The two women who run the cash register are the WORST! They make their own customers clean the counter while they talk on their phones. The only reason why I have the strength to go back there is because the food is so good, or else those demon ladies would drive me right out the first day.

The cashier really could use some basic customer service training. It must be a language thing coz she will put the Soup Nazi to shame.

The cashier Asian women is very rude to her customers. Took her sweet time, had us waiting for awhile. Place has good food but overall that Asian girl needs to go or at least needs to be polite

I have to agree with everyone here — that woman behind the cash register is the worst example of customer service. I came with my spouse and no customers are there, it’s not a peak time. She’s straightening up the napkins and she doesn’t bother to stop to take our order, no surprise. Once she’s done, we pay for two orders for takeout and we take a modest amount, not filling our bowls to max. Still, she has to glare at me as I put my meat in the bowl. The choices are some of the most limited I’ve seen — no bok choy, no cilantro. Instead, three containers of broccoli. It’s not worth enduring this kind of ugly behavior, I’ll go to one of the many Chinese places instead. But the real question is – why would she want to keep this job if she hates it so much?

So my girlfriend says she hopes your business does well. Salty! No favor just the taste of salt from the BBQ sauce… the smallest bowls, try wide ones that may work better. Good price but the taste just killed me!!! 2 stars is the best I could do. Good luck!

I REALLY love their food. It’s amazing, but that’s because I really like spicy noodles and this is one of the only places in Burbank in which you can get something this good and this cheap. I see a lot of reviews about one of the cashiers, and I have to say I agree. I come here a lot, and not that she’s been rude to me, but I’ve seen her disrespect and abuse customers out of nowhere and for such little reason. Whether it’s over a small child accidentally dropping a dish or someone asking for a refill or a second bag for their food, she seems very selfish and abrasive. I’m usually quiet and I don’t make much conversation, nor do I correct people when they get my order wrong(not that it’s ever happened here), so maybe that’s why I’ve never had issues with her. Just be warned, it’s very easy to make her angry and she’ll turn around and make sure you know she’s angry then berate you in front of customers. If it gives you any idea, I come here usually once a week and see it almost every time. BUT the cooks and the other two cashiers are incredibly nice. One even remembers me and always asks about the things in my life and how i’m doing, she’s super friendly. I think the meaner lady owns it or something and that’s why no one says anything to her. The food is great, you can fill your bowl up till it’s over flowing, but the boss is really terrible. I’ve never seen bugs like some people claim to, I see them cleaning a lot(they usually clean towards 6pm and later because of lunch rushes) so that’s why the floor might be dirty. But it’s simply pieces of vegetable, not caked up dirt or roaches. Give it a chance if you like spicy food, chances are you’ll love it.

This review has been in my drafts for 3 months now. I get so angry when I come back to it that I just close it. Let me start off by saying I love the food & I always come back for the food only. I’ve been coming to this location since I was a little kid & the same woman has worked the cashier for EVER. Everyone has always complained about her but although she is always rude, she has never given me a hard time until today. So I ordered one bowl & a large drink for my cousin & I(the portions are huge) & to my surprise, a man was working the register that day. He was great. Super friendly, great customer service. He filled up my diet coke, closed the lid & put the drink on my tray. I filled up my bowl & while the cooks were preparing my food(the cooks are also super friendly), I picked up my drink and realized it was half full. I went back to the register, and the woman was back. I told her what happened & she just smiled and said, «Ok what do you want me to do?» in her broken English. I asked her to fill it to the top since the foam went down, so she did. With attitude. But she did it until about 80%. I went back to the grill to watch my food be cooked, and the man who previously helped me was standing there & he took my drink & offered to fill it up for me to the top since he remembered it was a cup of foam. As he was walking away I was saying, «No it’s okay the woman in the front filled it up for me,» but I guess he didn’t hear. I then watched from the end of the line as she put her hand in front of the cup preventing him from filling it & yelling at her employee while helping a customer. After yelling at him, she came and yelled at ME. She was saying stuff like, «I ALREADYFILLEDYOURCUP. YOUALREADYGOT A FREEREFILLITSNOTFREE,» and I was replying saying, «He took my cup, I didn’t ask him for a refill,» & she looks at her cook & shes like, «She already got her refill she’s trying to get more drink,» and she’s laughing at me. RIGHTINFRONTOFME& that’s what pissed me the fuck off. I’m right here. Why are you talking about me to your employee? The employee seemed embarrassed of her. I got mad at her for that & she said, «You know what it’s ok.» And she kept repeating how it’s ok as I was trying to speak as if I was the one who did something wrong. Are you kidding me? You’re fighting me for 20¢ of Mountain Dew. Throughout all of this, she has a line of about 5 customers & one in the middle of a transaction, but it was more important to her to come harass me in front of the entire food court. The rest of the staff is amazing except for this satanic creature. Food is also a 10⁄10.

