A few weeks ago, I reached out to an old friend for advice. I was about to publish my new website but something was holding me back. There was more to be included, more to make available to my clients, but I was paralyzed by fear. Was I smart enough? Did I have the information? Could I do it? I had to phone-​a-​friend before I fell prey to these doubts.
Once on the phone, I explained the direction I wanted to pursue, grabbed my notebook with hopes she had even a sentence of help to offer. To my surprise, she sat on the line with me for an hour blessing me with her hard-​earned knowledge. She shared techniques, strategies, and ideas. I was so thankful for the nearly 5 pages of instructions she offered. I launched out with reclaimed confidence and strength. In typical Tip Jones fashion, I pulled the trigger on several of the plans without delay. But like most instructors, counselors, and teachers, I needed to sit in the seat of «student» first to prepare for my next level.
Life coach, consultant, businesswoman, mom, wife, gifted orator, my sister, my colleague, and my friend assisted in the transformation of The Consulting Studio and I am forever grateful.
