The 30 Minute drive is totally worth it I wont eat doughnuts from any other place but here. The blueberry is my favorite and the devils food with the nuts just amazing ! Highly recommend going later at night to get them warm and fresh ones the best!

Best crullers and cake donuts I’ve ever had. I’ve never tried their other types of donuts, so I can’t vouch for them, but the crullers(my favorite) and cake donuts are frickin’ amazing.

Coming to you with another one of my «FAB» Reviews. Since living on night shift adventures, I have pretty much become a nocturnal conoisseur of late night eats and with my limited amount of energy and waking hours, unfortunately, I am not Unilocaling like before. Nonetheless, hope to come back full force. After a my first night off in what felt like an eternity, a craving of Homer Simpson proportion hit me, thanks to Unilocal for answering the call for a hot, fresh early morning doughnut. Food: Warm, fresh and off the bakery tray at 2 am — honestly doughnuts aren’t even the first thing I crave or really want being on a low sugar kick but if you are going to have a doughnut at 2am come here, trust me. I didn’t even go for the french cruller nor had any idea what that was until reading the reviews. I went for my favorites: cake doughnuts and apple fritters and even though my inner trying to be healthy girl was crying on the inside everything tasted phenomenal so that sugary sweetness placated the tears. Honestly, I enjoyed one of the best apple fritters I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. So from my tasting menu Blueberry Cake Doughnut: great texture and smallish blueberry bursts of goodness Orange Cake Doughnut: unexpectedly real orange taste, might there actually be a bit of zest in the mix? Apple fritter: absolute favorite, warm, crunchy sweet with bits of real apple goodness to delight your palate Ambience: Doughnut hut with it’s vintage feel retains it’s old school charm a classic neon sign, a hut like storefront you can walk up to with a few parking spots at the back but loads of parking on Magnolia Blvd. Friendly staff and very willing to share any favourites with you. It is the kind of place I would definitely go at 3 am post a night of libations and chill and talk until the next destination or even at 3pm when there are no drinks involved and you just want a doughnut. Bottom Line: If you are going to eat a doughnut, eat a doughnut and eat it here.

CASHONLY! Just a heads up. ATM on the side of the shop however($ 2 service fee. Not bad) The woman was nice. She even threw in some free donut holes. I think for my troubles in having to go to the ATM. Menu could be better as everything isn’t listed up there. Kind of just told her I wanted a maple bacon donut in hopes they made it. :) Also not sure that it’s 24 hours as the signage on the glass states differently.

This is favorite donut spot! Fresh, warm, delicious chocolate old fashioned donuts made every Tuesday and Thursdays around 9PM. Warm freshly made donuts are the best.

Love Doughtnut Hut! Open 24/7…satistifes my donut craving anytime of day. They have their own private parking lot in the back, but street parking in the area isn’t hard to find either. I love that the donuts here aren’t too fancy dancy — they are your very traditional donuts at a great price.

Come here often! But the 2 new guys in the evening are charging more than what they should. Plus, one said to charge me more to the other in Spanish thinking I wouldn’t understand him. Wrong buddy!!! You can have that extra $ 2, you clearly need it. Jerk! Donuts are great though!

Their blueberry donuts are yummy! They’re just glazed & crispy enough on the outside and perfectly cakey and airy on the inside. The regular donuts are $ 1.10 each. This spot is open 24⁄7. There’s a lil parking lot behind the business, although it was full even at 11:15 in the evening on a Monday. I shared an old fashioned donut as wel but it wasn’t anything special. So, tasty donuts but nothing through the roof amazing.

All of the traditional donuts are sold here… buttermilks, old fashioneds, cinnamon rolls, twists, cakes, bars, maple, glazed, chocolate, donut holes, etc. And they all look fantastic in the huge glass window out front. Just looking at the range of donuts in the photo makes me want to head back, and since they’re open 24-hours a day, I can. One of the few distinct donuts they sell is the Chocolate Filled Powdered Donut. It was REALLYGOOD! The chocolate cream was plentiful and it wasn’t too sweet. The Chocolate Buttermilk was frosted perfectly and had the right thickness.

I can only review the bagel sandwich I had here one time. I’m a HUGE donut lover but I was probably trying to cut back on sugar at the time I went because I didn’t have a single donut at all. Believe, that’s not like me cuz I love my donuts. Its a small hut but they do have a few seats and tables on the side. They had a few sandwiches so I ordered the ham and cheese bagel sandwich. It was satisfying and a pretty good deal at $ 3.95 considering most places are charging more these days. It filled me up and gave me the energy for my songwriting class I was heading to up the street. I’d be more than happy to go back one day to grab a donut or two because they have a really good variety. Friendly owners and servers. Check them out!

