I normally love mighty however I ordered a super mighty pack Sunday. The meat was dry, preparation was horrible(who rolls a taco the wrong way,(all lettuce on my first 4 bites), no hot sauce, and a super small ration of sour cream. For someone that grew up loving mighty taco I was thoroughly disappointed. I didnt want to, but when I called the store manager to complain I was treated like I was liar. Save your time and money. Go to a different location!

Worked there when I was younger and easily one of my favorite places to eat when I come home to visit the parents. They have less selection than Taco Hell, but their food tastes so much better.

You can never go wrong with Mighty Taco! Located right in the Williamsville place plaza. Very friendly and quick staff no matter how busy they get! Awesome!

Great food! If you’re from buffalo, you love mighty! If you’re not, you hate it lol… I must say, the drive thru has gotten annoying–«I would like a burrito on whit – » ONWHEATORWHITE? «…On white, and nothing else on…» ANYTHINGELSEONIT? «…No, I was just saying that, and» «ANYCHIPSOREMPANADAS? «…No, but.» ANYTHINGELSETODAY? «…sigh»

If you want a high quality, authentic Mexican culinary delight, with only the highest caliber of customer service… then this is definately not the place for you. However…if you have imbibed several adult beverages, it’s after midnight, and your hungry. Then you can find no better than the mighty taco. It is a buffalo tradition and if your heading home(with a designated driver of course) from downtown grab yourself a pack of tacos. One Buffalo!

Not to be done sober… but when pickled it’s one of two places I go to out in B-Lo(Jim’s Steak Out is the other). Ninja Burrito. So awful yet effective. You will get a rumble in your bumble the next day tho… just a warning.

Quality has gone downhill. They need to start a quality control campaign with the employees. They are in such a rush to make the tacos they ruin them. I have been a customer for years, just very disappointed lately. I should add that some Mexican flavor would be nice. maybe a premium menu with cilantro, chopped onion, fresh jalepeno, etc…

This place 10 years ago would easily get 5 stars. The quality & portion of the beef definitely went down hill. The service & the employees is the only thing that saves this place.

My Sister is back in town for a few days so she wants to hit up all of her favorite places to eat so I will be visiting them with her. Mighty Taco is the top of her list, along with Ted’s, and Duff’s. The food is always good at Mighty. I typically get a Super Mighty burrito and a couple hard shell taco’s — or I might get a chicken or steak fajita. I like the extra hot with sour cream. I have never had a bad meat at Mighty. There is a saying no one can eat $ 15 worth of Mighty. The prices are good and the sizes are as well.

I’ve gone to mighty taco since I was young. Never fails to satisfy for a quick lunch. As someone else here said the quality has gone down. Nonetheless when those caveman food cravings hit I would highly recommend going here. I think they just celebrated a big anniversary too, so hey. Why not.

Has anyone noticed a change in the flavor of the beef filling in a Mighty or Super Mighty? I noticed this about 2 – 3 years ago and the newer recipe is not as good. Many people seem not to have noticed, but I am convinced they changed the recipe and not for the better. It must have been a cost-cutting move. I would have given it 4 stars before the recipe change. Also, they put very little lettuce and tomatoes on now. You have to request extra lettuce and tomatoes. I won’t be going to Taco Bell which tastes like dog food, but I’ve got to look for other options for a quick burrito at lunch.

Yes, I know. It’s fast food, and I normally hate fast food, but this is actually pretty good. One day in may, my dad and I went to the drive thru here, and I ordered a 3 cheese burrito and an cherry empanada. My dad got a mighty taco. Now, normally we would just park our car and eat our lunch looking out onto Sheridan drive, but we did something different. We drove up to the apartments on mill street and ate in the back yard of it. My burrito was good tasting and my cherry empanada was delicious. My dad seemed to enjoy his mighty taco. So, I guess it was three star food in a five star setting, but since it’s fast food but good enough, it gets three stars. I would go back.

Here’s the thing about convenience and chain restaurants: you pretty much know what you’re getting, and know it’s going to be mediocre, at best. It’s almost a guarantee going into it. There really is no going up from there, only down if the experience fails to meet those expectations. And really unless you’re a Buffalo sports team, it’s difficult to consistently fall short of mediocre. The best thing about Mighty Taco is: it isn’t Taco Bell. It is unique to the WNY region which instantly endears their franchise in the hearts and pocket books of everyone that loves everything Buffalo. The second best thing about Mighty is, as far as convenience restaurants go, their food quality and variety meets a higher expectation. It’s not just fast food; it is good food quickly. Not great — but good. If you want a great taco or authentic Mexican food, Mighty is not the place for you. Counter service is adequate. They take your order, they smile and say thank you, you get your order quickly. Drive-thru service… well, if the person in the speaker box is intelligible and the person at the window doesn’t drop your change between the wall and your car, everything is good, right? Sure, you Mighty fans might think a 3-star rating is low for this iconic Buffalo staple, but let’s think about what you’re really getting here: a decent quality meal quickly. There isn’t much else that can go into it. And consider I would never give a McDonald’s anything more than 1-star unless I personally witnessed Grimace defusing a hostage situation that didn’t involve the Hamburglar. The 3-star is good, trust me.

