Small, unprepossessing, and perfect. Married chef-owner and hostess-owner and their staff members are cheerful, welcoming and seem delighted with each other as well as with their guests. The chef is eager to spend time with you to determine exactly what you like and to make enthusiastic recommendations. And the food… squisito. I had veal scallopini with mushrooms and grape tomatoes in gorgonzola cream sauce. Ada had Chilean sea bass with capers and artichokes in a light sauce. Both came with tagliatelle and roasted vegetables. All ingredients were fresh; the pasta freshly made and cooked to perfection. My veal was tender and flavorful and the sauce was so delicious that I spent a few happy, busy minutes at the end chasing down every drop of it with the delicate garlic bread provided. I don’t usually go for cream sauces, but this one was heavenly. No kidding. And at the end of the meal, Ada said to the chef, «I’ve been eating fish all my life, and that was the best fish I’ve ever eaten.» If you’re anywhere near Palm Coast, Florida, and you don’t try this place, then no offense intended, but you’re a damned fool. :-)

My GF brought me here for a surprise birthday diner because she knows I love Italian food and it was highly recommended by some friends. We couldn’t have been more disappointed. This tiny restaurant is in a rundown strip mall. The dining area is so small that you are back to back with other patrons. The staff was extremely rude to us. When we ordered beer the waiter basically laughed and turned his nose up at us. After eating a flavorless seafood appetizer the waitress picked up our plates, then returned just to say«I guess your going to keep all of the silverware» and then laugh as she walked away. Our entrees were good but the service and atmosphere will keep me from ever coming back. One appetizer, two entrees and two beers = $ 125 pre tip

Tonight was the second experience at Osteria. The lows: this restaurant is in a very small, somewhat confining space in a dingy strip mall. It wasn’t easy to make a reservation & the service is slow and it was clear… if you are a regular you’re just going to get better, more friendly service. The food was excellent — I sampled appetizers(mainly salads), dishes pasta, fish, & chicken — a little heavy on butter and salt, but overall excellent. The deserts are to die for & I would rate this restaurant higher, if the space and slow service were better.

My mom lives in Palm Coast and comes here often. I see why. Food was delicious, service friendly and prompt. It family owned and run. They take pride in their food. It’s very small, about a dozen tables, so it can be a little noisy but that’s my only negative.

For decent Italian food and service in Flagler County, this place is the only game in town. Which is also why they can get away with charging Manhattan prices while paying low-end, strip mall rent in Bunnell. Reservations are essential, especially during snowbird season. One thing to note, we took a big group here during the holidays and were disappointed to find that they were serving a ‘limited’ holiday menu and jacked up their already inflated prices by at least 30%(nearly $ 40/plate), and didn’t have the courtesy to mention this when scheduling the reservation. Not a good way to keep regulars coming back.

I have traveled and had very nice authentic meals on 3 different continents. This was a top 5 meal! The personal touch by the owner and his wife only added to the experience. Wonderful place!

Definitely the best restaurant in Palm coast. It’s a very small romantic place. I had the chicken piccata which was a little on the lemony side but still amazing.

This is very simular to a bistro in the North End of Boston. The food was to die for and the cliental was extremely curtious and customer orniented. The BEST for miles around for authentic Italian food. Reservations only but, worth the wait. You get what you pay for… We definitely will return for more.

Hands down the best authentic Italian restaurant in the area. You’d almost swear you where in Little Italy. The food is amazingly good and the service is spot on. It’s small so reservations are highly recommend. This is a must if you love real Italian food.

Amazing as always even after years of dining here… What I want to add is how the dining is extraordinarily great, expect home made pasta and pastries for example… Superb from start to finish.

Small strip mall surprise minutes off I 95. hosts a taste of Italy. Fully engaged owner-chef with Italian Venice pedigree made great recommendations. Daily special app was generous portion of grilled veggies, mozz, olives, and roasted peppers. Spicy mixto fruti mari(mixed shell fish over linguini) was exquisite. Generous wine pours added to wonderful eve.

This was a smaller intimate establishment where the servers, chef, and owners all come to the table greeting you, assisting in menu item selections and just making sure your overall experience is superb. Our table ordered: APPETIZERS: Cheese plater(great) Mussels, calamari, shrimp in tomatoes. –the calamari was not fried and very tender. The tomato based sauce was very savory and strong with garlic(which I love) ENTREE: Shrimp Risotto– the shrimp was very large and tender the risotto was in the perfect sauce and the texture was not too soft. Carbonara–(my husband orders this at every Italian restaurant) he raved that this was the best and far superior to any other carbonara. The noodles were made in house and perfect. Bronzino– This kosher salt crusted whole fish was loaded with flavor but not salty. They debone the flaky white fish after it’s been baked, right at the table. Drizzled with a lemon oil sauce. DESSERT: Panna Cotta– this blueberry drizzled custard was the perfect end to my perfect dinner. It was mildly sweet and pair with fresh fruits. Devine!!! Ricotta cheesecake– what a different spin on cheesecake(the only dessert my husband eats) the texture was similar to a New York cheesecake but a lot lighter. This was paired with figs and berries. Usually I don’t like cheesecake because how heavy it is but it was very enjoyable.

Fabulous Authentic Italian! Dinner there was superb! Enjoyed dishes we hadn’t had in this area since we moved here from New York years ago. My husband ordered the Veal Valdostana and I had the Veal Osso Bucco… Delicious!!! Small restaurant, you’ll need reservations. Friendly staff. Put this one on your list of MUSTS

5 stars for excellence in presentation, service, staff, cleanliness, food, wine and dessert. Note: Must make reservations 2 – 3 weeks in advance to have guaranteed seating. I want to start out by saying that out of all the Italian restaurants that my husband and I have ever been to in the United States, Osteria Rustica is by far the most authentic Italian food we have ever encountered. Our comparison is Italy itself as we travel there every two years. When you walk in the front door your invited in by a very friendly Italian who seats you at one of their 14 tables. Each table is covered with a white table cloth and napkins with a proper place setting. The room is very clean, open and airy. There’s a window that lets you look into the kitchen where you see the Italian chefs doing their magic. The name Osteria is named after one of the owners Floriano Osteria who is from Venise, Italy and his wife who’s from Columbia. The 3rd owner is Salvatore who’s from Naples, Italy. All three were present while we were their talking, laughing and sharing stories with us. I was there with my husband and his parents who live in Palm Coast and go there all the time. The food was so fabulous, absolutely stupendous! From the wine to the expresso, also the dessert is exceptional. You will absolutely love Osteria Rustica so make sure to check it out! By the way we were here in Palm Coast on vacation from Hawaii.

After stumbling on this Resturaunt over a year ago because of Unilocal,we have made several stops here going back and forth to see our daughter at school. Always had a great meal and a good time with this family run establishment. Our daughter graduated yesterday and timing was perfect to stop here for dinner. She loves Italian The family always remembers us and treats us like we are family. Fun conversation and amazing dishes. Our daughter truly enjoyed her graduation dinner. Thanks so much for the love you put into your business. It shows. Wish I were a local and and could eat there more.

The food was pretty good but it was really expensive. For the price I was expecting more. They really pour on the charm. White linen, wine list, etc. We didn’t get wine so I think they were sad. The meal was $ 100 without it so whatever. One thing is for sure, you won’t see any bums here.
