University Bookstore

The bookstore here at UB is plentiful. They have EVERYTHING. Any item you could possibly want with a UB logo, they have it, for a pretty steep price. This store will clean out your wallets. The school supplies are on average 50% more expensive than products found at Target, Walmart, Office Max etc. The only reason you should buy your supplies here is if you’re desperate on campus at the last minute or again, you want it printed with the UB logo. There are dressing rooms, Vera Bradley collections, dorm room décor, snacks, tons of different items to choose from. I just wish the prices were cheaper. Even their clearance rack is pricey! If you’re looking to represent the school your best bet would be to hit up the store in Student Union, much cheaper.

Okay my respect for the bookstore as a whole as increased because there now seem to be a lot of staff and the line goes surprisingly fast. BUT I have to keep it at 2 stars because of 2 things that really irk me
(1) the current postal worker is so achingly slow it makes my teeth hurt. it takes forever to send anything here. They also limit the number of packages you can send each day (to 3). She also always questions whether my media mail is actually media in kind of a mean way. Do I look dishonest? But they do have a post office so that is something. The counter now has longer hours (until 4pm) but you can only send outgoing mail until 2pm.
(2) they make you put your bags down at the front — even when the bag is your purse — even when your bag only contains important medical equipment — even when your bag is just helping you carry one box directly to the postal counter which is in their site the entire time — even when you are disabled and have trouble carrying things in your arms. I am pretty sure that several of these are against the ADA. I actually had to just turn around and leave one day because they wanted me to take my medical equipment from me.
