Mike A’s Lounge

I’m adding this as a listing because I feel that its a totally different place than Mike A’s Steakhouse. Even though they share a name.
This is in a different room, and not connected to, the Steakhouse. Its a bar by itself. And a nice one. The bartenders know their wines, which is terrific. They have some very nice by-​the-​glass options. Ive been with people who have mixed drinks and they have been happy, especially one who tried two different specialty cocktails they offer. Recently I have been here for drinks a number of times. There have been some people eating bar food, others having drinks at the bar, we have been at the tables for drinks.
The lighting is low but not too low, the noise level is fine. You can valet park, I’m not sure the fee, somehow we have landed great street parking each time.
I don’t spend a lot of time in bars unless there for food. However, each time I have been here I have been more impressed than the prior time. I am looking forward to going back soon. I may even try some food there.
So this is a destination in its own right, and hence deserving of its own listing in Unilocal.Its also deserving of a visit by others, just for the bar.
