Pckings are extremely small in this area of Main St. There is a legit fired brick oven and really good ingredients but effort is lacking in the assembly department. Sandwiches look and taste cursorily slapped together, which is sad because of the individual ingredients are really good but a sandwich lacks cohesion and balance. They don’t put enough veggies on, too many condiments(ask for them on the side) and barely toast the sub. Last sub I ordered had three slices of avacado, pickle and banana pepper — likely corporate being extremely parsimonious which makes me order here a lot less than I would. Pizza crust is thin, sauce is good, tons of toppings available(prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, basil, etc…) but once again, it isn’t always appropriately crispy and they are extremely parsimonious with the toppings. The cheap toppings(like onions) are the same price as meat and more premium ingredients which makes NO sense. I’ve paid extra for toppings multiple times(at .75 each, no matter what size the pizza) and literally received a pizza with four slices of mushrooms, three pieces of prosciutto and three banana pepper rings. Sides are awful, never get the Mac and Cheese. It’s more like grease and mush. Tomato basil soup is good but expensive for the tiny size and lets be honest, its hard to mess up tomato basil soup — except for serving it cold which also happens on occasion. Overall, the Brick Oven needs to get it together. The food is edible but could be so much better if there was just a little more effort put in towards consistency, presentation and quantity.

I have their pizza often. And though I still enjoy it very much, I feel they have taken a slight step backwards on their crust. It seems to be inconsistent depending on the locations and is more«crackery»(is that a word?) than it used to be. It would be nice if they went back to the crust that was thin with the right amount of chew and crisp.

Great pizzas, but the service couldn’t be slower. Someone needs to teach the counters staff how to set priorities and how to multitask.

Delta Sonics The Brick Oven. Normally do not order pizza but today I had a pizza sub. It was good. Normally get hand carved turkey sub with bacon. Delicious. Breads are always super fresh. Great ordering system too. Usually 7 – 10 min wait. Many options on self serve menu.

I thought I’d give this place a try as I live fairly close by. You need to place your order at a computer kiosk, pay for it at the cashier and then wait for it in the eating area — so for fast food it’s actually a long process. The options are very impressive and they have ingredients that are largely unheard of in Buffalo — like basil and goat cheese. I ordered the margherita pizza — specifically for this reason. When they called my number I noticed that the pizza was missing basil and asked why. The dude that made it said their basil didn’t look good so he decided to not add it. I asked if the cheese didn’t look good if he’d make it without cheese and he said that the«basil is optional». No, it’s not«optional» it’s like ordering a pepperoni pizza and getting a cheese pizza. I get that working at The Brick Oven probably sucks but the guy was unnecessarily rude and could have just given me some options before he made the pizza or offered to make a different one. Instead he made me a pizza with one of the key ingredients missing and acted like an ass when I complained. Overall the pizza crust is okay — it’s thin and not at all like the photos in the kiosk photos. It’s fairly cheap but probably not good value if you were sharing.

Went to get gas and was hungry, never tried the brick oven before and I have to say I enjoyed the wrap I got. I was hoping for something a little more spicy because I got the jalapeño ranch chicken wrap but it was a jalapeño wrap. Other than that the chicken had a honey esk taste to it while there was a good amount of ranch that did over power it. All in all if I ever want a quick wrap I know where to go.

You wanna hear something kind of embarrassing? I went to a gas station to get pizza just because I had a coupon for buy-one-slice-get-one-free. And you wanna hear something really weird? It turned out to be TERRIFIC pizza! The«Brick Oven» is right in the middle of the«Delta Sonic»… just to the right of the«Dunkin Donuts» and kind of across the aisle from the washer fluid. The view is… ummmmm… cars being filled with gas. But they serve salads and sandwiches and fresh baked pizza. Fresh baked BRICKOVEN pizza! The kind of pizza I would happily eat in a cute bistro while sipping a $ 10 glass of wine. The kind of pizza I would enjoy in a trendy setting after the theater. It’s THAT good! The crust has a slight char and just the right amount of «toothiness». The sauce is perfectly seasoned. The cheese is REAL and topped with slivers of basil. And the whole thing was fresh and hot and seasoned just right. They no longer serve slices(gasp!) but the nice guy working there gave me a personal-sized(8″) pie for free with the purchase of one with my coupon. For just over $ 4 I got two amazingly tasty cheese pizzas. I devoured one right there. The other I brought home to enjoy in front of the fire with a nice glass of wine. Who knew?

Bottom line: Pretty solid pizza and an absolutely amazing price. We stopped here on a hot summer day after an afternoon at the zoo, we were just browsing around Buffalo for a cheap place to eat that would be relatively quick. We were a little bit apprehensive about eating in a gas station, but once we walked in, we felt a little bit better. The restaurant side of the place looks really sharp, it’s very clean, not gas station-y at all. The ordering process is a little bit convoluted on some computers, but it works smoothly enough. It takes a little bit of time for the pizza to get made, but its because it’s actually cooked in a brick oven. The pizza itself was decent. Not the best pizza that I’ve ever had, but you certainly get a lot of pretty good tasting for for the $ 4 or $ 5 that it costs for a pizza. The dough was a little bit soggy with grease, but that’s probably because I got a pepperoni pizza and they used pretty cheap pepperoni, I might just stick with the cheese if I went back another time. My other half got the cheese and it looked great. Certainly worth a stop if you need something quick, easy, and cheap.

Let me just preface this by saying that I know and love two things in life more than anything… food and convenience. Happily, both food quality and convenience factor were both at an all time high today when I was at The Brick Oven located in Delta Sonic Car Wash on Main St. The service was perfect, the atmosphere was spotless, the food came out quickly, the cost was well below what I would have expected to have paid, and the food was the perfect temperature, not so piping hot that I had to wait ten minutes before I could bite into it. My wife and I had the Caprese pizza based on the recommendation of one of my co-workers, a man who swears he would take the food at Delta Sonic over the food at the Chop House when you take into account how you are in and out, you pay practically nothing, and it tastes superbly. The pizza was great. The presentation was great. I am hesitant to write such a glowing review in fear of others getting in on this well kept secret and the line going out the door! The staff seemed to understand that we had places to be and wanted a hassle-free, quick pizza. I thought of this as the kind of place to grab a fast bite while I get an oil change, but honestly, with this quality, price, and speed, I see myself popping in to get take out on nights neither myself or my wife want to cook. I write many food reviews, and I must say, this was maybe the most pleasantly surprised I have been in years. I think I paid about $ 5 for something one of these trendy restaurants would sell for $ 12! I love it. I’m sure you will too!
