Met friends here for an opening. Was very lack luster… not very memorable. No one even acknowledging or welcoming people. Just kind of walked in, walked around and walked out. Thought it would have been a better experience.

Sugar City — «A multipurpose space that’s available to anyone.» Event space is often precious and costly and is sometimes out of reach for many artists and musicians who want to be seen and heard. Sugar City — an approximate 3,000 square foot building on Niagara Street(across from Resurgence) makes artist and musician space affordable to everyone. Formerly located at Pausa Art House in Allentown, Sugar City has made a 3 year journey to this current location. What you can expect from Sugar City are ‘very’ reasonable rates for concerts, artist showcases, gallery showings, movie screenings and yes, even birthday parties if you like. It is an artist and musician playground with constantly changing colors and textures on concrete. For the creative — it is a place to breathe your craft with wonderful and affordable access to music and art. The building may always smell of fresh paint and acrylics and isn’t fancy or cookie-cutter commercial by any means. It is alcohol and drug free and is family and community friendly. You can even volunteer at Sugar City in exchange for available space on their calendar. As I mentioned — they are artist, musician and community friendly. If you need space for an event — check out Sugar City.
