Delicious hamburgers! Very large portions. Friendly service and reasonable prices. Desert was not on the menu, however the waitress gave a nice list of options when we asked. Tried the peach cobbler a la mode and a brownie sunday; both were really good. It was a total of $ 22.68(with water to drink). Looks like they have a full bar and they do have a smoking section. Their menu had Mexican dishes and home cookin favorites too.

This is a really great restaurant if you find yourself in Buffalo, MO. Whenever I’m in town I make sure I eat a meal here. Quaint atmosphere, extremely friendly service, and great homestyle cooking. The menu has burgers, sandwiches, comfort foods, smokehouse BBQ, and«Mexican» food. Usually when I come here I go for the BBQ but this time around I was craving some chicken fried steak. The breaded cube steak was perfectly tender on the inside with a nice crunchy crust and topped with country gravy. They ran out of mashed potatoes so I went with some french fries which were tossed in some seasoning and so tasty they didn’t need any ketchup. Also came with a side of green beans(with bacon tossed in) and a fresh baked fluffy buttermilk biscuit with butter & honey. Great way to slap my diet right in the face. Worth every calorie. Also came with a side salad with the chunkiest blue cheese dressing I’ve ever seen. Yum! My wife had the hickory smoked brisket which I had a bite. Wow, for being in the sleepy town of Buffalo this was one of the best brisket I’ve tasted. Super smokey and melt in your mouth tender with a fantastic BBQ sauce. Since my wife isn’t a fan of baked beans she gave them to me. WOW. Amazing bbq beans which chunks of brisket tossed in. My father in law had the southern fried chicken which is his favorite thing on the menu. For only $ 7.99 it was a huge portion and I was looking at his plate with envy the entire time. Mother in law had what looked like some sort of bbq brisket sandwich using really thick grilled bread slices. Last time I was hear I had a slab of their hickory smoked pork ribs which fell off the bone and tasted great. There’s really only a handful of restaurants in town and this one never disappoints. Be warned for you out of towners like myself… smoking is allowed inside so you will be smelling cigarette smoke while you eat even if you’re in the non-smoking section.

Good food and friendly service. Lots of smokers but we sat off in the corner of the non-smoking section and it was fine. Worth a stop if you are in town.

Maple Street Bar and Grill is as good as it gets in this sleepy little city of 2700. I see it’s been reviewed before but it warrants several. The menu is varied(appetizers to entrees in several styles) and the food is always great. I’ve eaten there several times and always leave with a grin and a full stomach. There is one item I’m fond of called the«Editor’s Edition. A very large pork tenderloin sandwich with green chili strips laid across the top, covered with cheese and served with sides. It’s featured on the Lunch menu but not on the Dinner menu although it’s still available by request. A full bar is available and smoking is permitted. The owners work right along with the rest of the friendly and able staff. Almost everything in this area is family owned and run, this is just the best one. So, if by some chance you’re ever in this area, make Maple Street a «must try» for a fantastic meal.

While visiting my parents in Louisburg, Missouri, we like to venture to the town over(an actual incorporated town) for dinner at the restaurant«that serves beer!»(Exclaimed by my mother, always the Cheesehead!) Walk in, and hear a cheerful, «Hi, howyou?»(This is the standard greeting in these parts, trust me.) You’ll find out, indeed, they do serve beer. And lots of other items… lots of mexican options(the monterey chicken is pretty good), excellent seafood(yes, kids, even in Missouri!) good lasagna, good burgers… you definitely will not leave this place hungry! Located in quaint downtown Buffalo, near the only«bar» which is conveniently located near the police station, should you desire some police assistance… if you’re ever in the area(and I kinda doubt you will be), stop in, grab a bite, and a beer. Cuz face it, it’ll be a long way to the next meal where you can get a cold one! Service is a tad slow, but very friendly(and most dishes come with a good-sized side salad for you to whet your whistle). One drawback: everyone smokes down here inside the restaurant. And not just regular cigarettes, long 100’s, where the old ladies practically over-extend their elbows to light ‘em.
