The food was pretty good for the price. But I have to say, the service that I got from Leah was excellent. People like her know what it means to give great customer service. As a manager myself of a team, I sure hope her leadership team know what a great person they have working for them. I would come back just due to how she is.

It was cold as hell. It’s weird to walk into a full style restaurant and it smells like generic smokey smell. Seated quickly. Sad to see they only carried Bud Light and Budweiser. Iced tea was good. Salad bar was generic but good. I was not at all impressed with the sides, mac and cheese, Beans were simple, and the fries were just fries. I shared the Sonny Platter with my girlfriend… Mediocrity was served up… I’m gonna be honest. All of the BBQ I’ve had up North was way better Ha to get my Mac and Cheese Microwaved in order to bring the temperature up. I give it 2 stars because the food was edible and nothing I saw was nasty, unlike other places. You all need to be more selective with hiring people at this specific location.

I have left this restaurant on two previous occasions without service and vowed to never return but I saw a special on tax day that caught my eye. I went into the restaurant was seated. two other couples subsequently came into the same section and were seated, orders taken and served drinks. still no waiter,. he finally appears and engages in a conversation with an older couple that had already been served two tables down.. I found out what the waiters previous profession was, how long he had sold cars, how he wasn’t suited for it etc. then the customer took out his wallet and started showing pictures to the waiter. he was oblivious to the fact that I existed. I left for the 3^rd time in less than 6 months. LOOKING AT OTHER REVIEWS THIS IS SYSTEMATIC FOR THIS RESTAURANT. IT IS POORLY MANAGED. NEVER AGAIN. I AM SURE THE RESPONSE WILL BE THANKS FOR THE FEEDBACK BUT YOURE CRAZY IF YOU THINK WE WILL DO BETTER.

Great food and fast friendly service. Sonny’s has always been a favorite place for us to eat. They offer great food at a reasonable price and the service is always fast and friendly. This trip one of our orders wasn’t right, but it was corrected and back at our table in 2 mins.

Walked in and was seated with no wait on a Sunday after church. Husband and I ordered competition ribs and smoked wings, with fries and beans to share. Ribs were so dry, they were barely edible. Smoked Wings were soggy, mushy and with no smoke flavor. Beans tasted like cardboard. The table and sauce bottles were disgustingly sticky. I enjoyed the Texas Toast and French fries. There was a woman cleaning booths and sweeping, rolling silverware with a cigarette tucked behind her ear. Very unprofessional. We hadn’t been to Sonny’s in ten years, and we won’t be back.

My husband and I along with another couple came in after church around 12:30 for lunch. We come quite often after church. We were seated and our orders were taken.
3 of us ordered the salad bar.
2 ordered pulled pork sandwiches
1 ordered a pulled chicken sandwich with fries
We went to get salad and I had to ask for lettuce. We waited for it.
We ate our salad, finished it. And waited for our food.
Waited around 30 minutes for our sandwiches and 1 fry. They said it would be a few minutes. We asked to talk to the manager and he said our ticket was lost. And we’re then told they were slammed. What… hardly no one there.
Does it take 30 minutes to put pulled chicken and pork on bread?
Needless to say, all of us left.

DO NOT Ever Order Take Out!!! Worse experience ever !!! I called and order dinner for family and when I got there after a long drive and starving they told me the manager decided not to put the order in cuz they had cases where ppl didn’t show up! What the crap — you take my order and refuse to make it for me !!! So pissed !!!

Worst brisket ever. Bone dry.
Requested chopped on a bun got sliced on toast cold.
Wait time 15 minutes on a slow day Maybe 8 people in the restaurant.
All I got was im Sorry no request for an exchange on the wrong order.

Terrible last 4 times I’ve been through the drive threw they have messed up my order. This time I was the only car asked for a sliced pork sandwich with original bbq sauce and a jumbo unsweetened tea. Received a PULLED pork sandwich with SWEET bbq sauce and a LARGE SWEETENED tea. I will never return to this location again!

Slow service but friendly. Very little smoke flavor — all in all average and ordinary. If you just want food without cooking this is passable. Not on my go to list with anticipation — just hungry and it can be healthy so stop in. I liked my server but she would disappear somewhere. A 2 is good and 2.5 would be generous.

The service was slow. Impolite. And not consistent. The food was delicious. But stone cold. Which dropped the restaurant a star in my book. The restaurant is very clean and for the all you can eat items… 13 – 14 is not a bad deal. Try their sliced pork next time you go. Just ask them to heat it up first. Probably won’t go again.

I know my taste in barbecue is very downmarket, so I normally love a Sonny’s. Unfortunately, this location was a huge miss.
We walked in, were seated a a table that hadn’t been wiped after the previous guests and when we asked the host to wipe it, she set our place settings down on the dirty table before going to get a cloth!
I went to the restroom and it was in shambles. Broken dispensers, filthy floor, wet, dirty counter. As soon as I left the restroom I took a good look at the area around our table… You guessed it, grungy floors, kids who had kicked their flip flops off at their tables and were eating barefoot, just gross. Appetites lost, we left without ordering.
This location really lets them down.

Food was actually pretty good. We were all enjoying lunch yesterday until my wife found a piece of used rubber glove in her chopped beef brisket! Needless to say, we told our server however this must be normal because it seems to not be that big if a deal. A manager never came over and we were still expected to pay for it even though we all haunted eating at that point.
Check your food before you put it in your mouth!

Sonny’s is my go to for BBQ! I get the Big Deal Combo a pulled pork sandwich on a bun, with a baked potato and their famous corn nuggets! How they make the corn nuggets I will never know but they are probably the best side ever invented! The BBQ is sweet enough to eat without sauce but I always drizzle their sweet sauce on every bite. The baked potatoes however, are pretty plain but I love to dress them up once I’m at home with cheese and bacon bits. I usually go through the drive thru here but I have eaten in the restaurant once and had a very pleasant experience. The service is always friendly it usually takes a few minutes for them to prepare your food and the person at the window usually keeps me company while I wait. The portion sizes are perfect for me I usually finish most of my meal every time I eat here. If you’re looking for delicious BBQ definitely check out Sonny’s!

Was visiting family in GA, and ended up here for lunch one day.
Had the pulled beef on a toasted bun. Very, very good! It was tender and had a good taste. The bun was soft. Altogether it was just an explosion of good taste and textures that blended perfectly.
Also, the cups they use for their water drinks were enormous. Bravo.

Steady supply of typical chain bar-b q. It ain’t the best bar-b q but it will do in a pinch. Pulled pork and chicken are good. Baby back ribs are very good also. This location is clean and the staff are friendly. I have always had good service here. The atmosphere is very laid back. Good place to pig out. «pun intended»
