Good food. Burgers are the best thing on the menu. They have various types of ice cream desserts also. I just wish the ownership would quit changing so often because it seems like the way the food is made and tastes changes along with it.

Service and food quality on the decline this year for some reason. I still do enjoy the food but some are not tasting like they used to and smaller portions. Great ice cream choices, however! Call ahead or be prepared for very long wait times. The ordering system seems a little confusing. Nobody seems to know if you are waiting for food that you already ordered, or if you need to still place an order. A few kinks in the system but overall I still enjoy going here for the most part.

Every year my family always looks forward to Village Drive Inn opening and getting a chance to enjoy a great burger this year I am not happy I have gone twice now and each time the food was awful our burgers were dry and tasteless and the hot wings looked like burnt charcoal. We will not be back this year and possibly not next year either.

Open seasonally during the summer they have awesome food and a reasonable price. We like going there for a burger and fries or ice cream. You can eat in your car, at the outdoor picnic tables or inside at the counter. Just a really cool small town burger joint that does it right.

Stopped in here on the way back to Edwardsville with my parents, nice little food and ice cream stand. Got BBQ Pulled Pork sandwich and Mom got a burger. She said they are«real» burgers, grilled and look patted out. Pulled pork was tasty. Curly fries were good. Dad said this place is open seasonally. They have ice cream and all kinds of different things you can get on signs stuck to their windows. Pretty big selection of food, the kind you’d think at a food stand though they have salads too, and ice cream. Good experience with just my one trip. Will have to get a shake or malt or float next time. Pikes Peak, wonder what that is. They have concretes too. Menu says call for carry out.

VDI, as the locals call it, enjoy the ice cream and summer treats. It’s open in early spring and closes as Fall appears. However most evenings you can find ball teams and families congregate in the parking lot. There are several tables outside and even 4 stools inside to avoid mosquitoes. They do serve burgers, fries, mushrooms, and other fare. For a small town establishment, this is a slice of Americana.
