A co-worker of mine went here for lunch take-out and I had been considering coming here for a while. Good thing I had another co-worker that I have had been going out to lunch frequently and I owed him a meal. So we got here to Tonir. Outside, doesn’t look much. As you enter inside, it’s another different universe. It’s nice and cool, especially the hot weather is unbearable outside. The staff is very warming and welcoming. The menu is right to the point. It’s not that expensive and very affordable. The last time I had kebob was in Irvine. I ordered the Chicken Lule with pear lemonade which came along with appetizers. I had ordered grape leaves and hummus. OMG! As soon as my plate arrives and the chicken enters my mouth, flavors started exploding my taste buds!!! I could not believe what I was eating!!! I heard«hallelujiah song» continuously playing in the background of my concious! Wow!!! It did take some time to cook, but with a long awaited time span. comes out perfection! I can’t wait until next week to come back and try the cherry soda. and maybe a sandwich!!! Keep up the good work and definitely compliments to the cook. I might try the baklavah! :)

Gayane you’re the best! I ordered delivery but restaurant was almost closed, thanks to Gayane and her commitment to her customers, we got ours delivered! Best Armenian BBQ in America hands down!

The food is good enough, but every time we’ve arrested delivery here they mess up. Our business has been ordering lunch here for while but we stopped when someone found hair in one of the plates a few months back. We try ordering here again after a while and they of course mess up our order, back then they automatically gave us hummus but when we got our food this time it wasn’t included and when I called and asked about it they said that it’s because I didn’t ask for it but I was never given the option when ordering. That was the very last straw. We shouldn’t have gone back after the hair in the food.

I had chicken shish kabab and baklava. I liked the roasted chicken which was smelling good and was tasty as well.

This is the little whole in the wall that’s super hard to find but well worth the effort. It’s the type of restaurant that thrives on the food and prospers in spite of the curb appeal and location. The locals know the secret hence the the good reviews and it was only thanks to a random Unilocal search when I left the airport that I scored on this joint!

So good. I have been going to this place since it first opened and it has been the same great food every time. All the hot plate combos are great, my favorite is the chicken, french fries and humus with either the salad or the aromatic rice. Great spot, I have never been disappointed!

I finally tried this place after searching Unilocal and reading all the great reviews. It’s wonderful! The food is amazing. I got chicken breast kabob with rice, grilled tomato, cucumber yogurt sauce and a side Greek salad. This dish was so fresh and delicious! The combination of flavors is awesome. The portions are generous, I brought home enough for a whole other meal. I’ll be back for sure. I forgot to take pictures, so now I have to go back. I bought a Beef Lule sandwich ‘to go’ for my hubby, he loved it so much that he had to try my leftovers. Ha ha! This food is so good, and it’s a very reasonable price. My whole bill was 24 something with 2 main dishes, iced tea and a bunch of sides. I can’t wait to try more of their flavors. A guy next to me ordered grilled lamb chops and they looked great. I like that you can order extra skewers ala carte. Their location is a teeny bit hidden though, which sucks for them because they should be packed with customers at all times. It’s so close to Burbank airport, but you’d never know it’s there if you don’t know about it. Just north of Burbank airport on Hollywood way, go right off Hollywood Way to SanFernando South, and it’s right there. If you miss that turn, take the next right on Cohasset, and right on Avon 1 block, then left on San Fernando, and you’re there. Just south of the huge fake castle. It’s a cute, old timey café, with big bright windows and very simple, but lovely décor. The place is nice and clean too. The area seems like it might be a bit sketchy, but it’s actually pretty homey, with a residential neighborhood bordering the industrial area. There’s plenty of parking across the street. The people who run the place are awesome, they’re so nice and they’re great cooks too!

Nice and empty at 3:30 on a thursday. Plenty of street parking too. I got the Chicken Kabob, rice, Eggplant and grape leaves. Go great. The chicken was spiced and cooked perfectly! I’m a fan. I can’t wait to try their other dishes!

Wow!!! Can’t believe I’ve never been here and I work right around the area! This place is amazingly yummmy and super fresh. I got the chicken breast combo(#2) and substituted for a Greek salad instead of rice with the caviar egg plant and hummus as my 2 sides. All for $ 10 bucks! I will definitely be back to try everything at least once

Our company orders from Tonir often and their chicken and beef kabobs are always excellent, but I’m writing my review based on one dish I had for dinner recently — their baby back ribs! I cannot remember a similar dish in recent memory that was as juicy, succulent, well-marinated and MEATY as these ribs! They were very lightly sauced in order for you to enjoy the seasoned meat. FYI a full rack has 12 ribs, and a half rack has 6 of these babies! Bear in mind these will take about 30 minutes to cook from when you place your order, but the wait is more than worth it… Thanks to this memorable meal, I am now faced with a dilemna, how can I order anything else from their already excellent menu that ISN’T these ribs??? P. S. They serve a bottled pear lemonade soda that is from Georgia(the country) and is unique and delicious… Can’t recommend it highly enough:)

Great Mediterranean joint! The basmati rice came out tasting fragrant and buttery(though I don’t think they put butter in it, it just had a nice buttery flavor, delicious!) The shish chicken and lule chicken combo was delicious. Same as the beef lule. Meats all cooked to perfection. Moist and tender and grilled to the T! The sides– cucumber & yogurt was absolutely delicious, creamy with fresh dill, jalapeño hummus was fresh & on point with a mild kick. The eggplant caviar was very authentic and tasty. The tabouleh was more of a simple parsley version for my taste. Perhaps I will order another side next time. Greek salad was zesty — loaded with everything from the feta to Kalamata Olives. French fries were hot, fresh and crisp and seasoned. Gayane greeted us with a smile. Service was quick, efficient & hospitable. I highly recommend this place. I’ll be thinkin of this place whenever we return to the area! Yum :)

Stopped in the area for a late lunch. I ordered the combo plate chicken and beef luleh with French fries, Greek salad, and jalapeño hummus. Everything looked amazing and tasted even better. The meat was so flavorful. The French fries were cooked just how I like. The hummus tasted very traditional. And the Greek salad was a nice compliment. The owner Gayane even brought out some extra eggplant caviar to try. Definitely have to come here when I’m in the area!!!

I have eaten lamb chops in several places but this place was extraordinary. The food here is tremendously tasteful my palate was overjoyed with the baklava. I recommend this restaurant if you are anywhere nearby 100%

I’d give this place a 4.5 actually. It may be a my new go-to place when I’m in the Burbank area. Food: The food is so tasty and the portion sizes are great. I got the chicken kabob, which comes with rice and with two sides(hummus and french fries). It was more than enough food and I had no complaints. It also came with pita bread. Delivery: It didn’t take too long for them to deliver. I would say it was an average amount of time; around 35 – 45 minutes. They also made sure to include utensils, which I’ve found a lot of places don’t do anymore.

LOVETHISPLACEEEEE!!! Love it so much that I’m in the middle of eating it for dinner, but I took a break so I could write this review. I feel guilty that I’ve been eating their food for over 4 years and haven’t written about it. I swear by their chicken breast kebabs, my husband loves their pork chops. the beef kebabs are good too! Jalapeño hummus is amazing, so is the garlic sauce. The price is so good, the delivery is quick, and the food is so consistent. What’s not to love? We have ordered delivery probably 50 times. thank you Tonir!

I got the chicken kabob with the two sides, the sarma and hummus. It was really a just a plain and simple meal, how could you good wrong with all the basics, right? Very good, I was really happy with the overall dining experience. Friendly staff, there were on top of it, quick service, quickly getting everything done and making sure our needs are met. The sarma, it was the second time I’ve tried it, it’s interesting and not really something I’m used to, but I liked it. Hummus was also good. Sometimes I go to Mediterranean places and expect everything to taste really sour, but they don’t overkill it with the flavors. Everything was really evenly cooked. What I liked most and really have to give them mad props for would be the rice. Simply amazing rice, I was really taken a back by that alone. And for the price, it can’t be beat, really an overall great experience.

Near my work place so I decided I should try this place out. Ordered from EAT24 and it was a very easy process chose everything I wanted. Called to confirm my pick up and also called when it was ready. Fast and inexpensive! Had gotten the Chicken Breast Plate with rice. Comes with 2 other sides of your choice. The yogurt & cucumber & baked tomato was great with it. I’ve tried better but it was still good!

Tucked away in an unassuming industrial area of Burbank, Tonir café serves one of the best mediterranean foods I have ever tasted. I’ve had the Chicken Breast plate twice. The meat is so tender, juicy and tasty. I rarely eat any raw onions but the ones they serve with the chicken are spectacular together. You can get your plate with rice but I ordered mine with the salad. Every bit is so satisfying. It comes with 2 sides and I’ve had their hummus and eggplant caviar. It is so good with the pita bread, or dip the chicken in it… you really can’t go wrong. The wait for the food is quite long, expect to wait anywhere between 15 – 25 mins. They are really cooking your food in the back. It is worth it so make sure you allow plenty of time to come here. There is plenty of parking outside but be careful crossing the street. **HIGHLYRECOMMENDED**
