Legit one of the best Phillys I’ve ever had! You can’t resist but but eat the entire sandwich. Come in with a big appetite and go home happy. Hooked!

These sandwiches are great. But what’s even better are the peanut butter cookies they have at the counter. They are literally like Girl Scout cookies lol.

It’s oooey-gooey good. I really don’t care for philly cheesesteaks, but I gave it a go and had a wonderful time eating.

I’m from the East Coast and this is better than any cheese steak I’ve had from Philadelphia. The onion rings are the best! Not a fancy foofoo place, but who cares, you’re eating cheese steak and fries.

I’m all about the Philly Steak sandwich so when I passed by this joint I knew I was meant to stop in. Service was cool and the price was OK in clean comfortable place. The reason = The Philly Steak, for me? really lacked that flavor and Mmmm that I was expecting. Would I go back, maybe if I was in that area; maybe.

Very disapppinted! $ 11.00 for not more than 10 inch if not less chopped meat, Whiz Cheese and mushrooms and MD drink. I will make this short. First of all, very stingy with portion! The meat did not taste good at all. I doubt this was rib eye meat but rather chuck slices chopped while grilling. The mushrooms were saggy, tasted like they came out of a can or a jar, small tiny grayish looking. The cheese wiz was really watery. I did not enjoy this sandwich at all… money wasted… never again.

I tried their regular Cheesesteak, but told them to add Mayo, Mushrooms, and Grilled Onions Closest sandwich to the ones in Philadelphia. The flavors and the seasonings are perfect, making you want to come back! The way they have to place designed too, it has the classic black and white diner theme. I also noticed on the wall, a few celebrities had been there too. I also tried their Pizza Fries. Meh. I like«chili cheese» fries much more than«a pizza sauce w/a slice of American cheese» fries. I’ve never seen«Pizza Fries» before, so I had to try it! I guess when you are the best in LA you must have made millions of them and have perfected the art. This place is nothing fancy but the food is amazing, t’s not the cheapest lunch, but for a specialty item like this, I’d say it’s a pretty fair deal. About $ 9 for a sandwich and a drink. Looking closer to $ 12-$ 13 if you add fries. food is delicious here!

It was ok. 15 $ for a sandwich fries and a drink. Overpriced. Got the cheesesteak and the meat wasn’t really hot either. Fries were good.

I was craving a lot of meat so why not try a philly cheese steak. The meat was really fresh and cooked right. The guys there were friendly. Try their specials.

What’s the most important ingredient in a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich? If you answered«the bread» then you are right! The bread is the most important ingredient in making a Philly Cheesesteak, and Philly’s Best has a great tasting bread. I don’t know if they make it fresh in the back, or if its frozen, but it tastes great! Recently, I’ve been exploring different Philly Cheesesteak spots in LA, so my friend recommended I try this place. Of course, its not better than the ones I tried in Philadelphia, but it is the best in LA out of all the spots I’ve tried so far — and yes, I’ve tried over 40 different spots already! At some places, the bread is really dry, which I HATE. But here, its a very soft bread, and the cheese is melted perfectly on the meat, and their meat tastes great too! I tried their regular Cheesesteak, but told them to add Mayo, Mushrooms, and Grilled Onions! WOWW! Closest sandwich to the ones in Philadelphia. The flavors and the seasonings are perfect, making you want to come back! The way they have to place designed too, it has the classic black and white diner theme. I also noticed on the wall, a few celebrities had been there too. If you’re visiting or have moved from Philadelphia to LA, and you miss that Philly Cheesesteak sandwich you would eat back home, then make sure to come to Philly’s Best!!! The employees are also very nice and professional.

Really good sandwiches, kinda grumpy service, I mean not to the point that it upsets you, just a bit edgy… And the frys? Awesome! Get a frequent flyer card, you’ll probably use it!

Ordered the cheese attack on the specials menu and fries. My friend and I thought it was okay; my friend thought the onions were too limp, and the quality of meat for me was only okay. I felt like there were not enough mushrooms in mine either. The fries were good though! Thick cut and crispy on the outside yet soft on the inside. Don’t forget to add Old bay seasoning to the fries! They also don’t have water cups so I recommend buying a drink– I got super thirsty after eating half of my sandwich.