Still love the food. But, now, I knew what other low rated reviews were talking about. It was the OTHER lady they were always talked about. Whenever I visited, it was the DIFFERENT lady instead of lady those reviews were talked. The other lady, is quite friendly, although she could be misunderstood because of her lacking of English conversation skills. But, if you are used to those kind of foreigners, you’ll understand of her. BUTTHEOTHERLADY. I had met her for a first time after I have been enjoyed this place like 8 times… I finally met her and it was frustrating moment. I finally knew what all Unilocal reviewers for this place were frustrated about. I felt it too. It was just HERWHOLEBEING-NESS. Her face, her attitudes, her speaking tone, her choice of words, her services, etc. were all RUDE and BAD towards customers. I don’t even know why they even still has her instead of other lady who is very nice and friendly. The other lady even helps little kid who did not know how to gather meats well for his bowl –he was with his mother behind him– and helped the kid by giving a little tip(you have put lots of meat, then use the one of tissue they had given to the customer to press the meats all down to be get flatten, it was life saving tip for me who enjoys to coming back for this place). So, yeah. I met her and think they need to get rid of her. Because other than her, I think other lady is working very fine. Also another problem I always thought it was a bit problematic was– the cleanness for this place is not that great. You’ll know if you have visit the place that what I meant for. All foods, the dropped from the grill piles up down the floor, also putting sauce into the bowl, I see employers dropping some meats, vegetables into the sauce but seems not care about it. More things to speak about, I am not liking of eating turkey or chicken, I only choose beef for Mongolian grill, but most of time when they put my stuffs onto the grill while other people’s bowls are too, it gets a bit mixed up. Sometimes I even find chickens in my bowl, or cilantro in my plate after they done cooking. I do not like the scent and smell of cilantro, so that was a bit downhill for me. But I understand about mix problem since this is not like expensive restaurant you be so picky about. Think of that, you need to kinda understand about your food is getting mixed up. But, cleanness is different thing. It can be directly cause health problem(or maybe yes for mix problems too, if you have allergies for certain vegetables, or meats.). Other than that, I still like this place. But, I would go to some other shopping mall’s Mongolian grills if I have a choice.

As many have stated, do NOT support this business(unless you enjoy bugs/baby roaches/and whatever other insects they have hiding in their toppings). I wish I would have read the reviews before coming here. ***I will also be contacting the Health Department to pay this grouchy lady a surprise visit to keep her miserable ass company as well as further investigate this place so if she happens to read this, «hiiiii and you’re welcome!».*** There is obviously only one star because you can’t leave negative stars but if I had to find a positive worthy of the star, it would be for the poor guys who have to work under this demon of a woman as I cannot even imagine working with(and ESP not for) her. The first time we came here was about two-three weeks ago and 30 minutes before they closed. The lady walked away but we were hungry(and I LOVE Mongolian food) so we waited in line. As soon as she saw customers, she came running and even jumped through the counter where the food is cooked. As soon as she receives payment, she«shoos» you and motions for you to start moving. I asked her for hot sauce(because they’re cheap as f*ck and hide their one bottle of hot sauce to ensure you can’t have a drop unless they’ve got your money lol) and she let out a loud growl and told me she had to help the other customers first because she has to count the money and close the register. I was in disbelief but I told myself that maybe she had a rough day(not that that makes your crappy attitude an excuse). That was about two weeks ago. I came here again yesterday with hopes of a better experience but nope. It was horrible. I came during lunch time so she definitely was in a hurry and didn’t care about customer service(not that she knows what that is). I pay and she gives me a bowl. I asked if I could have a fork and she barked, «there are other customers! I give later!» I said«it’s in your hands so it only makes sense to give it now». She handed me a fork and mumbled angrily. I then looked her in the eye and said«this is my second time here and both times you have been extremely rude over petty stuff.» She looked at me and literally said«oh well.» I then hear her telling the customers behind me that she doesn’t know why I was so rude! Okay, I’ll let her because I know karma will get to her. The customers behind me said«it’s okay. It happens.» I go and fill my bowl and start putting the toppings. When I get to the veggies, I thought I saw little specks moving but I figured they were nothing. I keep moving my tray along and slap cilantro on top of my bowl. This time I swear I saw little black things move. I step back and grab a little bit of the cilantro that was on my bowl. Sure enough, a baby roach was taking a nap. I quickly took my camera and took a picture. She immediately rushed over and I held out the cilantro and asked if she knew she had extra toppings. She rudely grabbed the cilantro trying to keep the other customers from seeing it. NOAPOLOGIES. In fact, she just became more rude and obviously upset that I found a roach. They cook my food and as I am walking away, I turn to the customers that were behind me and apologize if I came off rude and made them uncomfortable. They said she was extremely rude to them too. I told them its unprofessional and disgusting how she just grabbed the cilantro from me. They all said, «we saw that. Why did she do that?!» I showed them the pictures. I then walked back and asked for a refund. She didn’t even ask why. She knew I had found something because she has the cilantro laid out by the cash register and started to say, «you know that’s how some vegetables are and in Arizona it’s normal because it’s hot.» Excuse me, did you just try to justify why you have baby roaches napping in the food you’re selling and compared it to Arizona?! I calmly but sternly said, «you know on top of your poor attitude, I find bugs and you never once offered so much as an apology so I’d much rather not do business with people like you.» Because there was a crowd behind me, she forced«then I sorry to you». I told her i did not need a fake apology. She then asked me to sign my receipt to show a refund has taken place(although looking back I knew she just wanted to get it out of my hand). She gave me TWOPENNIES more than what I had originally paid and said«I give you more money». I giggled at her lame attempt and returned her pennies and told her she obviously needs it more than I do. Sorry lady but trying to literally bribe me with two pennies will not make me forget the shitty experiences I’ve had with you. By the way, people behind me also advised they will be contacting the health department as they saw the baby roaches. Good luck if you eat at this place!

