Nice place, did not have a chance to check out the lunch area, just the deli area. Good selection of Easter European and Russian food.

So I drive by the Slavic Bazaar coming home from work all the time and the pig in a frying pan painted on the side of the building finally peaked my interest enough to stop in and check out what this place is all about. Come to find out it’s basically an Eastern European ethnic food store that also serves some food. They had all sorts of canned and packaged foods like cookies, jams, spices and some frozen things, of which they are famous for their pierogies. Then they also have a lunch menu that it seems my Ukrainian Grandma might have been back their making. Cabbage rolls with beef and rice, Potato Pancakes, Crepes with chopped meat, and Borscht were a few things on the menu. I’m sure if I tried some of the food this place would have gotten four or five stars, but only problem I had was that when I tried to order the cabbage roll and crêpe she said sorry she couldn’t do them. Not sure if this was because it was after lunch time or if they ran out but I was offered to have them cook up pierogi for me instead, I passed as I wasn’t in the mood for the pierogi. Will stop back to see how they are and maybe bump up their stars.
