I have been to over 10 comic books stores in Georgia and this is one of the two stores that made me feel welcomed. The older gentlemen that helped me was really helpful and friendly. I will definitely be returning back to this comic book store.

Great selection of comics and trades. They have a lot of toys and games as well. It sits off the road a bit(behind a car dealership), so make sure you know how to get there! Friendly staff! :)

My wife and I live in Athens, and we’ve been to game and comic shops all over the state of GA. We have two of our own game shops in town and two comic shops as well, but rarely are we able to find a store that caters to both my love of games and her love of comics. In that respect, Galactic Quest is as good as it gets. It is easily worth the 1+ hour drive from Athens, so if you’re closer than that, it’s a no brainer for all your trading card game, board game, collectible, and comic book/graphic novel needs. The times I’ve been, Sean, the manager, has gone above and beyond to make me feel welcome, answer my questions, and get me set up with the my new Weiss Schwarz addiction. My wife was able to find the 10th Doctor and TARDIS Funko Pop figures that she’s been searching for for years now. And we’ve barely scratched the surface of what Galactic Quest has to offer. For a clean, well organized shop that caters to ALL your geeky needs, with a knowledgeable and friendly staff, and game nights hosted weekly, you really should give Galactic Quest a look. Thanks, guys!

Galactic Quest is such a great store! The open layout feels spacious and there is awesome comic art to look at all over the walls. They have almost anything you could just wander in and want, and they will also get anything you need through their pull and hold. I have gotten variants from them that would have run over 20 dollars at Oxford, for less than 10 dollars at Galactic. They also sell toys, in which I hit the jackpot frequently and, once with a Coast to Coast toy still in the package for 50 dollars cheaper than it is going for online! Their back issues are well taken care of and they have a great little manga section where I have found things you never see in stores anymore! Also they carry a couple cool figures at all times, so be sure to look for those! The workers are friendly and reasonable on prices and they genuinely like talking about comics and even just. well anything in general! It’s always a pleasure to strike up conversation with them. If you’re in the area and like comics in any way, this store is a MUST.

Every time we come in, we’re met with a fantastic staff! Thanks to Shawn*, I have never seen his name written down, I have picked up some great series. He notes that I prefer collected editions and graphic novels to individual books, gives me extremely fair trades, and is genuinely fun to talk to and always keeps me up to date on my authors! He is just fantastic. He even lends a sympathetic ear when I come in all cranky because this store is my refuge. The selection is fantastic. The space is huge. Anything I want, within reason, can be ordered. LOVE this store!

A good, friendly, knowledgeable comic book shop is a rare thing. I started reading comics around the infamous Death of Superman(Superman vol. 2, #75) and luckily there was a great shop close by that would gladly let me burn my money on the mid-90’s over produced garbage comics i loved so much as well as inexpensive stuff from the 1970’s and 80’s that i really couldn’t appreciate at the time. Then around 2000 the closed up shop and so i quit buying and reading comics for a long long time. When i moved up to Suwanee last year i noticed something while out on a drive one night. A beacon in the darkness, over the hill from the Ace Hardware. One simple word that called to me… COMICS. The seed grew in my brain, could there be… no. Probably a mirage. I saw it again a few nights later, i though, how in the world do you get back there. I explored around that dark block until i finally found my answer and i’m very glad i did. So a year and hundreds, no wait, thousands of dollars later Galactic Quest as filled a void i didn’t know existed. Sean at Buford and Jamie in Lawrenceville have recommended some great titles and i’m slowly catching up on what i missed my 14 years hiatus. I’m not sure where this review was going, i’m starting to ramble. If you like comics, want to like comics, like games and toys, saw Avengers and want more of that, go to GC and buy stuff. They’re good people.
