Last week(23rd) I went to Foot Locker to do the traditional school shopping thing. There was an ok selection of shoes to choose from so from that I chose a pair that unfortunately had to be ordered. I’ve ordered from Foot Locker once before w/o incidence so I didn’t think twice about having the items shipped to me. Three to five days for shipping didn’t seem to bad. The shoes would be here before school which would give me time to exchange if a problem were to arise. Trying to plan ahead. Flash forward to Friday(27th), my shoes have not arrived. I called the 800 # so that I can get some information just to be told that my shoes have not shipped yet. Excuse me? By now I’m upset because it is already difficult finding shoes when you get to sizes 12 and above. So I try to inquire to get more information on what happened just to be told again and again that the information is not available and that no one has any explanation. I do. You messed up. Own up to it and let’s find a solution. Later that evening I decide to try the 800 # again just for ish and giggles. Surprise, surprise. My shoes have left the store. That would be great if it meant they were on their way, but alas it’s late Friday and I think we all know that movement on the weekend doesn’t happen often. So I called again today(30th) «Oh yes ma’am you’re shoes were at the USPS distribution center on the 28th.» Meaning, they’re still basically where they started and not where they should have been after 5 days. Ok, well can you give me anymore information. No. Of coure not, it’s not available right. Right. I’m basically stuck, no empathy, no owning up to the mistake. No apologies. WOW. **Phone rings… it’s Foot Locker** I just got off the phone with someone from, what he says is the corporate office. See I just finished doing that nice little survey they have on the bottom of the receipt expressing my complete and utter discuss with them and their process. I completely understand that inventory varies from store to store and just because it was available when I ordered it doesn’t mean that it would be available when it comes time to ship. I get it. Things change. What I don’t get is how can you have all of my information yet not even try to send me an email letting me know that my order is being delayed. He was talking over me, not making excuses he keeps saying, yet he’s making excuses. You messed up. «I just wish there was something we could do.» You can… get my shoes here. Comp my shipping cost. That’s only 3 dollars. That’s not asking for much at all. I can’t get the merchandise I paid for so what else is there. So now I’m heading to the store to get the second pair, assuming I can even find something in the size I need somewhat close to home. The one time I don’t have my second selection already purchased is the one time something unexpected, yet avoidable happens. Update: 30 Jul 1459 My shoes were just delivered. Right style… WRONG size.
