Because I’m not exactly Bob Villa, I like going to Ace. I’ll admit that I’m a little special ed when it comes to home repairs and gardening, but I have good intentions. The folks at this ACE are friendly, extremely helpful and they don’t assume I know anything about anything. Which is perfect.
In my past visits, someone has always greeted me upon entering with solid eye contact, a great smile and an appropriate greeting («good morning»). They ask me what I’m trying to do (instead of what you’re looking for) and they walk me over to where I need to find it.
They have a good selection of everything except plants. They even have a nice selection of dirt (really, they do… top soil that is…). They also do a good amount of business with lawn mower tuneups and repairs.
C’mon, give the little guy a shot. Come here instead of Home Depot or Lowe’s.
