The best referrals come from friends. I asked around about replacing our 50 year old furnace and A/​C unit, and one friend mentioned Bob. The other reviews pretty much say what I have to say. I have a feeling there is something going unsaid by the guy who wrote that bad review. We’re not getting the whole story, because these guys are honest, straight-​up. Look no further, as they say.

Wow. Tom came out and checked out my old system. He explained what I needed to do and he fixed it. I got 3 other quotes and Cal Climate was right in the middle. I was blown away with the workmanship and honesty from this company. They are very busy in the summer time but they are really worth the wait. They only install top of the line products and really do a great install. I am a contractor myself and this workmanship is A+++. If you want a company to fix your heating and air check these guys out!

I really thought Cal Climate was going to be the solution to my A/​C problem. The initial visit by Bob Sauer was very professional. He quickly identified the problem, even recharged the unit at no cost knowing it was a temporary fix until the faulty part was replaced. He was to get back to me with an estimate in a couple of days. Well, it’s now almost 2 weeks later and the unit is blowing warm air again. No estimate has been submitted, no date has been set as to when the repair will be done. I have left 3 phone messages with no response. Considering this experience I am not able to share the enthusiasm of the previous 12 reviews. I would not recommended this this company to anyone.

These guys are cool! Pun intended. We were referred to Cal Climate by our well trusted contractor, Bill Eller. We have a 3-​story home that was quite a challenge for a full HVAC redo. The quote was reasonable, but more importantly, no mid-​project $$ surprises. They ran into a few challenges, but they solved them without complaint or extra charges. Tom & Bob (the owners) as well as Chris & Anthony are absolute professionals and very courteous. They don’t make a mess and were conscientious around the house. An example of their caring attitude– a neighbor’s trash bin had tipped over during the night and the guys cleaned it up on their own when they arrived in the am. The owners are hands on and were on the job every day. I highly recommend Cal Climate and the products they use.

Great, honest company. Been using them since 2012 for routine check-​ups. I’m sure many other companies would have tried to sell me things that I didn’t need, but Cal Climate doesn’t. They are also very professional.

What a gem! I was referred to Bob by a friend when my heater suddenly stopped working. When Bob arrived, it turned out that he does work for many of my neighbors and has been doing so for over 20+ years. He was very professional, personable, and had the unit up-​and-​running in no time. His charge was extremely modest. I’d highly recommend him. It’s hard to find an honest, skilled contractor.

I used Cal Climate about 3 weeks ago and they were a life saver. I had a problem with debris and was told by 2 different companies that i needed to replace the unit completely and that it would cost me $ 4600. Cal Climate came out, assessed the situation, told me to have the vents and unit cleaned and sanitized, they referred me to a vent company and then my unit was up and running again. there was no need for a new AC unit since mine was still in working condition. So I spent $ 500 versus $ 4600. They will now be my regular ac company.

My husband and I are so glad we called Cal Climate! Professional family run business. They were on time, knowledgable, friendly and honest! We had a brand new A/​C, furnace and brand new duct work installed. Reasonable prices, with the job done quickly. The whole experience couldn’t have been better. We have a house that is very hard to cool down on any day over 92 degrees. A/​C people would come over and then leave and not return our calls. But Cal Climate knew exactly what to do. Our house is toasty warm in the winter and cool as a cucumber in the summer! I appreciate their exceptional customer service!

I was referred to Cal climate by a neighbor that informed me that they have been in the market for over 50 years and they are very professional.
When I called the lady was very pleasant and she scheduled the technician to come a day and a half after I called. Since I didn’t have an emergency I didn’t mind about that.
The technician arrived on the scheduled date and he was a little late due to traffic (no complaints here) but he was nice enough to call to let me know. The technician was able to fix my central air conditioning in less than half a day and the price was very affordable. I was very happy he was able to find the real issue because I was told by another company that my unit was not repairable and that I needed a $ 6,000.00 unit. Cal climate was able to fix my old unit for less than $ 300.00. Definitely recommend these people!

About 10 years ago, the air conditioner in my computer room at work had a weird problem that nobody could figure out. Somehow, I got in touch with Bob Sauer at Cal Climate, and he came over to have a look. He figured out what was wrong and fixed it. And because of that, I figured that he knows what he’s doing, and I saved his card in case I ever needed work on my AC at home. Last week, it broke down. I called, and Bob came out. He remembered fixing my computer room air conditioner, and he diagnosed and fixed my home air conditioner in about 10 minutes. Like I said, he knows his stuff.

This place is a real gem.
Bob, the technician, is seriously brilliant, super polite, and a pleasure to have working in the house. It is rare to find a place that takes service (honesty, hard-​work, and efficiency) as seriously as Cal Climate.

Cal Climate is AWESOME! I called them for a second opinion. The first guy said my unit was so old and he needed to replace the entire furnace and it would cost $ 3,000. OR he said he would «try» to repair it IF he could find the parts but it would run me $ 1,700−2,000. Then I had Bob with Cal Climate come by and he repaired my unit that same day for $ 625. Bob is very honest, reliable, and trustworthy. He saved me a lot of money and I will most definitely be referring other customers to him.

Here’s why I like Cal Climate Corp:
1) They called to confirm our appointment.
2) The tech was on time.
3) The tech acted professionally: dressed neatly, put down a drop cloth to protect my floor, worked quickly, explained the situation in terms I easily understood. And everything works as promised! He even took time to explain how to program (and programmed) the high-​tech thermostat. In my book, this qualifies as superior customer service.
4. Turns out, the tech-​Bob Sauer-​is the founder’s son. Bob and his brother now run the business.

I’ve used Cal Climate for years after getting screwed again and again and wouldn’t even consider going elsewhere.
I’ve referred a pile of customers to them and they’ve all been happy as well.

I interviewed five different companies to fix the compressor on the rooftop. I was lucky to have a friend who does AC on the East Coast, and he told me how to discern whether or not I was being shaken down .
This was the only company that passed the test and didn’t try to scare me into doing a Lexus upgrade on a Honda Accord condo. Every one of the staff was a delight to work with and I look forward to recommending them to all of my neighbors.

Cal Climate has been around for 40 years and I think they are the best ac guys in the Los Angeles/​Burbank/​Glendale area. They were very knowledgeable about what I needed and saved me a lot of money (all the other ac companies wanted twice as much). Cal Climate was honest and did a great job (I like my home freezing at night)! One of the guys, Shaun Sauer, although young was particularly helpful in explaining exactly what was wrong with my unit and what I needed. I highly recommend Cal Climate.