I have finally gotten my sweet tooth fixed! I have been wanting to try this place for a while and I got a chance a dozen various goodies and they were ALL delicious! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the Cash Only option. Otherwise it was a wonderful sweet tooth fix!

So, I’m a serious donut expert; it comes from having a donut addiction. I thought I’d try this spot after seeing the rave reviews. The service was awesome. The guy working was super friendly and funny. The donuts, however, fell a bit short for me. I had a cinnamon glazed twist and a blueberry donut. They were just okay. Not bad, not great. Okay. If I were someone who didn’t eat donuts so often, I’d probably love this place… but I do.

I’m not even a donut fan but when I am craving one, this is my spot. Open 24 hours a day and something has always just been made fresh. Cash only, but the donuts are super affordable.

I love their blueberry doughnut and I love that they’re open 24 hours a day! I’ve tried a couple other doughnuts from them but the blueberry is still my favorite. Fast, polite service. $ 1/doughnut. I’m so glad this place is within walking distance for me!

(Dined 12÷16÷15 W @ 1:30pm): Deez nuts cost quite a bit more dough than I expected! Doughnut Hut has been on my radar for years mainly because of the cool outdoor signage that always caught my eyes as I drove down Magnolia Blvd. . One evening nearly a month earlier, a fellow fritter foodie fan and I had false hopes when we hiked a few blocks from a nearby«Flat» only to be told they were out; sacrilegious, right?! I was working in the area this hot afternoon and was determined not to be turned away this time. Was it worth a second trip!?: Apple Fritter($ 1.90) — Not that I was an apple fritter snob — fuck it… yes I was! — but there was a certain way I liked mine. First, the price was higher compared to most I’ve eaten. Second, it was nearly the size of the palm of my hand — not bad! Third, there weren’t enough apple bits in each bite. Fourth, the overall deep dark brown fried color was more burnt and overcooked, but the thick glaze was a plus, and it had many crunchy odd crannies, corners, and nooks I liked to break off into small little morsels. Fifth, it wasn’t fresh as it appeared to have been out for awhile, and no tiny oil pockets that exploded into your mouth and dripped down your throat. Needless to say, my expectations were dashed, and I left disappointed. [BOBAALERT — 2.5OF5.0STARS] Thai Iced Tea Boba — Small($ 2.50) — As I watched this being made, the first thing I noticed was the amount of large ice«cubes» that filled the entire cup; no bueno! The tea wasn’t overly sweet(pro), but it wasn’t cold(con). The boba themselves were good with a nice chewiness but not rubbery. The price, excessive ice, and temperature would keep me away from ordering this again. Service — A friendly young Asian fellow greeted me through the order window while possibly his mother worked in the back as she seemingly hummed a tune. I saw and selected the apple fritter as it boldly stared directly at me while my Thai iced tea boba took about five minutes to make. My cash payment was made, a cheerful«thank you» was given to me, and I was on my way to gorge myself. All was easy-peasy. Parking(Free) — I believed they had a tiny parking lot fit for only a few cars in the back. Otherwise, there was plenty of 2-hour street parking(effective 8am-6pm EXCEPT Sunday; read signs carefully for street cleaning and other exceptions) along the main drag of Magnolia Blvd. as well as the many surrounding side streets. Atmosphere, décor, ambience — Literally a hut trimmed in ‘SC Trojan cardinal and gold with one order window, you peered through the front glass windows at the assorted donut offerings… and there were many at this time of day . Up above, there was the menu price board for various drinks, donut and pastry options, simple croissant sandwiches, but not listed were potato chips and oddly enough I believe I saw lighters for sale! Fully enclosed in glass, natural lighting filled the place while at night it was fluorescent or streeting lighting that guided you to your sweet treat. Only seating were a couple tables on each side of the hut. There were no TVs nor any background music. Attire — Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. Overall, Doughnut Hut failed me on several counts from the prices to the quality. However, since I tend to be in the area, I would give them one final shot to up their apple fritter game. Obviously, I couldn’t speak about the slew of donuts they had since I was all about the apple fritter. But if I saw something covered in bacon I’d squeal for that! Plus, although listed as such, they are not open 24⁄7. I found decent value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above(TOTAL paid experience was around $ 4.00BEFORE tip). Cash only(there was an ATM inside), so of course they didn’t accepted my credit card of choice… AMEX! 2.5STARS

Originally was going to go to Krispy Kreme but the line was way too long. Found this doughnut joint on Unilocal and decided to give it a shot. To my surprise, the doughnut were really good! Perfect texture, flavors, and price. Service was also very good.

