Anderson Aviation

In our search for a flight school, we came upon Anderson Aviation in Bulverde, Texas just on the edge of the Texas Hill Country.
Located in a picturesque landscape, this quaint country airport serves the community well.
We were greeted by Luis, who was thorough in his explanation of what Anderson Aviation could offer.
Friendly, new planes, reasonable prices.

I took the discovery flight this past saturday (08/​06/​2011) and I got to say, it was fantastic. My husband had gotten me the groupon for my birthday and I thought he was out of his mind. When we got there I was really nervous about «flying» the plane. I am used to others piloting it and I jump out of it (yes, I been skydiving before). Anyway, The instructor was assuring that all was going to be fine. I got to see how they fuel the plane as well as the preflight inspection and helped with the incabin flight preparation. Once we got off the ground, i was given the controls and from there it was awesome. i didnt know flying was that easy (even though the pilot controlled the flaps, throttle etc). I calmed down and really enjoyed the flight. too bad it had to end. Gonna got again one of these days. My daughter, who is 11, wants to try it too. Awesome folks.

I just completed my Discovery Flight (06-​07-​2011) My wife got me the groupon for my birthday. The folks at Anderson Aviation are wonderful. It is a family owned business that is on the grow. Dana Anderson was very prompt at returning my phone calls. I had to reschedule a couple of times due to weather and she was very helpful. My instructor pilot Jaime Pujol was excellent. He gave me a preflight briefing as well as going over the preflight of the aircraft. We utilized a checklist as we prepared to start the aircraft engine and again prior to takeoff. Except for the takeoff and landing Jaime let me fly the aircraft. We took a flight out over Canyon Lake. The entire way Jaime continued to give instruction on flying by pilotage. Headsets were provided which made communication very easy. Upon landing Jaime gave me a post flight briefing. It was a wonderful day. If you are thinking about leaning to fly give Anderson Aviation a try.