The men(aside from one that is usually in the back) are very nice and friendly. The food is decent but lord, the cashier is the worst. Not friendly at all. Then she watches you like a hawk as you are trying to put stuff in the bowl. Excuse YOU, but I paid for this food and if I want to pile it mountain high I can do that! The portions are good after the noodles so I can’t really complain.

DONOTSUPPORTTHISBUSINESS. I REPEAT, DONOTSUPPORTTHISBUSINESS. Oh man oh man, where do I even begin!!! If I could give this NOSTARS I would!!! They deserve negative 5,000 stars! I am so heated and pissed off! I hope the owners read this, oh wait can they even read and speak English fluently? I think NOT. Since they bark orders at you. «TRAY! ONE? DRINK?» Literally the Asian(looks Korean) lady never speaks in full sentences. I want her a$$ deported immediately! Ok sorry maybe that was a bit harsh. Let’s just start with my visit there with my cousin. So my cousin and I wanted to grab lunch there after shopping. He ordered first then I ordered. He ordered a drink then accidentally spilled it and the lid came off. Yeah, ok, people make accidents, we’re not perfect. The very first thing that the Asian lady does is roll her eyes and immediately she is in a bad mood. My cousin was trying to clean it up but then she quickly yelled at him and I mean yell, «NO! NO! NO! DONTTOUCHIT! YOUMAKEBIGGERMESS! DONTTOUCH! GETNUH-DAHTRAY!» Then she had the audacity to tell my cousin to go get the janitor to clean up the mess on the floor. So my cousin went and did that. I would have told her to get him herself. Did she replace the drink? NO. Did he get a refund? NO. Was he treated like sh*t? YES. The only thing she’s good at is rolling her eyes. Then we went on in the line. And we went back to the register where the lady was to ask for chopsticks. My cousin said«can I have some chopsticks?» She gave him one. Mind you that I was standing right next to him. Then I asked«uh can I have one too please…» She blew her lid and was like«YOUASKFO2CHOPSTIKFIRST! I DONTUNDERSTANDYOUASKFOONE! NEXTTIMEYOUSAYTWO!» Yes, she did not make any sense, and… Yes, she was still rolling her eyes, giving us dirty looks. This whole time I wanted to just throw my cousins empty drink, and our chopsticks at her pale, white, Botox injected, annoying face. But I couldn’t. I had to be professional so I just gave her a dirty smirk and left. She had SO much attitude and ugh!!! I’m so enraged! We didn’t want to eat inside because we didn’t want to see her annoying face while we ate so we went outside on the patio. But did we eat in peace? HA. NO. Right when we sat down this other Korean lady came up to us and said«Did that lady say anything about me? I come here everyday. I don’t wanna get in trouble. I’m already in trouble. If you don’t finish can you give me your food?» I was so confused, nothing this Korean lady is saying makes sense. At first I thought she had something to do with Mongolian grill but I guess she’s just begging for food… Idk. So I told her, «I am going to save the rest for later» because I was gonna take it to work for lunch later. Then she said ok. So I took a couple bites because we were in a hurry. Then closed the lid and literally, not joking, LITERALLY2 seconds right after I closed the lid she pops up on the other end of the table scaring the crap outta me, she’s like«are you going to finish that?» In an annoyed voice, I said«…YES!» Then she got the memo and backed off saying sorry. Side note: she did not look homeless, she looked normal and was properly clothed. Not to be racist but since when do you ever see a homeless old Korean lady roaming the streets of Burbank? I feel like she was a set up or something but idk I just had enough and could not eat in peace. She was staring at me the WHOLETIME I WASEATING. I just wanted to eat in peace!!! BEWAREEATINGINTHEFOODCOURT, FOR A SMALLOLDKOREANLADYWILLBEGYOUFORLEFTOVERS. DONOTSUPPORTTHISBUSINESSUNLESSYOUWANTTOBETREATEDLIKEANASHAMED5 yr old and that Korean lady is your scolding mother. SHUTTHISPLACEDOWN! She has no right to even run a business let alone talk to people. She should never be allowed to talk to people. Yeah, yeah, she has an A for health inspection. But customer service!!! If you can go anywhere lower than an F, F minus!!! There really should be a customer service inspector besides the regular health inspector. She has NORESPECT for people. I am done. No, wait I’m not done. One more thing, she was on her cell phone in front of guests! That is so unprofessional! She is so careless. Ugh ok. Now I am done.

