one on E. Delavan. They aren’t related to each other. This review is for the downtown one.)

I eat here often since it is right near my office. The food is always delicious and when I get lunch from other places nearby, I always wish I had just gone to Holly Farms instead. They always have great specials that they rotate through, along with regular basics. It’s a hidden gem in Downtown Buffalo… much better food than you’d expect from such a little deli!

I see its been a couple of years since this place has been reviewed. Must be under new management. The deli is just ok… a bit skimpy on the meat. The other groceries are very limited and not top quality. The pizza looked like it was made 6 hours ago and kept under a heat lamp. Hope this isn’t the best buffalo has to offer

I haven’t been to Buffalo in a while, so I was excited to hit this deli up again. $ 6 later I had an enormous turkey sub with everything and some fresh fruit for my trip today. I’ll be back soon!

I live right next door to this place, and it is awesome. It as pretty much anything you could want. A deli with all sorts of subs and pastas, chips, beverages(alcoholic and non-alcoholic), cleaning supplies, you name it. One stop shop and really close to everything downtown!
