Ulta

Ulta is like an amusement park for women of all ages. From hair supplies to nail stuff to bath and body to makeup and perfume, anything beauty-​esque you could need, they have.
I enjoy that they have an array of brands, from the cheap end Maybelline/​NYC etc to the high end Urban Decay and Too Faced. Some people don’t need $ 40 dollar mascara, other people do. I like that they have stuff for everyone.
The only thing I don’t like is the beauty staff. I feel like they are just generally good looking people they hired who also wear a lot of makeup. I feel like if you want real makeup tips you should go to Sephora. They also always have coupons on Retail-​Me-​Not!

Love Ulta, I am a Platinum member and have been coming here since they opened. I was never a fan of any of their competitors so when they finally brought a location to Buffalo i was excited to see what it had to offer.
The staff is always friendly, i have had a few girls who seems a little bothered when asking for questions but nothing to the point where it has made me disappointed with the service.
I’ve witnessed a staff member handle an extremely rude customer in the past and she did a great job of doing so, polite and calm to the customer who was screaming at her because the line was so long.
If anything has ruined my experience its the rude customers that come in here.
I almost always chat with the ladies working when I am checking out and they are so social I love it! I ask them questions on what they use if I like what they have on makeup wise, normally I end up buying it because it looks so good on them. (It’s usually their mascara, my weakness)
Obviously i will continue to come back!

I had a slight problem with a broken cosmetic, John was absolutely amazing and so accommodating, he replaced the product and even threw in a free sample! They know how to treat their customers

The employees at this location aren’t very helpful. I go to ulta for all of my beauty products and every time I need help an employee is no where to be found. A few times I had to go out of my way to find someone to assist me with a few questions that I had. This location isn’t the best in terms of customer service.

At the ripe age of 26, I’m starting to try different make up. I’m really amateur at everything make up.
I came in here trying to find a few things. I searched and searched but there were no employees to help me. The main thing was finding foundation that matched my complexion. The only employees I saw were the 2 at the registers.
They should have someone just walking around asking people if they need help. I came at a pretty busy time and left a little let down.

Normally I love Ulta and have been coming here for years. However, today I was not greeted and asked if I needed help like I normally would be. After browsing for about 5 minutes waiting to be approached, I went up to the counter and asked for assistance. The sole cashier was swamped and told me another associate would come help me shortly. After I wandered around for 10 minutes waiting for said associate to approach me, which by the way she passed by me several times without a word, I left in frustration. The three stars are solely because every other experience I had there was great, however if I were to rate today’s experience it would be one star. Not sure if I will back…

I’m a big fan of Ulta because they are generous with store coupons, accept coupons from other make-​up brands, and have a lot of stuff to choose from.
I personally am a huge fan of the Ulta brand eye shadows and eye pencils. They have sales on their brand a couple times a year where eye pencils are $ 1 and shadows are $ 2. If I have a $ 3.50 off of $ 10 coupon, I stock up on the colors I prefer to use. During one of these sales (other brands are often buy one get one or other great deals), I spent $ 12 on over $ 50 of makeup because of all of the coupons I had. I love me a good sale!!!
They have a great variety of all beauty products. Hair dye, shampoo, hair products, blow dryers, straighteners, body washes, lotions, waxing products, hair barrettes, etc.
Ulta is like a mix between a Sephora and a drug store. They have the more expensive brands but they also have Rimmel and Maybelline.
If you are a beauty product junkie, you will love Ulta. And sign up for their rewards card. You get more coupons!
My only complaint is where the Ulta brand make up is located. Up by the registers, right where people line up to pay. It is not easy to access at all and you feel like you’re in the way! I hope management sees this and changes that display. It’s so hard to access.