Most of the complaints on here are about the lady at the register. And YES I do admit she does scare me a bit. Although for some reason she likes my mom so whenever I come with my mom I have no problem haha! I also noticed a lot of people complain about the«rules» for filling the bowl(no food on the tray will be cooked). I obey all the rules they have and when they are finished cooking it, my to-go tray is FULL! Sometimes I’ll even have leftovers. It’s about 8 bucks per person. I think it’s totally worth it! It’s really yummy :)

If you ever go to Burbank mall for some fast shopping and fast food to go this is the only place I would recommend to eat. Mongolian Food is one of my favorite foods of all time! However, if your looking for authentic Mongolian food this is not the place. With that said for a fast food place it is good enough to earn a four star. The place is clean, but the employees are not that friendly if you pack your little plate too much. My Manager at my privies job showed me how to pack the plate really high and according to him this is a tradition. So I can pack my plate about one foot high, and this scars the workers. The meat is kept frozen and i’m not really a fan of frozen food. So I go strait of the vegetables, and make my self a Veggie Mongolian dish. The taste is good, but the food is really hot, I mean really hot! I personally like spicy food, and they ask if you like mild of hot so I asked for hot. I had to wait for the food to cool off and when I was done with 1⁄3 of the food my mouth was numb from the spice and I just gave up on it. Next time mild it is.

Whats the big deal if I overload the plate and some spills over and stays on the tray… cook the whole thing! I used to love this place, and to be reprimanded by the cashier? that insisted for me to restock my plate to make everything fit on it? Why embarrassing a client in front of other patrons??? I counted 9 patrons with smaller amounts on their plates then me… so if one overloads it… let it be. Perhaps the owner can have a chat with with the cashier to ease the whip.

Mongolian Grill is delicious! It is fairly priced since you get A LOT of food. As for the service it seems like a lot of people are talking about some«demon lady». I have never had bad service here. The woman at the counter is always friendly enough with me. The guys who do the grilling are also very nice. When it comes to adding all your meat and veggies to your bowl add as much as you possibly can cause it will shrink down A LOT once its grilled up. I usually fill up my bowl with meat and then squish down in order to pile up my veggies(I like to add a big variety to my bowl). All in all I think its a great place and the food is absolutely delicious! I’ll probably even go there for lunch today cause this review is making me crave some of that tastiness haha!

I wouldn’t call this my best first experience with mongolian food, only because this is fast food. It was really sweet for my taste. Also, what I thought to be a lot of meat and veggies really didn’t turn out a lot at all. Once they put it on the grill, including the noodles, the portions look horrible. My stack of meat and veggies in my bowl(which looked like a mountain) turned out to be an incredibly small portion compaired to the noodles they gave. Also, the«demon lady» here gave me a cold look when I was debating if I wanted to eat this or not.
