MUD Shop

so I am rewriting my review. I first off want to say my experience in 2003 was 1000 percent different then 2015! Lisa levridge is the best teacher I have ever had. I love her discipline but also her down to earth straight forward approach. She is not a name dropper or full of her self but a skilled artist. I can not say enough about how grateful I am for her. In 2003 I felt ripped off paying so much money for makeup school. Mudd allows you to to audit classes. Meaning if you have taken the course you can sit in during another class if needed. After a little over ten years I went back and pretty much retook the class! WOW! The makeup has changed and is much more up to date. The teachers are professionals and want to help as much as possible. I felt grateful and honored to have Lisa as a teacher. I learned so much. I have been working the past few years and there were a few things I was having trouble with. I couldn’t figure out why. Lisa helped me with using my brushes differently… it was a night and day make up «look» I felt my confidence was re lifted and my makeup is improved! Thank you!

I was told that the product I was trying to refill was the same one I had before. I tested it before I purchased and agreed. When I got home I found it was not the right product. I called and explained what happened but since I had touched it already I could not return it (even though it was in the store). They did say I could talk to the manager, but by then it just made me more furious.

Fantastic layout, easy parking, the selection is awesome and staff was eager to help. It was so cool to be able to see a class going on from the sidewalk.

They don’t have a large selection of color options as say MAC cosmetics, however the quality of their products is great!!!

You know, it’s been almost a year since I graduated, and I am still going back for some of their products to restock my kit with, so that’s saying something. The staff is SUPER friendly and extremely helpful! You don’t have to be a student to shop here, (but you don’t get the discount.) Worth checking out if you’re looking to try some new products or buy some essentials in bulk. Love ya, MUD!

MUD is huge now. Back when I was at MUD, this here establishment was the admin/​classroom area. They’ve gotten so big that the the administration moved down the street.
I think the classrooms are still here, but the bulk of it is the Mudshop. As former student, I get sweet deals on makeup, supplies, and prosthetics, etc… %40 off to be exact. They also have a website, and in some cases, when in a crunch, I’ll order from the web. It’s fast, cheap, and easy; considering they also have a warehouse in the area as well.
MUD is self contained, and that makes them a very efficient bunch.

this may be a biased review… but it’s all good. :)
professional makeup products for the professional makeup artist! i love the products. i use it all the time and always go back to restock my kit. of course, students and alumni receive a discount. :)
you can find everything you need for your makeup kit as well as airbrush kit and tools. they have their own makeup designory line created by professional makeup artists. they also carry temptu and ben nye. you can also purchase educational books… the same books used for the classes. they serve as a great resource for aspiring and established makeup artists!
the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. sean, the store manager, is great! i love that guy! they sell some super duper cute apparel too! i just got the new thermal shirts. soooo cute!