Okay, people I know go nuts over Mighty Taco. I know people living out of town who make a stop here whenever they come in. I’m just so so on mighty. For me, it’s like«I need something quick to eat, but don’t want to stoop to McDonald’s». It’s someplace that will hit the spot when I don’t want to go to some stinky diner late at night. It’s the place we used to hang out at, and just order chips and cheese because we spent all our money on beer, and congregate when the party got busted by cops and we had nowhere else to hang out!(That was at the old location on Maple and North Forest.) See, to me, Mighty isn’t about the food being so great as it is about the convenience and nostalgia. I am a fan of the chicken fajita(medium sauce, no lettuce or tomato-I know, I’m weird!) and the chips and cheese and apple empanadas. If you have high expectations for«authentic«Mexican food, Mighty is not the place to go. But if you’re just looking for something quick and tasty, head over! And if you’re a true fan, they sell t shirts there! So you can go back to your adopted town and show off how Buffalo you are!

Quickness of order 5⁄5 Friendliness of staff 5⁄5 consistancy of food being good at all hours of day and night 2⁄5 consistancy of food being good during the day(lunch rush) 4⁄5 consistancy of food being good at night(anytime after 5pm) 1⁄5 actually recieving what you ordered, how you ordered it after it was repeated to you at the drive thru speaker before recieving the order 3⁄5 I think that sums it up.

Am I the only one old enough to remember the original«Mighty Taco» on Baily Avenue? Back in the day(like the ‘70s…I am THAT old) after a night of hitting the bars in my undergraduate days«Mighty» was THE place to go at 4 am. There were no tables… the place was dirty… and the line went out the door. I think the menu consisted only of «Super Mighty’s» and«Beef and Cheese Burritos»… or maybe that was all any of us ever ordered. Now there are«Mighty Tacos» all over the place. And, they have a very complete menu(salads, fajitas, nachos… as well as the two old standards). And, each restaurant has lots of tables. It’s a family-friendly eatery now. Heck… they even have highchairs. Not that I have a problem with that kind of thing… I’ve got two children of my own. But(in my humble opinion) all of these improvements have caused a huge decline in the quality of the food. I ate here yesterday and ordered my old usual«Super Mighty, Hot». It was TOTALLYLACKLUSTER. The«meat» had no flavor… the cheese had no «goo factor»… there were just a few wilted shreds of lettuce… and it contained only two anemic tomato slivers. The whole thing came out only lukewarm. A sad, SAD burrito! And, where, oh where was my HOT sauce? The thing was so mild I could have ground it up and spoon-fed it to an infant. Once in a while«progress» just ain’t all that it’s cracked up to be!

Manky Taco more like. Personal Experience: This is close to Jim’s Steak Out which is wonderful. Unfortunately a lot of people go here instead. When I was recording my album in Amherst(the first one), my producer would want to go here for late night snacks. We did so maybe 3 times since it was sort of near my house and also the highway for him to go back to Batavia. He always loved it, I always hated it. I also noticed the service wasn’t very good. I never found one single thing on the menu I liked, and the ground beef is some of the worst tasting beef I’ve ever had in my mouth, not including any ex boyfriends. Chain info: There are lots of Buffalonians that know food, but those that tell you«if you are only in Buffalo one day, try Mighty Taco», or say«WNY has great food, for example, Mighty Taco», are not among them. They are what is affectionately known as delusional, and we would never be caught dead in the vicinity of Mighty Taco. I once heard someone on Unilocal describe fans of Mighty Taco as suffering from the food version of Stockholm Syndrome. That would be hilariously funny if it wasn’t so regrettably true. Every location of MT is busier than every local Buffalonian food joint I have ever reviewed, and also busier than most other fast food outlets too. That last point is not a bad thing since I don’t like national chains anyway, but the former is a tragedy. Buffalo DOES have some good Buffalo Tacos, in fact some amazing ones which have nothing to do with Mexican food, usually served by local Pizza/Wing joints or even bars… but Mighty Taco is one step below Taco Bell. Did you hear me? I said one step below Taco Bell. Yes. I know that seems impossible. Like a contradiction in terms. An oxymoron. But it’s true. I thought Taco Bell was the worst food on earth. Until I tried Mighty Taco. It is just… so… bad. Please, please, please stop associating this place with Buffalo. Buffalo has the best food of any small city in the USA… but Mighty Taco, along with Anchor Bar and Duff’s… is one big local embarrassment. The less famous places will rock your world. Read about some of them in my reviews :) Mighty Taco, you need to just go. K. Thx. Bye.

Yuck. I’m sorry, as much as I love Buffalo and consider myself a transplant, I cannot bring myself to like this. Most times I eat at Mighty, I end up feeling like I’ve licked a sidewalk, which I assume is the origin of their tagline«The taste of our city» Ewwww.

How can you say a bad thing about Mighty? I always get a super mighty-hot with sour cream. Sometimes do the combo and since they just got loganberry back to drink, well it’s a 5 out of 5. The food is quick and hot everytime. Mighty Taco is not real Mexican food at all-it’s Buffalo’s take on super quick yummy food. Get the combo for whatever you you eat– it will add chips and cheese and a drink. If you are ever in Buffalo, you need to try a super mighty once… you’ll understand my love of Mighty Taco…