My journey to try Philly’s Best started with a conversation with a woman on a plane who is from Philly. I told her how I missed Pat’s so badly, and hardly(if any) give you the choice of Cheese Wiz. So after a 30 minute conversation, she recommended Philly’s Best, since she agreed with me that it just doesn’t taste«right» without the Wiz. She also told me that they import their buns from Philly daily. The bun was spot on, miss that dirty water in Philly that makes them taste that way… I Unilocaled Philly’s Best and found one in Burbank, so I went to go try it. I got the cheese steak with onions and WIZ! I also tried their Pizza Fries. Meh. I like«chili cheese» fries much more than«a pizza sauce w/a slice of American cheese» fries. I’ve never seen«Pizza Fries» before, so I had to try it! Though I thought the Cheesesteak was really good, I still don’t think it’s as good as Pat’s, it’s a 30 minute drive vs flying to Philly. Now that would be a very expensive Cheese Steak! And I’m Pat’s — all the way.

I’ve been looking for something that was as good as the few cheesesteak sandwiches out in Philly in the LA area and I think I’ve found it. My wife recommended this place and though I was skeptical at first, the sandwich I had really did remind me of what I had in Philly at Pat’s or at Geno’s Located in a small plaza with limited parking you’ll enter and the first thing that catches your eye is the large cooking top . I ended up ordering the mushroom steak w/whiz along with an order of cheese fries . The cheesesteak was seasoned well and had an ample amount of whiz spread throughout. Not exactly sure why people are complaining about the quality of meat because if you’ve ever had one you’d know its thinly cut steak. I’ve had the Jersey Mike’s sub and thought that it was mediocre at best since it consisted of mostly bread and a very small amount of meat. The fries were perfectly fried and even the parts that were covered with whiz did not become overly soggy. I’ll have to talk to my buddy who actually is from Philly to get his opinon of Philly’s Best and see how it compares. Oh do yourself a favor and dine there since these sandwiches don’t travel well.

Philly cheese steak without going to Philly. This place is legit according to my husband. I have actually never been to Philly so I don’t have much to compare. My first time having a Philly cheese steak was a few weeks ago at work. My two coworkers had been debating on which place in LA has the best cheese steak. Because we had ordered to go, the bread got soggy but everyone said it’s good. My manager highly recommended Philly’s Best so I decided to take my husband here to see what he had to say. He was in LOVE. He ordered the mushroom steak with wiz and ordered cheese fries. I wanted to try their chicken and mushroom with provolone in a tin on a bed of lettuce. I love how they have come up with the in the tin idea and on a bed lettuce to accommodate the ones who cannot or do not eat bread. Two thumbs up. The food came and I was drooling. My husband started sprinkling some old bay on top of his fries. He says everyone on the east coast likes this seasoning. He felt like he was in Philly. The bread had a good texture and the wiz was melted perfectly. Good ratio of steak to mushrooms to wiz. I noticed they use the canned button mushrooms here. My tin was delicious!!! The combination of provolone, chicken, mushroom and lettuce was perfect for me. Sometimes chicken can be dry and flavorless but not here. Yummy to my tummy. I did try a little of my husband’s steak and wiz and I was surprised at how tasty it is. My first time having wiz and it’s pretty damn good. My husband left with a happy belly. We have a friend who lived in Philly for years and now lives here. He cannot wait to bring him here because it is that legit! I cannot wait to go back. Many patrons know about this place because it was a constant flow of customers placing to go orders. This place is in a small plaza with a lot so it was easy to find parking. They accept credit card. Staff is friendly and kitchen is so efficient. I guess when you are the best in LA you must have made millions of them and have perfected the art. This place is nothing fancy but the food is amazing. They have a wall full of polaroid pictures of friends. Pretty cool!

How can people rate this place as the best philly cheese sub??? We ordered CHEESE attack and it’s more like where the hell is the cheese? I saw no cheese whiz on my sub so I asked the cashier and he said oh you guys were actually the last people to get the last of the cheese whiz. Then I’m like okay but you put whiz on my fries but not on my sub. Then the guy who made our order lied and said we did add it yet the cashier JUST told us they ran out. Really??? The cheese steak fries was not good at all. I had better fries at Northridge Farmers Market on Wednesday. The fries weren’t even fried correctly and the meat was so dried. Both the cheese attack & philly best bread and steak was dried and lacked flavor. I’m sorry but Jersey Mike’s Sub Big Kahuna tasted way better!

Sehr lecker und mir gefiel 2010 die typische Westküsten-Atmosphäre ebenfalls sehr gut.