I’m not sure what people are rating this place off. The donuts are basic. Not the worst I’ve had but certainly not the best. I think ppl around here need to venture out and try something new bc I was definitely disappointed with the ratings. I can’t even say that the donuts were soft.

One of my favorite donut shops in all of Los Angeles. Whenever a list of «best donut shops» gets put together I’m always amazed Doughnut Hut is left off. Get their blueberry cake donut. When it’s served still warm out of the fryer it is life changing. Well, provided you like blueberries and donuts. Their old fashioned donuts are also great and a frequent«go to» for me. Actually I’ve never had a donut from here that I didn’t like. Doughnut Hut is always open and always fresh. For an added bonus the alleyway nearby has a sign that reads«Chuck Norris Rules.» Technically that has nothing to do with Doughnut Hut or their donuts, but I like knowing it’s there and I guarantee you’ll whip out your phone and used your glazed covered fingers to take a photo of that sign. I know I did!

I really don’t know how I haven’t reviewed Donut Hut yet. I love it, because it’s always open and rarely a long line(with the exception of national donut day.) The donuts are exactly what you expect — they’re good, they’re fresh, and they’re warm. You really can’t go wrong here. They’re not fancy overpriced gourmet donuts; they’re normal, and a few dollars. The downside is that this place is cash only — but plan ahead and you’ll be fine. I mean, come on, it’s a 24-hour donut shop. I can deal with the inconvenience of being cash only in exchange for the fact I can stop by when an 11pm craving hits. :)

It was National Donut Day so my awesome friend Joseph A., my little one, and I had to get some donuts! We wanted to avoid the long lines so he suggested going here. There was a line but we didn’t wait long. They also serve sandwiches and drinks. As we waited in line, we saw the chefs in action. They were frying and glazing the donuts. Oh the smell of fresh donuts, so good! ~Note: Cash Only :Dessert: I got the chocolate and maple bar. The donut was warm, fresh, crisp, and it had the perfect amount of sweetness. ( ) :Highlight: ~The donuts that I tasted was freshly made so when I took a bite, I melted; it was delicious! :Customer Service: Friendly :Rating: The donuts I tasted was literally just freshly made, I was«wow’d». I took the final bite the following morning and it was still pretty good. My 4 Star review is for the maple and chocolate donuts. :M’s Notes: ~Cash only ~Open 24⁄7 ~Outside seating ~Parking lot and street parking ~One dozen donuts $ 9.45

It was National Doughnut Day last Friday. With 150+ people in line and 20+ cars at the drive thru at the nearby Krispy Kreme, we decided to go to Doughnut Hut. The line was only 10 deep and you can smell the donuts from the parking lot. You can see donuts in the making at this family owned shop right thru the windows. They were making maple and chocolate bars right in front of our eyes. We ordered a few chocolate and maple bars, glazed, chocolate, and sprinkled donuts. I couldn’t wait and opened the box in the car. Been waiting a few months to find a good donut locally. I inhaled a maple bar in 9.86 seconds. Definitely a world record. It was the perfect donut. Still warm from the fryer with a good whopping slab of maple icing. Delicious… Time for a cholesterol check. Definitely get the maple bar.

I’m a sweet nut — and… Oh. Em. Gee. This place has the best donuts I’ve ever had in my life! Coming from NY, I’m skeptical about anything that has a «bread» aspect. But dang, I’d be lying if I didn’t say these are the best I’ve had! This trip consisted of a dozen donuts — pretty much one of each — with the exception of jelly, but it was a glazed jelly and a sugar coated jelly — both delicious. The doughnut part was moist and filling and tasty! And each of the topping or style were just right on point. Blueberry donut — killer Jelly — not too sweet and sticky like most places Sprinkles — forget it, the icing on these donuts that hold the sprinkles really made the impression! All in all, def check this«hut» out when you are in town — you will not be disappointed!

Donuts are $ 1 each, it’s open 24 hours and they have their own parking lot. They’re well made and light. Also, they’ll let you stand there as long as you want watching them make donuts.* *untested theory but probably true Oh, and Boyd Crowder is a fan:
