SAVETIMEANDUNNECESSARYSTRESS! Whenever possible, we do whatever we can to avoid excess traffic and parking issues. So, we definitely stay outside of the Perimeter whenever possible. Although my daughter’s Emory physician is in Atlanta, we requested to have her imaging services provided closer to home for convenience. We were given the option of Buford and since this is about 30 min away, we jumped on it. This move saved us about 2.5 hours of travel and«hang» time. Don’t be afraid to ask your doctor to transfer your imaging services closer to home because they are usually willing to do so. If you don’t ask, they will automatically have you scheduled at their primary campus or somewhere equally inconvenient, simply because they don’t know you have a preference if you don’t tell them. It doesn’t matter which facility you use because they are still able to access your records. This location is perfect because it is easily located on a major road, right on the corner of Gravel Springs and Buford Drive. It is a small, comfortable facility that has great, «at the door» free parking. I only noticed a staff of approximately three employees so it was quiet enough that you could actually read a book or get some work done. For the first hour, we were the only people there and then one other patient arrived. I couldn’t have dreamed of a better situation. It was perfect! The staff was very nice and everything flowed smoothly. If you are an Emory patient living in on the upper end of the Northern suburbs, you may want to consider Buford as a more convenient option for your imaging services.
